Hello Mr Taff, Sir! Very excellent campaign progress in India. I completely agree that attacking the Maharatha trade is key and continue your campaign east to secure the east and south. Your battles have been sound tactically and your superior artillery and infantry in combination are shredding the enemy! Bravo Sir! Watching this series has obliged me to dust off my E:TW and start a British Campaign. I am at 1750ish and my strategy was to ignore India until I had taken all of the Americas with the exception of taking Ceylon / Sri Lanka when the Netherlands fell and the Island became a rebel holding. I used an army from America to sail directly there and capture it and use the island as a base to eventually invade the mainland and produce new armies and ships etc. I also tried to the the rest of Europe crack on and only fought the Spanish and French when I had too. Once India is under British control that might change as I need Gibraltar for total Victory. But having America has given me a massive financial advantage.
I've seen several battles where you basically just fired your arty, not needing to engage the rest of your line troops. Soo...how about buffing those horse arty units and adding another arty or two to your main armies? Your soldiers will love you for it.
In India, I think you should make a peace treaty with them soon (if your not making a lot of money from navy raids) and make more money and build more armies, because it's gonna be pretty much a meat grinder if you don't have enough armies to envelop the whole India subcontinent.
I remember seeing a video where the bomb catches could be used to take out the 1st rates with the explosive shells causing the 1st rates to catch fire and explode if this is accurate maybe a squadron of bomb catches could be used to negate the french fleet advantage.www.youtube.com/@jinxsya
