I've had the 3 hand titanium mako for a couple of years now and it is excellent at its price point. It even has a 1200v coating and still has zero scratches. The 9015 movement is still running around +2, excellent.
You don't really need a mechanical GMT, so specs are not really why you buy a mechanical watch but the emotional connection is. That being said, this puts big brands' pricing into serious perspective 🙈
We really need to end this debate about "true" or "false" GMT, first GMT’s from Rolex didn’t even have the ability to set the hour/gmt hand independently…
Not everyone likes GS finishing as it scratches the hell out like a piece of tofu. It is not necessary to have that level of finishing if a watch is worn daily. Not to mention the aggressive pricing of Seiko for all its lines including GS. At this price with these features and medium beat movement I would get this over any Seiko.
So I bought this exact watch on release day and have been wearing in constantly for about a week now. So far, I'm loving it. The bracelet looks great and I'm sure the functionality is on point. However, I don't normally wear them so that already went away and I'm using a Single pass NATO. My only complaint on this watch at all is I wish they made the date indicator a different color.....yellow like the GMT hand would be easier to view.
I would recommend checking out the Traska Venturer GMT. Its similar in that its a miyota 9075 flyer GMT that can go underwater but is a more refined package. I have a Zelos Mako and a traska venturer GMT and I feel like the latter would pique your interest.
That's fair I suppose. With the exception of the lackluster lume I would have to say that I enjoy the dial (white). It feels enameled which I think it is, the hands are very well proportioned, and there is good balance to all of the elements making for a clean but enjoyable design. As an overall package with the case, bracelet, dial, bezel, and crystal is where the traska venturer shines. I would say that it is more than the sum of its parts and gets more wrist time nowadays than any other watch.
I get the video is interesting to some but im getting so tired of videos about watches you can just never buy. Always "sold out" artificially or otherwise.

100%!!! Both traveler's and caller are true GMT movements. Both have strengths and weaknesses. It ticks me off everytime someone says "true GMT"

Zelos is definitely my favorite Micro brand. Incredible specs.
14,7 mm thick is a dealbreaker for me
I initially thought the same thing. 3mm off that is the domed sapphire. That changed my mind and I ordered one.

ahhh good point. I think most manufacturers try to match them, but contrast is a fair point.

Sorry, but between the dirt or lint on the camera lens and your confusion about the price, this probably should've been redone.

There's opportunities for improvement for sure. I would prefer better lighting on the brief wrist shot as well.
It's was priced at $529 on release.. the blue meteorite version was $629... both have increased $100
I have the first generation of this watch -- it's incredible. I can't recommend it enough, especially for the price point.

Greenwich Mean Time or GMT is the mean (average) solar time at the Greenwich Meridian or Prime Meridian, 0 degrees longitude.
