Malamutes are just absolutely wonderful, smart and loving dogs. My parents have 2 of them and they're spectacular. I plan on getting one of my own when I leave the military.

So adorable. I've owned Malamutes for more than 30 years, and would not even consider getting a different breed. They are wonderful companions and family members. You could not pick a better babysitter for your daughter.

I love how theyre face to face an he didn push his power...i was always told never let a baby or myself be face to facr wit a dog...theyll try and establish power...yours was very relaxed and looked caring...you have a beautiful dog and a gorgeous daughter

i love my malamue !!!! your dog is so big! he looks just like mine. he hates the summer too! we go out for a long walk at night and i always have my AC running. he likes to sit next to the vents and have all the AC cold air to himself. BEST DOGS EVER !!! recomended!!

this is why i wanted a Malamute almost my whole life. I had a half Malamute/Airedale Terrier hen I was a kid, it was so kind to our family.... 1000x better than a Siberian Husky. Yes the only downside is the hair, my wife is a dog groomer she doesnt want me to get one! But Ive had my mind mad up once I get out the Military I will be getting an Alaskan Malamute! Nice Video! :)

I watch these Malamute videos and think, how cool would the feeling be if you had a dog that grueled for 444 miles in the Iditarod, won the race and comes home to play around with your young child with incredible gentleness.
To the people saying the baby has been left alone with the dog. There's a woman in the room filming and instructing the child and the dog. How can the baby be alone with the dog in this instance?
also,,. as you must already know, alaskan malamutes are praised as not only hard working dogs, but loving and maternal dogs. For centuries, many native american tribes (at least in canada) would keep them as "nannies" for the children, the dogs would watch their children when they would go hunting, It sounds silly but these dogs are remarkably intelligent and protective.
malamutes are very loving and affectionate. They are not always the brightest but they have such loving hearts. And my malamute is very quiet and content. I'm not sure if that is a breed thing or just his personality.

Malamutes are the sweetest dogs around. My niece and nephew who are totally afraid of dogs, instantly warmed up to my malamute :3
