Oh, G, this was such a captivating walk. I'll be visiting (my 2nd this year) in early October, so I hope the sun will come out when I reach the Plateau district. I love all the greenery, especially the trees, there. I didn't get to the Plateau in April. This time, I'll explore there first.😉
Hearing French in your video really has me missing Québec province. Although many people say English is spoken in Montréal -- and, yes, it's true -- I heard a lot of French when I was in Old Montréal and while walking in the Downtown. And I loved hearing French in all the stores and hotels. I'm boning up on my tourist-level French because I'll be in Québec City for 1.5 days, and taxi drivers there have begged me to speak in French. I always smile and switch over ... then panic that my broken French will not be understood. Whether it's s taxi driver, merchant, waiter or ferry ticket booth employee, they always understand and don't bother correcting me -- as what happens in Montréal.😄
Such a wonderful video! I love every single one of your videos, and not only the MTL ones. I usually don't comment because I ramble, like this, but like others enjoy, I too enjoy your POVs, naturalistic captures, clear images -- and your devotion to walking incredible distances to share with your viewers. That's awesome exercise, too! Depending on my energy level when I'm on my trip, I'd like to try walking to the Plateau from my hotel, which is close to the Milton Park area. Earlier this year I rewatched a video in which you did such a walk. So, I'll start from my rue Sherbrooke hotel, bottled water in hand and walking shoes on feet.😁

Gabriela, next time you're in Montreal, definitely visit the Plateau area. You can easily walk from Downtown to Plateau in under 30 min. Take breaks if needed. I think I have a few videos where I walked from Downtown to Plateau. There are many tree-lined streets in Plateau. You should definitely stroll on St Andre and Mentana Streets. Enjoy!

A beautiful neighborhood. I heard on the news the city is going to invest to revamp Jeanne-Mance Park by 2026
