About The Museum of Classic Chicago Television:
The Museum of Classic Chicago Television's primary mission is the preservation and display of off-air, early home videotape recordings (70s and early 80s, primarily) recorded off of any and all Chicago TV channels; footage which would likely be lost if not sought out and preserved digitally. Even though (mostly) short clips are displayed here, we preserve the entire broadcasts in our archives - the complete programs with breaks (or however much is present on the tape), for historical purposes. For information on how to help in our mission, to donate or lend tapes to be converted to DVD, and to view more of the 4,700+ (and counting) video clips available for viewing in our online archive, please visit us at:

Wow Toni even today still has the personality to host a interview show. I saw her interviewed and she was on top of her new book and her subjects. What a great career.
57:39, If you plan to be in the LA area and wanna see The Toni Tennille Show, you're 43 years too late!
OMG thank you for this upload. Love these old shows. Toni was a great host.
Man, I love and miss the early 80's.
Ugh, not me. Most of the music, hair and clothing was *atrocious!*
That's Shelley Long from "Cheers" in the John M. Smyth's commercial at 23:15.
Very cool find. Too bad the tape ran out as it may had been a missed opportunity to witness the sign-off for that night.
this is useful stuff in 2019 for me!
Toni's laugh at 20:46 startled me.
Classy southern lady. One of the best voices in pop music. Alittle ackward with the posters at 26:00
I hadn’t known about it until I read about it in an edition of Broadcasting magazine from 1980. Was this on anywhere in Boston?
Coincidentally, both The Toni Tennille Show and You Bet Your Life both lasted 4 months and were produced by the same company: The Hill-Eubanks Group and had the same distributor: MCA.
The Toni Tennille Show ran from Sep 15 1980 - Feb 27 1981.
And You Bet Your Life also ran from September 15, 1980 to February 27, 1981.
MCA TV also distributed Don Adams' Screen Test (1975-76), although it was originally produced at Universal Television (the MCA TV logo would have the 1975 Universal TV theme on that said show).
And that show aired on then-CBS affiliate WHAS in Louisville, which has been an ABC affiliate since 1990.
@@danalong1237 Along with distributing Universal Pictures films in syndication, I wonder what shows MCA TV distributed besides Don Adams' Screen Test, The Toni Tennille Show (this one), the 1980 revival of You Bet Your Life and The Big Showdown? (in which MCA TV Ltd. was an in-credit mention since it aired on ABC)
what a beautiful, charming woman, I would have liked to meet her, although I was born more than 40 years later, she fascinates me with that wonderful smile
Toni , so so so beautiful
Sure, yes she was. But this show is campy cheeze. A time capsule! Single women travelers…what the heck?!
Pretty obvious she should have saved some of that number one song money but most likely she was ripped off by the record company. Beautiful quality video, by the way.
Shelley Long is in the homemart advert about 23 mins in.
Kukla Fran and Ollie Disco Christmas Special 39:18. Now, that's a video I'd like to see.
I can't believe I've never seen that. If I did, I don't remember.
@@dpurves28 KFO did a show on Saturday mornings where they showed a kids movie from another country and talked about it during the breaks, which was a good idea. It was also one of the inspirations for MST3K.
They found it.

I like The Christmas Seals commercial.
So WMAQ-TV branded NewsCenter 5 as the news beyond the headlines?
Toni had a great show. I wish it could've last longer.
Would you be able to show any episodes 1979-1980 of the syndicated debate show It's Your Business that aired on WFLD?
same here
0:05-0:15, Tom Scott playing the lyricon followed by Toni Tennille’s signature greeting.
In that case, Tom should've been co-music director with Ira Newborn. However, Ira had much better success with the Naked Gun movies.
And he played the 1940s era big band conductor in the 1980 cult classic Xanadu, and also did the score for the 1985 film adaptation of John Hughes’ “Weird Science.”
The TT show only lasted a few months. It should have lasted much longer.
Heck, everyone needs to be careful travelling alone! Man or woman. Most women are still vulnerable though. Not too silly a topic to talk about, even today.
"At Shop & Save, we're not too big to care"
Que bien.
She’s no Cher or Carol Burnette.😅
Toni Tennille gets a little too caught up in thinking that everyone who recognizes her is a stalker.
Weatherman Jerry Taft just retired in 2018.
What will Chicago ever do without him?
Weather feels different from anybody else's lips.
Why does the "travel expert" have brown shoe polish all over his face?
I like Butter and Herb myself....
Oh good grief. This is cheesy history. When velveeta fumes would rise off the TV set in the living room.
страшное шоу....
