I do agree that the cap design resembles the M43 cap, but in my opinion it resembles DAK's (Afrika Korps) M41 cap due to the presence of the grommets and fake ear flaps. P.S: just found your channel accidentally this morning and I love it! Subbed! :) :)
You should definitely do the Halo Marines & Orbital Drop Shock Troopers, the Hazardous Environment Combat Unit from Half Life, & definitely the gurlukovich mercs & the genome soldiers from MGS.
A friend of mine worked for the production team that made the armor and guns for the movie, he has Michael ironside's helmet and armor that was worn in the movie and Denise Richards black jumpsuit that was worn when she was captured by the brain bug. Really cool!

For $75 it's a good price but I think it may be discontinued or something odd like that. When I saw this film I was blown away, this and Space: Above and Beyond seemed more realistic to me than Full Metal Jacket. Before I get lectures I am a decorated Vet and have seen combat first hand.
The dress uniform of the MI as described by Heinlein was blue pants and maroon tunic. Unfortunately, that was all the detail he supplied, so the rest was left to the reader's imagination.
I've seen a county fair in Puyallup wa display with some of the mobile infantry outfits. We all knew the phrases used..you wanna live forever!!?? And RICOS ROUGH NECKS!!! fleet does the flyin while infantry does the dying... Great movie
There are some affordable builders clothing/work gear kits available in a similar colour grey, that resemble the mobile infantry kit. Even black nylon belts and pouches....just add patches and you are ready for the bug hunt! Great fun this video, thanks! Space above and beyond is a good one, do that!
Finally someone mentioned the power rangers part in the combat armor. Every video or article I've been has never mentioned it when talking about the costume
I thought it was very interesting seeing the use of military gear that had been modified or copied. Something such as the vibram sole jungle boots were used in several shots and a few other items.
This is all good fun. I wonder if there's some more to examine with regard to the fleet uniforms. There's some subtlety with the way the trainees seem to wear light grey jackets and the other people have darker ones, plus a system of shoulder boards for rank, side caps, and a more practical duty uniform.

I remember in 2003 I went snowboarding for the first time and they had helmet rentals that were the exact same as starship troopers helmets. I would searvh for old boarding helmets and see if anything pops up.
For armor, you had A & B but there was also a different female chest piece that was smaller and had fewer raised sections. Also a child set was made for the one scene.
If your looking to get some armor that isnt foam or from Evike I recommend trying to get in touch with the German division, passionate bunch, they're why I have a good helmet and armor set I wear, its pricey but if your hardcore about it, its well well worth it.

It’s a really interesting pattern that actually has a few generations and variations (the red OPFOR version being one of the coolest). It would make a good video, I can see a few videos covering all the Aussie camos like the Psychedelic Smock, Platacam, AMP and AMC. Keep an eye out for a video in the future.

I’m proud to say I’m the owner of 2 sets of the body armor class A. Meaning they weren’t the hero armor but used for close ups, not the class B far back shots.

The naval uniform looks like the "Panzerwrap" worn by Wehrmacht recon and assault gun crews, while the collar patches are almost exact copies of the "Feldherrnhalle" division's insignia.
Great video! Has anyone posted regarding the radio operators pouch? That is a pouch for a 100 rnd Beta drum mag. The pouch itself is much larger than a standard ALICE M16 pouch. Subbed!
If u cant spurce put eagle industries u can also ways go with condor emerson or tmc and i use thos m4 pouches and the frag for a radio from condor so thay hold up nicely :) mine are all OD green and thay co e in colprs and camo patterns there fairly cheap u can get single 2x or 3x and single 2x to 3-6magazine pouches
I know Marines from Halo are a big handful do to constantly changing uniforms and weapons. But ODSTs maintained relatively the same or similar kit throughout the Human Covenant War. So Maybe ODSTs next?
Not gonna lie, This whole time I always just kind of figured and accepted starship troopers was some kind of alt history where Germany won WW2 just because of how closely the analogy lies and mocking it.

It was, I worked for SM Wholesale, the MFG.
For me the starship troopers really resemble the IG cadian shock troops from 40k.
Tyrannids and cadian imperial guard is completely inspired from the starship troopers movie

The rifle is a bullpup ruger Mini 14, you can buy a Mini 14 off the shelf and then buy the bullpup stock and drop it in.

Fun fact the armor the infantry uses was also used for alliance soldiers in the Firefly series a lot of these props were reused for that show.

The canteen pouch pooks like a small black Belgian utility pouch. Also, the glow sticks are Cyalume chem lights and are dirt cheap.

You should do the uniforms of the Alliance soldiers in Firefly. Notably in the second episode on the train. Very cool uniforms.
Some of the Uniforms, Helmets and Armor were also repurposed for the Mobile Suit Gundam Live Action film G-Saviour.
I've seen the combat uniforms in a couple TV shows too, cant remember what but those uniforms are kind of hard to miss.
