To make things short : Go to the the Layers panel. Select the layer you want to save as image. Right-click and select Quick Export As PNG. Choose a destination folder and export the image. You can also go to file menu -> Export -> Quick Export As PNG
This is exactly what I was looking for and more. The fact that you showed the difference between jpeg amd png savea makes me so excited. I'm about to try this out. Thank you so much, Brendan!
Well, you made it easy. I was having issues with other vids... and it is a ME thing. Your vid made it simple and fast and way too easy. Thanks so much. Now to dive into more vids. I really hope you have info on batch processing. I don't know if I am saying that correctly. I want to take one digital paper I made and apply colors to it... and not do each one by hand. ACK! I will get there. Thanks so much my PSP superhero!
Are you using a recent version of photoshop and is your image layer selected? You could also access the quick selection tool, then click “select subject” in the upper bar, then add a layer mask to the image layer to remove the background. Thats a workaround if the properties panel isnt working.
Does anyone have trouble with removing the background? The things that pop up when he clicks on properti don’t came up when I clicked on properti . Can anyone help?
An easy way to do this could be done by zooming in on the part you want removed (the white between the leaves) and use the magic eraser tool. Click on the white area with the tool activated (it's under erasers) and voila. There may be better or other ways to do this, but there's a quick easy one
One problem though is the hand of the thing I tried to cut from the background is gone so if you can make a video on how to fix the image after would be nice
Did you place the image in a different document? If so, you can select "Convert to Layers" and wait a few seconds. Then the "Remove Background" button will appear.
is there away to do it to certain images this is hard i made a cross and there is words for a shirt i want to make and i cant it stuff it up with background remove idk how to do it
Thanks brendan for tutorial Export Transparent Backgrounds, but My properties there is not quick action remove backgrounds, do you have solution,,, Thanks
Are you using PS 2020 or newer? If you are, make sure the layer is selected. If you aren’t, the Quick selection tool works well for fast selections with similar results to the remove BG button
I don't know why Adobe make it more complicated to export transparent background in new update the older version of adobe is simplier any way thank you.
how do I export as a PNG, so that it saves the POSITIONING of each individual layer? i've corrected the canvas size, but when i try to plug it in, it places it right in the center. i've tried quick export, i've tried export as, i'm not sure how to save each individual piece so that it stays where it's positioned on the photoshop canvas any help?
Could you improve your tutorial? Your 4:45 minute video is only being utilized for 45 seconds. Maybe try making a more informative and concise demo that is geared towards beginners, who may not be familiar with advanced Photoshop techniques. Reconsider discussing more specialized or philosophical aspects in separate groups, and focus on fulfilling the needs of less experienced viewers such as myself. G.B Cooper's comment succinctly conveyed a more effective message than the lengthy five-minute video. Constructive criticism like this can help improve future efforts, so take it with an open mind.

My save as goes directly to file explorer, is this a setting? I don't get that save as pop up box when I try and save my file.
Nice video, but I wish you could have illustrated removing small slivers of background that remained in your cutout picture.
