The memories of strange times-filled with fear, lies, and a sense of constant indifference-still linger. Parallel to this, there were spontaneous secret gatherings of small groups. Our freedom was reduced to moving between rooms in the house or perhaps taking a walk through the quiet, empty streets of the neighborhood at night.
The streets were eerily empty, and the few people out could be counted on one hand. People like me would boldly sneak onto buses or trains, wandering alone here and there, as you’ll see in this video. Although movement within the city was technically restricted, it wasn’t outright punishable-or at least, I never encountered anyone enforcing it.
To this day, I vividly recall the disturbingly deserted streets of London. Anyone familiar with the city can compare what you’ll see in the video to the bustling pre-pandemic London or the present day.
