Welcome back! Hope you are doing better! Glad you went the pure route btw. Yes branded can improve it but personally I think it’s more than strong enough on its own. Also I love the Gazelle and Berfomet cards and fusion!
I also play pure and yes it can be very powerful :) there are some nice technical plays hidden in the deck. Also it enables you to fairly easy get out tiger king wanghu which can potentially lock down snake eyes early game which is way too funny when that happens. The most OP deck ever having to surrender against that old boomer card

Illusion monsters are a newer take since they aren't of a traditional oh hey lets blow up the other. Its non aggression but more for the purpose of damage. Its gonna get very interesting with more monsters with the category
new meta is so boring i literaly stopped playing for the last like 2 months. Snake eye does a 15 minute play and after that has the same 3 moves each and every single play, over and over again. I'm not even going to talk about labirnth, playing without even the need to read or know anything at all. I'm trying to get back to it nowadays but wish they would make decks that has different plays instead of having 3 possible moves that rule the game.
I've made a binder page of playsets of Berfomet, Gazelle, and Chimera the Flying Mythical Beast, from the Maze of Millennia set-just because it looks cool.
Fusion Armament is nice in chimera. You bring out Chimera king of mythical beasts, then use coatl to search Swordnight. When swordnight triggers to summon berfomet, you are now protected from Veiler and Imperm because of the chimera already on the field and coatl in the grave.
People are saying this is a C tier deck 🤣🤣 it's taken me to diamond rank beating all kinds of metas including the very annoying labyrinth
Illusion Chimera: Can attack multiple times per turn, turn the enemy attack to 0, and prevent the enemy monster from dying to spam attack it. LMFAO OP
