I always point Army to him. Also like the jazz teacher with his writer wife; they reviewed the video by Italian Army on Spring Day and the ferry tragedy in South Korea; while the jazz teacher is better at the music and Knox at the meanings hidden in the videos, that one was intense and sobering.

Oh no you should definitely watch a version with subtitles it's pretty imptortant. The lyrics to butterfly also matter. 15:26 that picture is a landscape. Jin asked i think: "should we go there?" And in the next scene you see them driving to the beach in that picture. 2:43 V said "Hyung (a word used by korean males to address another male older than them who they are close to) i need to see my friends, Hyung." 7:42 "what are u doing?" 7:59 "Oh, it's Jin Hyung." 8:15 (we can smile as long as we are together) 13:40 (we have to survive) ok done and check out the version with subs oh and the ending scene got deleted idk why but in the version with subs it's still there

Big Hit removed the ending scene a couple of years ago. I think the one with eng subs does have it.
there’s a subbed version of this (including a “spoiler” that they eventually removed in the official video) so u might wanna check that out off camera. for future short films do seek out for the english subs there are always dialogues/writings/quotes floating around in the clips and they’re very important! btw there are 4 BTS songs playing in this video- Butterfly (prologue mix), Ma City, Love Is Not Over and House Of Cards (playing in the credits) if you ever wanna check them out. love ur attention to details i’m already looking forward to the next one!
I remember when the change happened, all of us were losing our shit over it, we were almost scared because we had no idea what was happening why some videos were changing and some begun to glitch, it was surreal being there and experiencing it firsthand. It was a genius portraying of someone messing up the timeline we live in with changing the past

You already realising and questioning the empty swimming pool. Lord, you're so on it! Just so you know there's an original version of this short film with an extra scene after the credits, that they cut out when they re-released. Whether or not intentional, we don't know for sure but I feel that it was (the glitch theory). It's Jin taking the polaroid out of the glove compartment in the car that should be a pic of him Suga, but it only shows Suga and Jin is blacked out 🧐

Just a few mins in and LOVING THIS! Yeah Knox, just for the future short film/clips just search the title and 'with subs' and there are versions as the subs will add so many clues and layers. So the writing appearing on the screen at the swimming pool scene says something along the lines of "we can smile when we're together". Thank you!!

The song in the background was BTS “butterfly”. It's one of the most beautiful song they've ever made.
Amazing bro! You never disappoint! Some comments on what they're saying. The text at the beginning says 'we smile when we're together'. RM writes 'we must survive' on the mirror. Around the campfire, Jin is asking if they can go to the place on the polaroid which is the beach, but it is intentionally blurred out. The lyrics to Butterfly are also very meaningful. And there is a deleted scene at the end where Jin takes out the polaroid from the car drawer and instead of it showing him and Suga like it should, it just shows Suga. A lot of conspiracy around that. I think you should do the whole Butterfly song for your next vid 👏
You're right in the original vidéo theire is something more at the end. You see Jin alone in the car. He took the picture making by RM at the Station but on the picture you had only Suga Jin is not anymore. But big hit cut this part of the vidéo I don't really know why.

You missed some important things because of the version you watched. If you can find and watch one with English captions on your own time, that would be a good idea. There is also a fairly important after credit scene that was missing from this one.
Fun fact: the abandoned swimming pool scenes was at a local public university in Seoul. They recently stopped the demolishment of the site in favour of preserving it because of BTS :)

Definitely you need the subs to get more in-depth of the BU story. Check the deleted end scene for this short. Then react to or listen to the lyrics for Butterfly. Only then you can definitely move onto Run. Please DO NOT skip this steps if you really want to understand how the BU develops.

All the songs in the background are sung by BTS and were listed in the credits at the end of the video. Unfortunately, there were no subtitles. I‘m sure fellow ARMY will translate it for you. Jin isn't paired with someone. He just looks at all the other 6 and tries his best in saving them (without really succeeding)
14:05 that song is Outro: Love is Not Over. The song has a hidden lyric right at that part. The part playing is the chorus in reverse which goes "Love is pain after pain" and in the chorus part the lyrics goes "Please Love Me''. This song was co-written and produced by Jungkook (and slow rabbit) and JK's birth flower is Tiger flower which also means "Please Love Me''.
12:35 If I'm not wrong Butterfly is about holding onto a friend who's suicidal, fearing that if they let go of that butterfly then it will leave them forever. In general SUGA wrote it in hope to express the fear of losing someone by using the simile - butterfly. It’s meant to represent the fact that everything and anyone can be lost at a moments notice if you don’t pay attention. But it mostly seems like the fear of losing someone who brings you so much happiness. BTS' songs are open for interpretation so it's up to the listener what they wanna make of it.

Hey Knox, glad you noticed that the boys are shown in pairs. That is also significant. Yoongi is paired with Jungkook, Hobi with Jimin, and Namjoon with Taehyung. The young ones are paired with the older members.

When I was watched it last year there was a scene at the end where Jin is sitting in the car at the sea alone and craps the polaroid picture of him and suga RM took before, but it doesn't show himself anymore in this picture... Looking forward the next reaction of run 😍
That scene is only on the original release of this film but then Bighit re-released it a little while later, and erased the scene with Jin. A lot of people think it was intentional to tie in with the whole 'timelines' theory, but who knows 😂 It's still out there in some versions though 🤷♂️
There was a short visual outro at the end of the credits which is meaningful to the storyline. Not sure why this presentation of Prologue had no subs nor the outro.
The music during the credits was House of Cards. It along with Butterfly which was used intermittently during Prologue are storyline tracks with clue providing lyrics which reflect the thoughts and emotions of the protagonist House of Cards They are worthy listens with closed captions, particularly the live of House of Cards, before moving to Run.
The intro here which you recognized was Debussy's Claire de Lune. It will reprise a few videos later so mentally pin the context here.
That said your insights into the storyline so early in are remarkable so I look forward to your future ruminations.
So from what I remember the very original version of this prologue included the end scene and a different instrumental Outro before house of cards, but for some reason Bighit removed that not long after and re-released this official new version. So the subbed versions are the original ones with the ending of Jin but the official does not include it. Some theorists think it’s intentional to tie in with the timeline aspect, but that’s why this officially one doesn’t include all that
If you want to learn more about the BU Universe, all those scenes being shown can be read in the Webtoon "SAVE ME" which is also a BTS Song. Butterfly is a significant song as it ties all that is happening in this universe and how the members' stories are all connected.

I watched the short films of BTS being confused as to what was happening. I had no idea they were a group of musicians until my very K-Pop-loving niece was showing me every song on her playlist and I watched I Need You, suddenly realising where I'd seen them before.
