very helpful.. thanks! is it possible to kick the macro off automatically when the sheet is opened without going to the top menu - EXTENSIONS >MACROS or using keyboard shortcuts ? I'm looking for a workaround when using the SHEETS app on my phone.

Can you save the macros and apply them in new google sheets that you open up?

To reuse your macro, we suggest create a blank file where you have the macro and everything set up the way you want. Call it "Template" for example.
When you need a new file, make a copy of Template, instead of creating a new totally blank file!
