    I have used vacu grips for a year now. I love them. The feel is much better. I did have to change sizes. I think I went down two or three sizes.

    No lie I thought your mix was a Viz-a-ball with Mike wazowski from monsters inc. because of the color change at the pin. But thanks for the info I'm gonna try this on my next ball

    So you are only gluing the front side? Any reason why just there? I've always only done both sides of the grip in case I might have to shim the back at some time if I needed them tighter.

    • @jrproshop

      Yes just the front. Don’t need much glue to hold it and you need the back side free to suction and yes to add a shim if needed

    I’m surprised no mention of the need to change grip sizes when switching to Vacu grips. If someone who uses regular 31/32 holes for grips just takes out their grips, makes the top of the hole bigger, and glues the same size grips back in, they will feel WAY too loose. The amount of give the Vacu system allows for is significant enough to drop down 2 or 3 grip sizes.

      Well idk of they would make grips 2 sizes smaller for me. I'm already at the smallest sizes. So I can't move to vacuum then

      So what size would i need for my 7/8 grip what size holes would I need

    • @jrproshop

      You’re right missed that tidbit of info. Whatever feels good some people don’t need to drop sizes. Some drop 1-3 sizes. I would suggest vacu to 1” with a 7/8 grip hole

      All you glue is the front? So you don't glue the back side as they suggest down by the ledge ?
      Also some can't take that sharp grip after cutting it, so you use acetone to smooth it?

    Turbo Soft grips for me, I like a little more cushioned feel.

    Since I don't use a thumb I found it easier to hold on to the ball with grips however, even though I used the same size in each ball the fit was different on each one. Some too loose, some too tight, so I switch to no grips and yet to run into any fit issues

    Standard grips with the lifts, just find the lifts more comfortable than the ovals.

    Does the back side of the grip get glued in after you cut it?

  • @Joshuaperalta8

    Did you drop down your finger insert size or did you go with your standard finger insert size?

    • @jrproshop

      You would probably need to drop a size or two for a real snug fit

    • @Joshuaperalta8

      @jrproshop I asked my pso and my fit size is 4 for middle finger and 3 for ring finger. But I wanted a bit of room for my fingers so my grips rn are 4.5 and 3.5 for vise. So is the size 4 and 3 would be good enough since vacu grips would give a bit of expansion?

    Why mark where to drill then miss the mark? Just eyeball it.
    Just messin about ( or for you guys in Canada - just measin aboot
    The person that taught me would fly off the handle if I missed the mark. His theory was measure, be accurate, and HIT THE MARK. That’s how you make each ball the same. He took a little more time to drill but he repeated the feel in every rock

      I actually just switched to 2nd knuckle with grips. I have short fingers and figured out that my fingers don't go past the bottom of the grip. I'm curious to see if there are any others out there that go 2nd knuckle with grips.

    • @ripvanrevs

      First knuckle and I have my grips loose. From an accident years ago, my ring finger is about as long as my middle finger. If the ring finger is tight, I tend to hang up and go around the ball too much. I throw one hand no thumb. I never have to worry about finger or thumb size!

      I go first knuckle for bowling and 2nd knuckle when driving. But never at a red light

    • @jrproshop

      Nope. The hole is still drilled the same, if doing an existing ball make sure you align the front of the vacuum bit to the front of the hole
