MCV buses is made for very hard work conditions ,its also work in Alexandria as a double but with open roof 👍
Whereas in Cairo their buses are from elsewhere! Perhaps the Egyptian government could strike a deal to have them running on Cairo streets too and be proud of their citizens input into Londons iconic buses. Perhaps in the adverts by TFL there could be images of skilled Egyptian workers holding up signs saying 'I helped build this bus'
I think the main problem is with public transit operators like Cairo Transit Authority (CTA). They have a botched record with their contracting processes in general.

But now egypt beulding 24 new city and old CITY'S will be not busy .and old CITY'S roads now all new and Egypt was use that dubble bus for tourist only. But now egypt make electricity dubble bus for cairo and alexandria city and new CITY'S and we made now fast electricity new train too

Go Notth West recently started taking on Evocitis, Honestly, They’re pretty good! My local area also has Evolutions and also evoras. All of them are extremely nice, and I love MCV for that reason. Great video!
Here in the UK, the most popular bodywork is made by MCV and Alexander Dennis.
From Alexander Dennis, the popular choice is the Enviro 400 ( Hybrid), a specially designed body style for Hybrid buses.
The Enviro 400 is the bodywork for double decker buses.
I also love MCV.
I have spotted Stagecoach with the MCV Body. Bus manufacturer is Volvo....
If you come to UK, you will see Volvos rolling on the streets...
the most popular bodywork is wrightbus & adl with the most buses seen on the road being of adl type... MCV have a very very small share in the bus market

Excellent very interesting video, I’m sure there must be many people in London that don’t realize their buses are made in Egypt 🇪🇬 I traveled on the single deck evolution model regularly a few years ago. I found it quite a pleasant bus in service.

Only the MCV models are made in Egypt. The Wrights models like new Routemaster build undertaken in Northern Ireland. Optare buses built in Leeds and ADL models built in Scarborough and Scotland. Buses are chassis with a body built on chasus

Actually you wannabe bus fans, Metrobus had MCWs in the 70s, Leyland had them in the 80s & 90s & finally Wrightbus has the MCV models since 2000

Not all London buses are built in Egypt some are built in Scarborough UK and some are built in Ireland and a few in China

Seems strange that we'd have our buses built on practically the other side of the world and then have to be shipped over.
That seems like the cost would be higher, especially with the potential for damage during transportation.

the body panel finish so crude, the aluminium body of the bus has no uniform cuts, especially around the edges of the body panels!!!

It's because ADL installs the rest of the vehicle. They finish it off. As far as I know, BYD supplies the chassis.

Why are British busses not built in Britain?
Some are, Alexander Dennis still build the London double deckers in Yorkshire although the electric chassis is bought in from China. Like many other items building stuff in Britain is incredibly expensive now, hence why most companies farm the work out abroad.
Wrightbus built buses in Northern Ireland and bankrupt themselves... you see why there.
Much as I am not comfortable asking the depot why they stopped running the London Suburban Loud 4-Speed Leyland Hydra cyclic Automatic Gearbox Gardner 6LX and Gardner 6LXC Diesel Engine Olympian ECW’s on routes N26, 30, 121, 230, 271, 349, N279 And 158 why can’t we make the same make of the Loud 4-Speed Leyland Hydra cyclic Automatic Gearbox Gardner 6LX and Gardner 6LXC Diesel Engine Olympian ECW Buses but Modernise the insides of these Buses. Also, make it low floor up and down and also extend the middle body part of these vehicles a little bit more so there will be more space for the wheelchair users. By the way, if you could remake and Modernise these vehicles could they also make them into a Loud 4-Speed Leyland Hydra cyclic Automatic Gearbox Gardner 6LX and Gardner 6LXC Diesel Engine Olympian ECW Version’s that if it will be possible and Modernise the insides of these Loud 4-Speed Leyland Hydra cyclic Automatic Gearbox Gardner 6LX and Gardner 6LXC Diesel Engine Olympian ECW’s make it low floor up and down and also extend the middle body part of these vehicles a little bit more so there will be more space and even a London Suburban Scania N230UD Enviro 400 MMC and also extend the middle body part of these vehicles a little bit more. Why couldn’t we have those London Suburban Buse's Pale red on the top roof Pale red again on the top middle Milk Chocolate brown in the middle Creamy white on the Bottom Middle and Milk Chocolate Brown on the Bottom on most of those kinds of those Particular Double Decker Vehicles? Could you put the Loud 4-Speed Leyland Hydra cyclic Automatic Gearbox in the Scania N230UD Enviro 400 MMC and also put the Loud 3-Speed Voith Diwa Gearbox in the Volvo TD102KF Engine East Lancs Olympus and also extend the middle body part of these vehicles a little bit more and also turn most of them to a London Suburban Buses. Sorry but the MCV has to be one of the worst quality built buses Ive ridden on. Bits and bobs falling off, extremely plastic the hardest smallest seats, poor legroom. Looks like the interior is 3D printed!

Bus travel is meant to be cheaper than car travel, or at least equal max. "Modern" British transport is a rip-off. Government should be reprimanded.
