- Here is a duet version of my original tune "Mariposa" that I recorded this evening with my daughter Penelope. Ever since picking up a used Eastman 305 mandolin for her, she's slowly been learning all of my tunes. We thought this one would make a nice duet with guitar. Hope you like it!

Treasure this time! As the others have said, the music was outstanding. But all the way through I was thinking about the strong bond and common purpose you two share. So many people do not have this kind of connection with their children. It will add so much meaning to your lives. You will appreciate this evermore as the years go by.

Nicely played! And great to see the music being taken up by the next generation.
Mandolin was completely her idea and it has been a treat watching her learn to play it the last year or so.

I tried to get her to learn some easier tunes first, but she really wanted to work on that one as well as some of my other compositions. I'm sure we'll get around to recording some of them in the near future once we have a bit more time on our hands. Thanks for listening! Cheers!

I like your style, Penelope. You're getting a lot out of the tune by playing rhythm and melody simultaneously. That's not easy to pull off, yet you did! I too have an MD 305. They're wonderful instruments and remarkable for the price. I find mine a little hard to mic (my shoestring gear budget may have something to do with that), so kudos to Dad for doing nice work there. Look forward to seeing you again in the future!
