@@LoyisOne can appreciate that there may be some who have talent and are able to sing like this without having to work hard to make such a beautiful sound. I’m not religious or connected to anything spiritual, but pieces and performances like these make me feel connected to something beyond humanity. Music is transcendent and I am truly grateful I get to hear this choir any time I want
Sublime music, the sounds of birds, sunlight, the kindness of people, animals, the sound of rain, scripture, the waves of the ocean, and hugs are some of the ways that I feel connected. Anything connecting falls into the "spiritual" category for me but music might be the most powerful of all.
I was at their concert in Dallas Texas on Friday and got to hear this sung in a live performance. Absolutely incredible. Thank you so much for sharing your incredible talents
Angels, where you soar Up to God’s own light Take my own lost bird On your hearts tonight; And as grief once more Mounts to heaven and sings Let my love be heard Whispering in your wings
Met Jake and also sung this in college some years back. Thank you for breathing more life into this song by bringing all of the emotion forward with your beautiful voices!
Music is such a great way to express our feelings. Fill your life with beautiful music, if you can sing join a choir because singing brings healing. God bless you and be with you at this sad time ❤
I have listened to this every day since it's been uploaded. I recently lost both of my cats. They were my life, and I miss them so much. This prayer helps me speak to them. I thank the creator for the time I knew them.
I had to give my cats away recently when I moved and I still feel my heart break every day. I feel your pain, friend. Hope things are getting a little better and easier for you every day.
Don McLean almost chocked on that final note, but this man? Ahh, like an empty soothing breeze, effortlessly. Wonderfully done, this arrangement does justice to the emotional impact of this song. Beautifully done.
OMDs😊 This is like being embraced by the love of one’s life. Gorgeous, lingering vowel sounds, beautiful harmonies inc’ suspensions. Sensitively paced and not OTT. Wonderfully climactic male voices on ‘heard’ before everyone drifts off into the afterglow. Thanks for sharing
Being so familiar with this piece and the singers, and being able to tell who is singing what during the climax of the piece was so moving to me. All I could say after they finished that was "wow". Simply amazing and beautiful as always. Few groups can achieve the level of talent and mastery that Voces8 does and it brings all of my chamber memories back from college ❤
Are you in the US? I so highly recommend it if you can. I’ve hear them twice, once in 2018 in Knoxville and this past spring in Atlanta. I’d like to go every spring if I can during their US tour. Its SO worth it; even if you have to drive hours to see them. They are the best vocal ensemble of our lifetime, indeed!
@@RoddyAltI think they are the best of a few lifetimes, and you have seen them twice! I live in Ontario; if they were to come close to the border in New York, like Buffalo, or perhaps in Michigan or Pennsylvania I might be able to get there.
@@GothicGourdGirl That is most excellent news! I am very happy for you. I shall be on standby for the next chance to see them here in the US Southeast!
@@RoddyAltI got excellent seats, too! Going with my teenage son. Just the two of us. He has no real musical knowledge (I tried to teach him multiple instruments) but he feels it so he’s interested now, as a teen. They go to Germany an awful lot. Have you noticed? Concerts in US North and Southwest, but I haven’t seen any in the east yet.
This is the most beautiful rendition you’ve ever recorded of this magnificent work! The first time I heard it years ago I was driving and had to pull the car over to the side of the road. I couldn’t control my tears. You all are perfection. Thank you!
Let's my love be heard, у меня были мурашки по коже. Скучаю по тем временам и по хору Polifonica. Для меня было большой честью быть частью этого прекрасного коллектива и вместе с ними участвовать в международных конкурсах и фестивалях.
Truly God is a consoling savior as he gives a bit of earth’s sublime beauty in this music , lyrics , voices as expressed in this prayer. I can hear the ascent of my prayer to heaven . Thank you! Sublime!!!
Thank you, not just for the gift of sharing your unapproachable talent, but also for the organization you've created to ensure that the world can continue to enjoy this highest of art forms long after we have passed on.
Getting to hear this piece and several others live was truly a bucket list experience. I am beyond grateful that this group exists, and listening to their transcendent sound takes me to another place every time
I'm sure you guys looked into the background of this song before performing, but it makes it even more beautiful. Jake composed this after members of his choir were killed in the 2015 Paris terror attacks. The choir learned it within a week to perform it at the funeral of the deceased
That’s not necessarily true. According to his website the work was performed at the vigil of a singer who died in the Paris attack, it was not specifically composed for that.
Not necessarily correct. It was composed about a year before that -- my choir at St. Cloud State University in Minnesota, USA was probably the fourth or fifth to perform it. It gained new life after the Paris attacks in November 2015, and one of the casualties was a student in the US. That university's choir recorded and learned that piece and that's where its main recognition comes from
The first time I had the truly immense pleasure of hearing you all perform live was your concert at East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, Tennessee in October of 2021. You all performed "Let My Love Be Heard" as the final piece in a set of 3 works (which opened with Heyr, himna smiður) and after a seemingly perfect amount of silence following the final release, a gentleman on the balcony proclaimed one word - "yes" How simple and perfect his response was. Thanks for all you do Voces8, I look forward to hearing you perform this in person again soon.
This performance was exquisite, beautifully emotive, and gripping. The forte at the end was striking and powerful. Thank you for your expert vocal performance!
All of you are always fabulous, and I didn't think you could surpass that. But you did with this. No words to describe. It's beyond beautiful. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

I have loved and followed this group for some time now, have several of your CDs, watched your performances online and have never been disappointed...your music and musicianship is divine...I have many of your tracks on a loop so I am able to listen over and over again. In the green, blue, heart, heart? Of course.
No language on earth has the words to do your talents justice.
