First of all, I'd just like to say that this is all in good fun, its not to make fun of weird or quirky girls! It's picking fun at a movie trope known as "manic pixie dream girl". They are "a type of female character depicted as vivacious and appealingly quirky, whose main purpose within the narrative is to inspire a greater appreciation for life in a male protagonist". Popular examples are Ramona Flowers from "Scott Pilgram vs. The World", Summer from "500 Days of Summer", and Clementine from "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind". I like how you just went with a whole meta deconstruction of the archetype. Like, on one hand, look at how cute and funny and quirky manic pixie dream girl is, but on the other hand, imagine having to be interesting, random, original and spontaneous all the time. Imagine watching the stars on the roof together, but otherwise she's a person sized cockatoo. You go on fun adventures with her, but then one day she has to pop into someone else's life, so you're left at the IKEA cafeteria with only free refills and smoked tuna to comfort you. She doesn't mean to break your heart, it's simply the random will of s̶c̶r̶e̶e̶n̶w̶r̶i̶t̶e̶r̶s̶ fate that makes her wander so.

I feel like I've ascended to a higher level of existence from watching this. I can see new colours, hear atoms vibrate, smell suns burning trillions of miles away, see into the 4th dimension and for a split second I thought of a word that rhymes with orange.

Right from the start I smiled and thought "I'm going to like like this". After less than 2 minutes when you said you were listening to "royalty free instrumental music" I laughed out loud. The rest of the video, and the character herself, was delightful! Thank you it was lovely.
Plot twist: You befriend Parsley and help her embrace who she really is and abandon the toxic, constantly-comparative "not like other girls" mentality. She's actually a pretty cool gal when she gets past this phase.
But she still ruins your life.

I knew someone like this a couple years ago, she was a lot of fun but the most impressive thing was she ALWAYS had headphones on, and had better hearing than anyone I knew. She was like batman, had a sixth sense or something. She always heard what you were saying, over the top of whatever was playing on her headphones. I thought it was lip reading but she would know when someone was behind her and could tell what you were saying without looking. Truth be told I actually went on a date with a girl who was kind of like this. It was actually oddly hilarious that she couldn’t see how superficial she really was.
I would ask her questions that would point out such inconsistencies and she would just dodge them or brush them off completely as irrelevant.

It's rare that someone can both pull off "doing the thing" and doing a parody, but I think that with Parsley, you both portray a fun version of this quirky girl who is so lovable (I wanted to hug her and just observe her in her natural habitat), while also having her be *so* quirky that it's hilariously trolling the whimsical quirky girl stereotypes. I think she's a great character. :D

I knew many of this girl in college. You nailed the character trope SO well. Every out-of-left-field statement, every moment of "no one asked," was another layer on the crepe cake that is the MPDG. But she's buying my stuff, so I can't tell her to get off my lawn!

Fun fact: The MPDG term was created by a film critic who said the MPDG "...exists solely in the fevered imaginations of sensitive writer-directors to teach broodingly soulful young men to embrace life and its infinite mysteries and adventures." There's a lot of criticism about the MPDG as their presence in a film (and elsewhere) tends to be "...reductive, diminutive, and misogynistic; they are "...one-dimensional female characters who only seek the happiness of the male protagonist, and who do not deal with any complex issues of their own."
Nothing against Amy Kay , of course. Just putting a definition out there for people who don't know what the MPDG is.
