So excited to see that the Fried Chicken are out! I discovered these mushrooms in huge patches last year and they quickly became my favorite mushrooms to eat! If you cook them long enough they taste like fried chicken skins! ❤😁
Great video thanks again for your time and sharing knowledge. I dream to one day contribute to mycology and I've learned a lot from your videos. Mush love
Hi Aaron!! My boys Groot and Fenris my Great Danes and I have been going out at night with my UV light!! It’s been really awesome!! Thanks to you my brother!! Mush love!!🍄🍄🟫. Strength and honor my friend be well!!👍🏿💯❤️
I'm super disappointed in TH-cam for unmonotizing your very educational channel. I really hope that they realize that you are helping educate people on the differences between edible and dangerous wild mushrooms that can be found in our area.
You’re still finding C. Smithii! Dang. I find them here in NW Montana way back in September and, if lucky, in to October. Going to be out your way this weekend, and now I’m itching to get out in the woods for a look around while there!
I found a small patch of Helvella a few weeks back on the western slope of Lassen. At the time I thought that they were Gyromitra Esculenta at the time.
Thanks again! I was just enjoying warmth from my wood stove and watching this when I realized I’ve seen the mycena in my woods! Just walked my path before dark and found some troops of mycena robusta and a single hypholoma dispersa! Neither of those are in my book, “All That the Rain Promises and More…” Gonna check the other book in a minute. Do you ever bring your fans along on forays? Maybe it’s time I join your Patreon. 🤔
@@p3co_ in the autumn I offered a dozen guided foray groups, It was such a good mushroom season. Not really enough out there to do foraging groups right now but I'm going to do a lot more in the fall, and maybe a couple in the spring, if you're around the area. Keep an eye on mushroomwonderland.com.
@ awesome! I am in the area and agree: the season was insanely good! I’ll definitely keep an eye on your site for possible forays in spring and/or next fall! 🤙
Hi Aaron, love your videos! What trees and bushes do those red Cortinarious grow with? I’ve been searching for them in the woods east of Seattle, not seen one. Thanks!
@@baldknobfarmstead5167 I'm not sure about Eastern Washington but we sure do have them here in Western Washington, really helps to have a dog that is trained to find them though.

I'll be eternally jealous of the winter foraging opportunities down in the PNW! Great video as always, Aaron😃
Awesome specimens of orange jelly fungus! 🟠😮
I always learn something new on your videos. Today, it was the Fried Chicken mushroom. I will have to keep an eye out for those.,
You're lucky I'm in New York it's 12°. I love black trumpets and cinnabar chanterelles.

Another epic video, thanks Aaron! Looks like you needed one of those close-quarter drones with prop-guards for that mine!
@@rogerchase8199 good idea 💡
Hi great video! I bet the yellow foot really got it's name from the way it smells when dehydrating lol
I love it
Elvin Saddle are good. I wouldn't say choice. I do dry them and do like a wild mushroom mix for like rice or soup.
Thankyou once again :).

I had a bunch of the earthballs growing in my garden this year, right next to my potato plants. Theres a big ol' live oak tree near by...

Ive eaten elven saddles, not bad with butter and some seasoning. They grow abundantly here in Oakland, Ca.
