If your lab is granted with the funds of a Marie Curie funded position, i.e., if your professor applies to be a part of such a project and gets approved, he'll become a member of the project, and will have to hire a researcher for which the position will be posted on the portal. This is because Marie Curie requires open hiring and equal opportunity is provided across the globe. Now if you're a good candidate and your professor wants you on that position, you can apply to it and he can select you for it. Hope that clarifies. Good luck!

Hello! Thank you for your questions. 1) It depends on your university. If it has a compulsory requirement to take a set number of courses during Ph.D., you'll have to take them. If it doesn't have that requirement, then you won't be obliged to take them unless your advisor suggests. You can however still register for any courses based on your interests. In my case, all Turkish universities have a compulsory requirement to take 7 courses during Ph.D., after which there's a scheduled qualification exam too, so I'm currently taking them. 2) Your tuition fees is already waivered by the fellowship. I believe the institutional unit cost is separate research money handed over to your host institution to facilitate your research. I hope I was able to answer you queries. 1) No. You apply for this scholarship/fellowship by visiting its portal, and you're granted admission to the associated university automatically once you get shortlisted. 2) If you completed your MS within the last four years, you're eligible to apply. But remember that the position is highly competitive. 3) You apply through the portal. If you get shortlisted, you'll be interviewed, sometimes more than once. So one way this could go is that instead of Ph.D., you should pursue MS at Koç. That way, you'll have not only MSCA but other big PhD opportunities too in Europe/USA. But if you begin your PhD at koç now, unless you somehow convert it to MS degree later, you won't have any chance for MSCA.

Country coefficients are based on the economic situations of the countries. I believe having a higher country coefficient may not necessarily mean it's better because the cost of living may also be higher in that region.
