Yes people from India are very calm because of their high and intelligence I'm sure they know how to fight by sizing their opponents up..God Bless India❤️
Dhalsim is definitely the most unique character in Street Fighter. He's one of the most powerful characters in the game, yet by nature he is not a fighter -- he doesn't believe violence is the proper way of settling conflicts, so he has to be goaded into a battle.
A lot of people think that Dhalsim is a canibal because of the skulls on his ring. He wears the skull to remember his 3 children who died because of a disease. Poor children
@Ryan Guidry I'm from India and there is no rabies plague shit here. And we do have rabies vaccinnes which are much cheaper than western countries, because our healthcare is very affordable and of high quality too. We do have a large population of stray dogs but thats because we Indians inherently believe in animal rights and don't believe in "putting an animal down" just because he made his home in front of yours.
Sometimes some people say that characters like Dhalsim are too stereotyped. But I think it's good that in pop culture they create stereotyped characters. Because it is precisely the stereotypical characteristics of nations that make them so interesting and memorable. For example, if you depict a Russian without a hat with earflaps or some other characteristic features of Russian culture (such as balalaika, vodka, etc.), then you get another boring white European who will be indistinguishable from a German or a Canadian. Also, if you remove the turban, yoga, etc. from Dalsim, you will get an unremarkable character from Asia. It's great that there are, for example, Japanese samurai and Chinese kungfu, it gives us cultural differences and diversity. Dhalsim is one of my favorite video game characters and because of him I became interested in Indian culture and mythology.
M from India and i can confirm that we had many and may be several such yogis in the past which real supernatural powers still some of them can be tracked in deep Himalayas doing extreme meditation and they mostly worship Shiva the ultimate YOGI
I just want to let everyone know that I wasn't saying Alex thought that Dhalsim was a mugger based on skin color. I was saying that Alex was, despite his intelligence, environmental upbringing and current situation, was being to hostile out of fear. Most muggers wear clothing that doesn't make them stand out in a crowed. Doing the opposite would eventually lead to the culprit being arrested if his or her victims report the crime. But I might be reading to much into this. After all the point of the story setup was to give the two characters a reason to fight so the player could have fun in the story.
After years of using the internet and observation, I have concluded that youtube is the second worst site on the internet, in terms of the quality of its audience, only behind Twitter. Where such types will say the most stupid and ignorant crap without thinking twice. certainly the anonymous nature of the internet will promote such pathetic behavior, but still, there's a limit to the absurd. It's really pathetic how you idiots don't realize how contradictory you are, ranting about ignorance, prejudice based on skin and yadda yadda, when in reality you are displaying the behavior that you are criticizing. Truly pitiful
Dhalsim use to scare me as a kid. I'd be watching my brother playing street fighter and then there was Dhalsim. White eyes, tan skin with red marks, stretching limbs and breathing fire. When I think back I can't remember why he creeped me out so much
I wanna know, how did Dhalsim TANK a Satsui no Hado fueled punch? Did Ryu sense he was there and didn't punch that hard? No, that can't be it, the sound effect was loud. How did he do that?
knowing Dhalsim and how yoga is potrayed as a soft martial arts in SF, he didn't tank the punch. He accepts and rides the flow of the satsui, dispelling it
In this game having no Iris on their eyes is an indication that they're OP, and you wouldn't wanna mess with them... he's kinda like Oro, both are strong, but they restrain themselves of their true strength.
I think you forgot one thing in street fighter 4 he said as his intro quote "once again i'll win again" which he's the canonical winner of street fighter 2
Manuel Sacha What i said was Dhalsim is the winner of the events of street fighter 2. Its even backed up in street fighter 4 as his intro line before the fight
First thing I bought with my fight money in Street Fighter V was Dahlsim without beard costume. I like that he has one now but you know, you gotta at least have the nostalgia option in every iteration.
In the hands of a master Dhalsim could be a handful in any game you can pick him in. However, fighting A.I. Dhalsim is relatively easy which would make anyone assume he's a terrible character. If you think about it, Dhalsim is the most complete character. He has super long reach, a projectile, some of his attacks (mainly his strong hard kick) can be anti-air at a far enough distance (not to mention his Yoga Flame can also be aimed skywards), and he can teleport. He's not overly fast, but he's not super slow either, which just adds more merit to my aforementioned statement about him, in the right hands, being a serious threat to gamers.
Man if he wanted to he might even be a top 5. No joke. Didn’t oro also say something like that? Like if he devoted as much time into fighting as he does now in being passive he would be absolutely insane.
why does dhalism back story about the clog damn sounds like Dragon ball back story about goku helping out his martial artist friend who enter the tournament to get water?
Hmmmm, how did Dhalsim get his fire? A.) He eats spicy chicken curry. B.) He is a fire-eating mystical yogi. C.) His powers were granted by the Hindu god of fire Agni. D.) He is a phychic illusionist. E.) All of the above.
Pacifism and inaction aren't the same. A passive person will only fight back if they have no other choice. It's still passive as you aren't going out to harm anyone, you are simply protecting yourself. You ask a bhuddist monk, or an Indian yogi about it. They will say the same thing.
Does anybody pay attention to the fact that dhalsim can just stand to a punch from Ryu like that? I’m not sure if it was evil ryu or just him getting a little possessed by it but by the story, evil ryu was powerful enough for akuma so...
The skulls are from dead children who perished due to a plague in his village, he wears the skulls to remember them and honor them, something of that nature.
I just wish he didnt have such floaty mechanics. He was fun as a kid, but even with the crazy teleporting I kinda hate his jumping. He's a badass character in general though. 2nd Indian dude entering a tournament to feed his village though. Dragon Ball had a character like that in the first tournament arc too. Indian dude fighting for the prize money to build a well in his village
I'm very glad that Dhalsim and Ryu become so close. I also love his beard and turbin look so much
I like dhalsim, because he never gets mad and he's always calm when he kicks butt like a demon... Mostly he's always calm!!!!
Yes people from India are very calm because of their high and intelligence I'm sure they know how to fight by sizing their opponents up..God Bless India❤️
5:33 what do you mean by passive?
Damn, I never knew dahlsim never lost SINGLE BATTLE.
Dhalsim was responsible for giving Cammy back her memories
Yeah
He picks his fights right i think then cause vs bison canon wise idk if he’d he win to be honest with ya loll
In SF4, his starting quote: "Today, I shall win again"
You've never seen me play. :)

Hahaha I love your name and profile picture! :D
@Ryan Guidry the fuck? I dont hear news like this here at all.
@Ryan Guidry I'm from India and there is no rabies plague shit here.

Ch*du STFU

@Ryan Guidry rabies endemic? Are pulling things out of your ass

Seriously, how can you mistake a mugger for someone like Dhalsim. I know its NewYork, but that's kinda like mistaking M. Bison for a cop or a soldier.
Like most of this ignorant world
Alex looks and thinks like a neanderthal
I just want to let everyone know that I wasn't saying Alex thought that Dhalsim was a mugger based on skin color. Dhalsim was a psychic he communicates with certain fighters
I knew a Dhalsim master at the arcade, he was unbeatable. He actually won the Chicago state tourney for sf2.
Dhalsim is my favorite character in Street Fighter.
Tyler Abrams me too
Ken all day!
Me too
I’m with ya
Me to
Dhalsim doesn’t have the most interesting story but is one of the most enduring characters with a pretty great personality
Dhalsim use to scare me as a kid. I'd be watching my brother playing street fighter and then there was Dhalsim. White eyes, tan skin with red marks, stretching limbs and breathing fire. When I think back I can't remember why he creeped me out so much
Well I was happy that capcom designed one character who was from India
I wanna know, how did Dhalsim TANK a Satsui no Hado fueled punch? Did Ryu sense he was there and didn't punch that hard? No, that can't be it, the sound effect was loud. How did he do that?
Dharma
knowing Dhalsim and how yoga is potrayed as a soft martial arts in SF, he didn't tank the punch. He accepts and rides the flow of the satsui, dispelling it
Maybe he knows something about the power of nothingness like Gouken
In this game having no Iris on their eyes is an indication that they're OP, and you wouldn't wanna mess with them... he's kinda like Oro, both are strong, but they restrain themselves of their true strength.
Dhalsim is rubbery as hell and flexible
dhalsim is the most mysterious guy that I ever known he disappeared and even breath fire out of his mouth by saying yoga weird I'd say
Imagine fighting him in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
It's not yoga wierd thing it's the mantra
@@sahilKumar-lc9oc yoga fire
Yoga flame
The fires of the agni Deva
I have been waiting on this one, good job dude.
What does "canon" mean? I keep hearing you say that in your videos.
JOSE M. GARIBAY it means main storyline
its a part of the same story. related or in the same universe/timeline.
It's an abbreviation of the word canonical
Canny like some of the Street Fighter games or Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball GT
Accepted storyline.
Dhalsim is the most chillest person you could ever meet
I think you forgot one thing in street fighter 4 he said as his intro quote "once again i'll win again" which he's the canonical winner of street fighter 2
Manuel Sacha What i said was Dhalsim is the winner of the events of street fighter 2. Its even backed up in street fighter 4 as his intro line before the fight

he is kind of a yogic master and a tantric(black magician) in india ..who spits fire XD must have eatenn chiicken tikka masala
Rakesh Sahoo did you know chicken tikka masala is the national dish of england
Rakesh Sahoo it must be the curry
Rakesh Sahoo must have got acidity
Yogis don't eat Meat.
@@udaysatviktripathi1794 some of them do most of them don't. It depends on their yogic 'kriya'.

Dhalsim is a verry good fighter you must know his dynamics and how to use him though. He has awesome combat moves and that fire he blows out !
That Periphery outro though 🤘🏽
Wow! No dislikes that's surprising for over 100,000 subs.
Rufus was the closest Dhalsim came to getting really annoyed. Then again anyone would get annoyed by Rufus's blabbering.
will you ever be doing soulcalibur characters??? if you ever do i would love to learn about the first main villain Cervantes de León
Do Cody and Guy
Dhalsim is progressively gets more Chad in his design and actions following the continuation of the game.
Please do Oro!

He is a yogi man they are use to pain
Man if he wanted to he might even be a top 5. No joke. Didn’t oro also say something like that? Like if he devoted as much time into fighting as he does now in being passive he would be absolutely insane.

Do Dudley next week!!
My favorite character in SF: E. Honda
HIs name might be a reference to dharma which is the positive spiritual energy, like Karma
Oh ok I thaught it was cause he ate Dal -( lentils) eaten with naan or rice. Dhalsim . Thanks for the correction.
Nope there was an indian restaurant near capcom company and was named after lentils (dal)
It’s all always been subliminal or of having double meanings for sure✊🏾
No
Dharma means religion and karma means your actions in Hindusim
I wonder what his Caste is.
do killer instinct. fulgure
Dhalsim is my favourite character
My man with the Periphery in the background
Do Ibuki

Do Kasumi from DOA

WHAT KIND OF FIRE DOES HE USE KI OR REAL FIRE
Hmmmm, how did Dhalsim get his fire?
A.) He eats spicy chicken curry.
B.) He is a fire-eating mystical yogi.
C.) His powers were granted by the Hindu god of fire Agni.
D.) He is a phychic illusionist.
E.) All of the above.
I wonder if he could can do similar things that Luffy or Reed Richards can.
Doubt it...their bodies are literally made of rubber and they can do crazy shit...I would compare Dhalsim stretch to piccolo's stretch
@@tuff3jay yeah that’s a fairer comparison.
That doesn't sound like a pacifist lol yeah I'm a vegetarian except for when I eat meat
Being a pacifist doen't mean not doing anything when you see wrong things happening
Dhalsim has a great impact in the background story of my favorite character, Cammy, so I really like him! :)
Dhalsim fights only for his country
Pacifism and inaction aren't the same. A passive person will only fight back if they have no other choice. It's still passive as you aren't going out to harm anyone, you are simply protecting yourself. You ask a bhuddist monk, or an Indian yogi about it. They will say the same thing.

Yeah, I peeped that too. Bro just tanked it like the passive diesel he is.
but what's up with the Skills around his neck lol
I mean skulls
The darker side of Yoga, I think. There are certain tribes that resort to cannibalism and wear the skulls of their victims.
The skulls are from dead children who perished due to a plague in his village, he wears the skulls to remember them and honor them, something of that nature.
thanks playas
I'd love to learn of Oro or Necro
His wife's name is Sally?!?
🤔
There they mean Sari, as the name of Indian women's clothing
plz make video on kair's history
I kinda want to see more about this Mahesh guy
Wait theres a story for street fighter V?
the real question is
is there really such a game named Street Fighter :/
He was in the 1st street fighter 1991
I always thought Dhalsim was a scientist and was responsible for the transformation of Blanka
Just an idea, HBTW on Overwatch and TF2 characters
He is a hard character to play.
With the English Caption every time you pronounce his name we get different names. Dhalsim, Dolson, Dawson, Olson, Boston..
Dhalsim's fire is actually an illusion.
Do Sean Matsuda
I just wish he didnt have such floaty mechanics. He was fun as a kid, but even with the crazy teleporting I kinda hate his jumping. Name drogan ball
He's the reincarnation buu.
Uub
Dhalsim aka badass Gandhi
If you eat curry at night...
You will also be able to give out yoga fire at the morning...
Do Ibuki Next Please
Did somebody say Yoga - Fabian
OK but...why does he wear a 3 skull necklace like its just fashion?
Yeah but how powerful is he?
Dhalsim is the ultimate YOGi 🧘🏽
Actually dhalsim was in 2
Dhalsim = Obi Wan
Did I hear periphery? :)
I might be conjecturing here but I think his character personality and history is kinda inspired on Gandhi
Nah Gandhi is a piece of shit
No, it's inspired form the Yogis of india
History of Necro
This dude is namu or nam in the dub from dragon ball
It seems like Dhalsim can beat everyone but doesn't want to do to his peaceful nature.
Dhalsim must've ate the gomu gomu no mi
