yep! that would add an extra combo point. also the push trap is apparently a really good way of doing this. depending on the choke point you're working with you can get all sorts of physics and damage traps working together to create a really awesome kill sequence and score huge combos!

Being good at gaming is relative on youtube. Well, relative to your channel. If you base your channel around you being "badass" at a particular game/genre than you better bring it. I wont say any Yogscast personality is good/bad at gaming. it doesnt matter. They are excellent at what they do, making entertaining commentaries and videos. Sips can tackle any game and make it entertaining for his subs. That's a priceless skill to have. Thanks for the grammar correction, fail on me!
Sips, just a heads up in terms of skulls. You only need about 400 ~ 500 skulls to get 10 items fully upgraded. Then just refund whenever you need a different load out. To get everything in the shop I think you need around 2000 or 2500. The best way to gain skulls is in Endless mode.
I play OMD, and I just wanted to give you a word of warning about the floor scorcher, Sips. When it flips up, it will act like a spring trap and flip enemies that are on top of it, so just keep in mind that you may be flinging you foes toward you.
You make me want this game, but I haven't had a chance (or time) to purchase and play it. I really like games like this and the idea of a 3D tower defense game is probably the best ever.

I've been practicing combos lately too, that's cool that you decided to do an episode on it. I'd really like if you make tactics episodes a regular part of the series :)
Now I'm off to see if I can beat that high score lol. I always consider your score as a daily challenge for OMD2.
Good job sipsy, I was wondering when you were going to puzzle out the bonuses.
Sips you can use barricades to make it into a 1 way system . Then put a spring trap to launch orcs in to a grinder . Use a wind belt to gather them up
A general tip for comboing is to try to go for as many physics traps as possible (as the combos last longer) and to not go overkill with the damage traps (the second scorcher sort of messed up the combos by killing the orcs too early).
My $0.02: I would enjoy watching you try all the levels again while trying to go for high scores. To be fair, I'd enjoy watching you play any game, in any Sipsonian style.

bloody hell I just finished rewatching the orcs must die 1 playthrough, hes gone from using just spike traps and steve with nothing really fancy to mega pro "sniff" our sips is all grown up. You can now have that shiny yellow bike! (they'd run out of the red one)
There's a unique that fire will deal extra damage off the webs, but actually you have to carefully under- and over-kill enemies. Sometimes the traps cannot be fully or even at all upgraded or they will be killed too quickly. The key to combos and high scores is to hit them with as many traps and weapons as possible in one second. Heavy enemies really mess this up.

This is an interesting way of getting combos, maybe you could switch out the grinder for the Void wall when you have a bit more space on the walls.

Quick note, you can get both specials on trinkets, they're not unique. Shield icon means unique, cog icon means not unique.
Sips_ this is a bit silly. You got 108,000 for that. If you use nothing but the wind belt to push them all off you get about 139,000. But I can see you had fun so it's ok :)

I think that the fire removes the webs, but I am not certain... At any rate if you separated out the two web spinners, it would be more effective and same with the floor burner traps.
FREAKING GOOD SCORE THOUGH!
Sips can't double jump yet. You can only do that once you complete the campaign. But yeah, you're right, it's great once you can do it. The sorceress can sort of 'hover', which is even better.
Here's one challenge for you:
For any map that isn't the first few levels, complete it with only one trap that causes damage directly. All other traps (push, fling, tar etc.) must revolve around said trap. Spores aren't allowed.

Use the lightning ring with the Chill Thunderstorm.... adds to combos and snares everything in the killbox. I use it every level
Neat video. Always like the Orcs Must Die stuff. It got me hankering to roll up my sleeves and get back to the game.
Question though Sips: any chance we'll ever see a sorceress play through/messing about? I feel like with the different primary weapon, and lack of tar traps, it makes for a very different kind of play.

Sips, for the love of god, get the barricade's Unique 2, it allows them to self repair after taking damage; so long as they don't get destroyed completely, they'll keep regenerating; makes sappers much easier to handle.

Actually it's up, Duncan, Rythian, and Zoey have been coming out with episodes on the server. Sips and Sjinn have just moved on to Voltz instead of tekkit for now.
I would've used the spring traps (and other physics traps such as the pusher) to fling them into the grinder for the physics trap combo bonus.

Maybe try to tar them instead of web because the web gets burned off with the fire..... also replace the floor scorcher directly across from the grinder (the one that shoots fire directly towards the grinder) with a spring trap that can launch them at the grinder

I hope that after he completes story mode, he keeps going with this game. Perhaps he could turn the in-game weekly challenge into a regular video thing, or bring in a co-op partner for the classic levels.

How about completing a level, say crunch (it's a hard one) only with items you've never used in OMD2? It'd be a great way of showing off the plethora of stuff available in OMD2 and it would be a good way of getting you completely out of your comfort zone.
