Angelic chanting, nectar pouring down from Heaven. Sweet Redeemer forgive us all, and protect us from the arrogant evil around us.Thanks a lot.❤❤❤, Georgios, Crete.🇬🇷✝️🇷🇺
Traditionally, everything is chanted and sung. Including the Gospel. Thankfully most churches don't as this can drag out the liturgy into a 4 hr service.
Not true. My church chants everything and the service lasts only an hour and a half. We even chant the silent priest's prayers. A hierarchical liturgy can last longer than the normal Sunday liturgy, but even that is not four hours.
He said most Russian. Which from my experience IS indeed true. Your church is the exception and its probably not even Russian. No OCA really isnt really Russian anymore. Its better than most Greek Churches but that isnt saying much. My Church typically goes for 3 hours including some St. John Chrysostom like homilies from my spiritual father. Pascha goes 6-7 hours. Its wonderful and painful all at the same time.
David Star500 Thanksgiving or "Eucharist" is always sung. compare to 'High or Sung Mass" The whole thing starts at sunset with chanting and singing called the Liturgical cycle that cumulates in Divine Liturgy each day at 10 a.m. 365 days a year.
Isn’t just tragic, hypocrisy to the core, there is not a Crucifix in St, Peters. In the basement the statue of lucifer. Saint Mark’s church Venice decorated, with relics of Agia Sofia, Konstantinople year 1214. They sent a crusade to destroy the city of God, raping looting, you name it they did it for 36 years, and left it in ruins. That was the start of the end of Orthodox Byzantium. Jesus said love each other. When the barbarians took the City in 1453 the pope congratulated the sultan for slaughtering everybody. I can go on and on.May the Devine forgive me and save me, and all of us.❤❤❤ George, Crete.
So far only in English because I never heard this song in Greek they had to do it in English to invite people into the church and they really love it and I'm very proud to be orthodox and proud to see people coming to my face because many Catholics, who are very stubborn Realize that the church was corrupted and a lot of people of them do not like the pope so they're coming now to the orthodox faith and of course your mother faith too, and it's amazing and it is beautiful. I heard some chains from the Catholic Church but from the way way past I think the times of the crusades and they were very similar to the orthodox, so what happened is the Catholic Church abandon that changed it so much that it doesn't feel like you're in the ancient church when you're in the Catholic faith you need more of what the orthodox have the only ones that are coming close now are the Lutheran and maybe others I don't know but I know about the Lutherans that they really try hard. I've been in the church and it's beautiful to0 but everyone must come to the Orthodox Church is the most pure church left since those times
Seen the mural mosaic with the Creed in its original prototype greek calligraphy inscription covering all the huge doors and pylons of this church, declaring: HERE I AM gave me pride goosebumps and happiness.
How come the Latin translation is worded differently. There's a line "God from God, light from light, true God from true God". That is somewhat absent from here
The Creed in the Eastern Church and the Western Church is the same, except for "filioque", "and the son" in the West. There are minor translation differences
That can’t be a picture of a Russian cathedral, being that there are pews in there… if only we did have that many pew’s, but I understand the antiquity of the standing rule. Just a struggle for too many these day’s.
To all non orthodox Christians who praise the orthodox nicean creed of faith and repeatedly state: oh its so beautiful. we chant it every Sunday in our church. NO, YOU DON'T BROTHERS AND SISTERS IN CHRIST. Remember that the 381 nicean creed states that the holly spirit proceeds from the father. period. Pay attention to the relevant verse. While the other creed you chant was an alternation. after the "father" says "and the son" If I make a dollar with Putin's head on it, this doesn't makes it a dollar does it ?
Every Sunday, and never gets old! Glory to God.
Sounds like heaven
All Glory to God ☦️☦️

Never heard a better interpretation. Flawlessly performed.
You Orthodox SING the creed!?! Wow! You guys know how to expand the liturgy! Not saying anything against it its beautiful!

Old Catholics sing the creed too.
Creed should always be sung. Even traditional Anglicans sing it.
The Greeks do not sing either the Creed or the Pater Noster,. This is a western influence in the Russian church and not at all traditional Orthodox.
Traditional Anglicans do it because they are bringing back Catholic traditions in their church
@@dalegriffin6755 but the orthdox priest chants it?
@@vonroretz3307 No, the creed and Our Father are usually said, not sung, by the congregation together.
@@dalegriffin6755 Well, the setting of the creed by Marbecke from the fifteenth century is sublime.
We all believe ✝️☦️
Господи Исусе Христе, Cыне Божий, помилуй мя грешнаго, Аминь
God bless all of you.

Akathist melody. A favourite.
Beautiful...Glory to our Lord and Savior. So utterly sad to hear of the complete evil of the Vatican. God help us.

Beautiful!
its heaven on earth ! gospodi pamilui
beautiful
La mélodie ici présentée vient de l'Obikhod (livre usuel des églises orhodoxes russe et ukrainienne) et ressemble à celle de l'Akathist!
True Christianity! Good Lent to all. God Bless. +IHS+ Francis

I'm trying to find a transliteration of the Creed into Roman letters or a sound file of the Slavonic being spoken very very slowly.
Is there a name for this setting of the Creed? It's so beautiful!
I'm sorry... Cant give you an answer on this.
This would be the version of the Creed that you would hear sung at any OCA (Orthodox Church in America) church.
thopko What is being sung only matches the sheet music about 60%.
it is an ancient "akathist" melody.
This chant is called the "Akathist Chant."
Tangga syurga
I did it. I was the 666th like.

It is certainly a nice arrangement. However, some of it seems too fast. It should be slowed down a bit.
I thought the tempo was just fine. It was sung more slowly than most places Ive been.
Akathist melody.
Très proche en effet. Issu du mode de chant de Kiev!
Beautiful!
