Unfortunately, our society encourages us to be unfaithful to our partner, specially men, if you decide to remain faithful, people will convince you that your partner is not doing the same, and you are being cheated on, and nobody wants to be cheated on, because it hurts so deep, and if you cheat on your wife you gain some sort of respect among some peers, you are seen as a man of value that has plenty of women, this is why it's so hard to remain faithful for some men

You said that we should trust ourselves, I’m struggling to discern and understand the difference between trusting myself that I will be a loyal husband and not being prideful and relying on my own strength? The bible says to not put trust in ourselves so how do we go about trusting ourselves in the area of relationships and loyalty? Hope that makes sense
Thank you for your comment. The truth is that we need the help of the holy spirit to live our best life. Our spiritual life is the most important part of who we are. That is the part that you trust over your physical being. That is why God tells us to walk in the spirit, and we will not fulfill the lust of the flesh. (Galatians 5:16) You can do anything with God leading your life. We give too much power to our natural emotions and feelings. Our feelings are not always reliable. But you can trust your actions. This is why self-control is one of the Fruits Of The Spirit.(Galatians 5: 21-22) EVERYTHING that you need to be successful in life is on the other side of DISCIPLINE. With God all things are possible.
The main question is ' can the man and woman stay faithful to each other ' cause in this day with all these outrageous groups, I don't know. Marriage is on the decline here in Australasia. This open relationship bs has ruined the main foundation of having a monogamous relationship which should lead to marriage.
