The different specimens, medications, medical equipment, and patient gifts gives her so many options... but YOUR idea is FANTASTIC, because she could do many of the same items but she'd be using her imagination to create the alien medications (do aliens get sick, or would he be doing alien experiments?) and alien specimens... but the medical equipment especially, would be wild! It would be so much fun! 🤩

What about a vintage miniature shelf? Just random vintage/antique items like a vintage wash board, a gramophone, old telephone, granfather clock, old skeleton keys, old books with some cute little book ends, antique-y type whiskey decanter and whiskey glasses or champagne saucers/cocktail glasses, antique style toys, vintage radio, pretty little tea cup and saucer/teapot set, antique washbasin and pitcher, rocking chair, wartime newspaper, an old mans pipe and matches, an old armchair, kerosene lantern...the list goes on... or even a vintage travel theme shelf. I can imagine a miniature vintage camera, mini vintage postcards, mini vintage suitcases, a jaunty vintage gentleman's hat, a vintage mini pocket watch, a mini vintage globe, a vintage miniature model plane, mini plane/train tickets, a miniature feather pen and ink well and letters, an old style pair of spectacles... that sort of thing would be cool. And something a bit different, you could do it on a shelf like the others on inside a little suitcase or something

A miniature version of your book, the mediums you used over the years, different eras and such. As a little kid I used to draw horses, it was cathartic to do it again as an adult even though it isn't my cup of tea anymore. The journey of an artist starts young so you'll have many periods and milestones to pull from.

Trying to think of outside the box ideas to suggest. Maybe a police stations evidence locker. I think that could offer a lot of opportunity to think outside the box for items to put on the shelf, to use a lot of imagination and even humor to come up with the items lol
