nah connie and bert have no relation. bert never changed side and betrayed his comrades (that is warriors). While connie straight up betrayed his home and killed his "own" comrades. Wait for the end it will show everyone how wrong and stupid scouts was joining the alliance. Buckle up
I think it’s different when you see something animated compared to a drawing because I was spoiled by the fact Eren got his head shot off by Gabi and even though I seen the panels, I still wasn’t ready for that 😭
In case you guys forgot or don't know who Samuel and Daz are, let me refresh your memories. Back in episode 5, when the Colossal Titan attacked the walls again Samuel was the guy who almost fell to his death until Sasha saved him by shooting the hook of her ODM gear into his calf muscles. AS for Daz, he was originally a member of the Garrison who always had a terrified look on his face because he was always afraid of dying and even attempted suicide until Marco stopped him. In Ymir and Historia's backstory in Season 2 Episode 6, Daz was the cadet who collapsed during a blizzard in their mountain training who Ymir saved by turning into a titan unknown to Historia at the time.
Can't believe Connie Murdering them. He was talking so much BS in the past two episodes about being a good soldier and saving lives. And now is going to save the world by killing his two friends in cold blood 🙄.
The way mappa conveys sheer emotion is unfucking fathomable, legit had tears, goosebumps, tensity to be bones, immense hype, and sudden depression all in 20 minutes....jesus man, this show is going to end and im not ready for it.

This is honestly one of the darkest episodes in the series, at least in my opinion. If I was forced in that awful situation with no other choice but to kill my friends, I’d be F’d in the head forever and wouldn’t be able to forgive myself… I think in that painful moment Connie finally understood Bertholdt’s words. Realistically there’s no way the Scouts and Warriors were gonna get to the Flying Boat without spilling the blood of their former comrades, their friends, I swear AOT’s world is way too cruel.

How crazy is it that the guy Sasha saved when Bert kicked in the wall the second time is the guy that Connie had to Ultimately take out? Also, Daz surviving this long since S1 is a feat in it's own. I've always found Floch and Armin to represent different aspects of Erwin that they took from him. Armin is the sacrificial idea guy(and he's been shown willing to lay down his life for a plan numerous times). Whereas Floch is the, "By any means neccessary, no matter how many lives are lost for the sake of the mission" side of Erwin. The side that will do anything for the light at the end of the tunnel. They both took after different parts of him. And are both successors of him in a way.
Man the parallel to the infamous S2E6 Warrior - Bert and Rainer transforming, Eren calling Bert and Rainer the traitor VS Rainer and Annie transforming, Floch calling Mikasa, Armin and Conny the traitor.. I am not ready for this masterpiece to end
Daz and Samuel only wanted to blow up the airship and attacked only Armin, who could heal. Conny killed Samuel, whose life Sasha had saved. This is a very cruel story.
Traitor - One of the best episodes and most depressing endings of an episode of the series. You know how powerful the the scene was that even the manga reader literally STOOD UP. Cannot wait for the next episode Mike. That next one is for you guys. Please don’t miss it!

The wave of nostalgia I got from seeing the female titan again is unmatched. It's honestly so great to see Annie again, especially with all the character development she's gotten in just a few episodes.

I found ironic how Armin was shot in the mouth, losing his ability to speak. Words are his strongest weapon, he couldn't use them to talk his way out of trouble this time, but he still used his eyes to make the man who was literally pointing a gun at him hesitate. This man is a pro at manipulation.
Flock got suprised and attacked because he wasn't expecting that lady to suddenly attack him and he was also looking in a different direction. That's why he got attacked.

Was really looking forward to ep 84 cause despite it being mostly dialogue, it's probably my favorite episode in the entire series, but still glad you got to rest for a week
Connie was ready to feed Falco to his mother just a few days ago so he was prepared to spill blood until Armin stopped him by sacrificing himself (Armin is so wracked with guilt over Erwin's death and the destruction of Liberio's port, which is why he's always so willing to put himself in harm's way). Connie realized (due to Annie's cold observation but truthful words) that they can't achieve their objective of securing the flying boat and rescuing the hostages without killing their former friends turned Jaegerists. Connie also realized that Armin has been carrying a terrible guilt and burden what with all the terrible things he's had to do, and so Connie took it upon himself to kill Daz and Samuel himself, finally getting his hands dirty in the process. I noticed that Samuel shot Armin in the mouth knowing full well that Armin could regenerate and heal himself (but refrained from shooting Connie because he's just a normal human and not a Titan shifter) but also shooting Armin in the mouth was a smart move. Armin's greatest strength are his wits and his words, and Samuel did not want to negotiate with him for fear of listening to reason and betraying his own convictions, so he shot Armin in the mouth and shut down hard any chance of negotiating.

I think we have to understand that Samuel aimed for the brain but missed because he was nervous. It is very unlikely that Samuel thought " Oh I can shoot Armin in the mouth to prevent him from talking, then he can regenerate". I see some people with that theory and I think they are just overthinking what happened: Samuel just had a human reflex when he saw Armin move just after his commander (Floch) yelled he was a traitor.
@@user-zc2hz3yj2k Why? He shot Armin on purpose, with a reflex, sure, but it is a reflex he doesn't regret too much since he can hold Conny at gunpoint just after to prevent him from moving. In the heat of the action he has no reason to crumble he still have all his conviction to stand up in front of Connie. I don't know why people try to make up things about Samuel's actions when it is so clear je just wanted his "enemy" Armin to stay away from Daz and the plane and didn't think much further.
I cannot wait until Sunday's episode. Best AOT anime moment coming up! Tears will be shed.... I guess AOT is taking a one week hiatus for the final episode of the season. And then movie presumably in a year more than likely.
Just so you guys over there don't know, Mappa will be taking a break again and leave part 2 to ep 12, the next episodes would either be them just continuing is, making a part 3, or making amovie

Connie realized (due to Annie's cold observation but truthful words) that they can't achieve their objective of securing the flying boat and rescuing the hostages without killing their former friends turned Jaegerists. Connie also realized that Armin has been carrying a terrible guilt and burden what with all the terrible things he's had to do, and so Connie took it upon himself to kill Daz and Samuel himself, finally getting his hands dirty in the process.
I noticed that Samuel shot Armin in the mouth knowing full well that Armin could regenerate and heal himself (but refrained from shooting Connie because he's just a normal human and not a Titan shifter) but also shooting Armin in the mouth was a smart move. Armin's greatest strength are his wits and his words, and Samuel did not want to negotiate with him for fear of listening to reason and betraying his own convictions, so he shot Armin in the mouth and shut down hard any chance of negotiating.

I don't think shooting someone in the mouth is so easy, even for a well trained soldier, even at short distance. I think we have to understand that Samuel aimed for the brain but missed because he was nervous. It is very unlikely that Samuel thought " Oh I can shoot Armin in the mouth to prevent him from talking, then he can regenerate". I see some people with that theory and I think they are just overthinking what happened: Samuel just had a human reflex when he saw Armin move just after his commander (Floch) yelled he was a traitor.

@@user-zc2hz3yj2k Why? He shot Armin on purpose, with a reflex, sure, but it is a reflex he doesn't regret too much since he can hold Conny at gunpoint just after to prevent him from moving. In the heat of the action he has no reason to crumble he still have all his conviction to stand up in front of Connie. I don't know why people try to make up things about Samuel's actions when it is so clear je just wanted his "enemy" Armin to stay away from Daz and the plane and didn't think much further.
