I do like your commentary, the explanations of your processes really help with understanding this project. Great job on replacing and fitting these panels.
@@BrandonsBus Whatever and however you do your videos they have always been good, and no one can ever say anything bad about your workmanship. The VW is turning out great.
hey B-man, I've been following along since you started and have enjoyed the resto and all the tips and modern methods you use. Here in OZ there are loads of VW busses and bugs around still however they are thinning out and disappearing slowly. I have a Type 3 Square that could do with some repairs but it's still roadworthy and running like a top, Cheers
Commentary helps understand the process and how you approach it. Being as methodical as you are adds to the insight. I love the original two tone. White and maybe something not so original could be nice. Look forward to seeing more. Thanks
Definitely a fan of the commentary. It’s fun learning through watching but more informative with the narrative. Especially about the 3m bond and the heat. I’ve always wondered about the heat with it.
@BrandonsBus yes but not as much as in US the VW brand is verry big in SA and a history goin back as far as manufakturing the beetle and the T1 transporter.
Keep the voice over! I like to learn as you work. I’ve done a little restoration ( haven’t we all!) and compare your work to mine. Voice over keeps the video from getting too long.
another greeting from Switzerland - and thx a lot for the commentary. I really liked to have you explaining the steps 🙂 Have a great XMAS time with your family..
Awesome work! Wasn’t expecting the commentary, but found your voice soothing 😂 good to understand why and what you are doing though, a bit of narrative - the ASMR is still enjoyable! Keep at it 🤙
Excellent video. Possibly a red and white. Or a rare bright green and white with yellow pinstripes. It has to be something unique.’job well done. Keep up the great work and keep the videos coming
I really like your project. But liked your previous format better. It was just so satisfying to just only hear the working sound and see you doing the great work.
Hello, Very nice video and very interesting audio commentary. really nice work again. The craftsmanship impresses me every time. The cargo area floor from the Brazilians is a little different, but it doesn't fit perfectly either. I thought it was my bus, but it seems to be the case in general. I have already glued some parts and find it very practical because it makes the work a lot easier and the rust protection is really optimal. Greetings Mark
Loved the narration! As far as color; iconic. Either the mint grean and ivory or the sky blue / white - both would also evoke that surf / beach vibe. Just my opinion.
Thank you for another interesting and informative video. You have done an excellent job on the voice over - I hope that it didn't take you too long to do. As for colour, my personal preference would be a two-tone scheme of light blue and ivory/cream, but I'm sure the bus will look great whatever you decide. Best wishes and season's greetings to you and yours.
You are taking far more care in the build than they ever did at the factory. Narration is very good and a welcome addition to the build. Two tone color scheme , but are you going resto rod or straight factory?
Great video! Do you also use optiflow on the outside as a first protective coating? Also don’t use phosphoric acid first or put the options direct to bare metal!
What were the original colors? Original sells and this restoration is so meticulous that anything but the highest value seems a pity. Great explanations, nice to hear your motivations for choices and learning curve
I do agree original probably sells better but it might be too late for that, a few of the body panels aren’t the correct year and mode, but I think the original color was taxi yellow.
I do like your commentary, the explanations of your processes really help with understanding this project. Great job on replacing and fitting these panels.
Thanks! I think Ill try and get in front of the camera a bit more in the garage in the coming videos
I agree, commentary videos are my favorite
Narration was great. And no rap music. Great work.
Thanks Gary! I think I’ll do narration more frequently in my videos

Nice! Thanks for the comment. My wife wants a squareback one day, we really love those.
Love the commentary brother. A little of that and a little ASMR and you got yourself a winner.
Dude! Thanks for commenting! I do love me some restoration ASMR :)
Incredible detail and workmanship
I don’t mind the commentary at all.
Thanks for the great content.
So much appreciation for this comment and for following along with the build
Great progress! One of my favorite channels. No fancy camera stuff,no showing off. Just honest work. As for the color, two tone blue
Thanks Robert! Maybe one day I’ll have all the fancy tools and cameras, but for now it’s just plain ole hard work, I appreciate the comment!
Commentary helps understand the process and how you approach it. Being as methodical as you are adds to the insight. I love the original two tone. White and maybe something not so original could be nice. Look forward to seeing more. Thanks
Thanks for the comment! I’m torn between something completely different or classic and regular.
Azure blue bottom with a white top. I like your repairs without all the big tools. Good work!
Blue and white is classic!
Clear..should be a great color as your metal work is so clean..other choice is a flat color black / od green etc..
I’d love to clear coat it with all the work I’ve done on the metalwork it would look pretty sweet.
We are reviving our split bus restorations and your channel is one of our inspiration
Nice work 😁 I think a cobalt blue / midnight blue mix would make this look awesome. 😁👍
Nice! Thats a color combo I hadn't thought of, I'm kinda liking it.
Definitely a fan of the commentary. It’s fun learning through watching but more informative with the narrative. Especially about the 3m bond and the heat. I’ve always wondered about the heat with it.
Thanks for the input, seems like most people liked the narration, it did help me add so much more information to the video.
Great video, loved the narration.
I think I’ll do more narration! Thanks for the comment
You car restoration peasant, you.
Fantastic work, and I loved that I learned a few facts.
We all start as peasants. Thanks for commenting brocefus.
I enjoyed the commentary, it helped me to understand the process behind your choices. Great progress on the bus, it’s really coming together now.
It is really coming together! I appreciate the comment
I like it very much that you take your time with the WV. Love seeing the progress!
It’s definitely a time consuming project but I really enjoy the process!
Yes narration is great, its great explaining the proses and i love the bus! 👍🏻Here out of Africa (South Africa).
Sweet! Do they have many vw busses in South Africa?
@BrandonsBus yes but not as much as in US the VW brand is verry big in SA and a history goin back as far as manufakturing the beetle and the T1 transporter.
Pretty awesome. I check weekly for new videos. Somehow, I'm so invested in this
Thanks for being invested! I really want to get videos out weekly, instead of every 3-4 weeks
Great narration 👍🏻
Keep the voice over!
I like to learn as you work. I’ve done a little restoration ( haven’t we all!) and compare your work to mine.
Voice over keeps the video from getting too long.
Yea I agree, the voiceover seems to keep viewers attention a little more
Great episode love the words with the work.

Awesome work! Wasn’t expecting the commentary, but found your voice soothing 😂 good to understand why and what you are doing though, a bit of narrative - the ASMR is still enjoyable! Keep at it 🤙
Nice! I think if I work at it a little I could be decent at narration, but I do love a little garage asmr too!
Thanks for the narration. It helps giving us your thoughts and logic as you work.
My 65 split is Sealing Wax Red over Beige Grey, but I love blue!
I really enjoyed narrating this one! Red/grey is a really cool combo, I think the rest of the family wants some blueish color
I so subscribe to your methods of glued and adhesives and their strength.
Panel bond is such amazing stuff, by the end probably half the bus will be glued together
Excellent video. Possibly a red and white. Or a rare bright green and white with yellow pinstripes. It has to be something unique.’job well done. Keep up the great work and keep the videos coming
I definitely want more unique color scheme! Love the idea of pinstripes.
Your patients is inspiring! Great work!
Thank you! Taking the time to do it right is worth it for sure.
Hi Brandon, Great video about a closer look 👀inside the way you did the restoration from nearby.Great work and progress👍🏻💪🏻.Greetings Hubertus.🇳🇱🇳🇴🍀☮.
Thanks Hubertus! This video was a fun one to make, I’m glad you enjoyed it.
I really like your project. But liked your previous format better. It was just so satisfying to just only hear the working sound and see you doing the great work.
I do love the sounds of the garage only too, I’ll definitely keep that format for some future videos
Смотрю с удовольствием каждую серию. С мыслями, что в одно утро начну свой проект
Yes! One day you will have your own project, I remember watching restoration channels knowing I would have a bus to restore one day.

Thanks for the comment Mark! Seems like a few areas on the bus no matter where you buy the replacement panels, need to be fitted and customized.
@ yes, you're right, I have to adjust some again
Loved the narration! As far as color; iconic. Either the mint grean and ivory or the sky blue / white - both would also evoke that surf / beach vibe. Just my opinion.
Definitely need to evoke the beach vibe! Probably doing a blueish of some sort and white.

Classic color for sure, teal or blue with a cream top is definitely on the top running color scheme. Thanks for the comment!
Stellar!!
Nice 👍👍👍😎😎😎
I appreciate the comment, it always helps the videos
Good solid video, nice to watch and a worthy project.
Split busses are worthy projects for sure! I hope to do more after this one.
Brandon as always very careful with your projects.
have to be!
Молодец
Love it

Two tone color scheme , but are you going resto rod or straight factory?
Collab with LS Swap the World
I think if loose half my subscribers, might gain a few new ones tho 😂
Probably going more resto mod than original, it’s already too far from being stock.
👍🏻👏👏👏
Great video! Do you also use optiflow on the outside as a first protective coating? Also don’t use phosphoric acid first or put the options direct to bare metal!
Acid first to etch then the optiflow overtop that!
@ thanks Brandon. What phosphoric acid product do you use?
Very good video!!!
Thanks for watching!
great video
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it!
thxs for sharing...
Black & Red
Green and white
Two tone. Aqua green/ pearl white!
That’s what the wife is pushing for too!
narration is helpful
Good work done. Lets See, if the fuel Panel fits to the luggage floor panel. In my case it dosen‘t.
Yea mine needs some customization for sure, that’s just how it goes!

@@BrandonsBus So It wont win Pebble Beach... ;( .Taxi yellow with white top (right?) seems fine to me. Nicely bright, not the worst possible combo.
Commentary is great, but i would watch it regardless.
Colorwise, either the iconic dove blue, or white top, and colored below beltline.
Thanks for watching no matter what! You are the true core that keeps this channel going. I’m also a huge dove blue fan myself.
White over red
Always a classic color!
Gun metal grey
I would absolutely love to do that! I don’t think the rest of the family agrees
А цвет думаю ярко красный с белым
Project Bus is coming along in a tremendously meticulously enviously way! Pearl Blue Poly🚎
Florida Busses have to be some sort of blue, just such a classic color. The wife is pushing for teal/ivory
I'm sure you've come across MicBergsma's Bus Videos, but if Not definitely worth the subscription. His turned out blue/tealish.
