I'm very glad by found your channel, there are not a lot of geological chanels on youtube. Nice video, make more similars :D I'm a geologist student from Chile!! Bless.
This EDC is perfect for rockhounding as well! I have a UV flashlight, hammers, chisels, water spray bottle, brushes, magnet, etc. Great video and thorough!
I'm already at an environmental degree, taked some geology credits, but really considering move to geology degree, ur videos keep motivating me to make it real. Thank you so much!!
I’m a civil engineer who used to do a lot of geotechnical explorations and I pretty much carried the exact same stuff, minus the bear spray! Only extra items I took was a tape measure, ear protection, and duct tape (always carried duct tape). Pepto is a great idea… could have used that a number of times.
Banana for scale, very important in North America. Also, I can confirm in Australia it is imperative to have bear spray as well, but get the local Dropbear spray, it's more potent.
I want to suggest getting a good green laser pointer, they're cheap and have miles of range. Lets say you're lost, and you see a rescue plane or helicopter after dusk when a signal mirror becomes less useful >The laser with an adjustable beam width can reach out and get their attention! Works better with a monocular. Lasers are pretty cheap too. Mine is just like a flashlight with a *click-on* _click-off_ button.
Please make a video with the material that you recommend studying before starting university, topics to reinforce mathematics and so on. Greetings from Colombia 💕
Hii, Mam. I hope you had a great start to your day. I love travel and excavate new thing for me which geology is suitable? Thank you so much for your video Mam.
Boots all the way. It doesn't need to be fancy either, just needs to be a) sturdy and b) the perfect fit for your feet. As long as it's confortable, doesn't cause any sort of pain or rash and protects your feet from moisture and external hazards, it will do fine.
Hi Ezia, Thank you so much! I designed it myself and just made it available in my store, you can find it here: teespring.com/stores/rock-nerd I am also trying to connect it directly to my channel so you should be able to buy it directly from my channel. It is all new to me so it is taking me some time to figure out how to set it up, hahaha. If you ever do get it please tag me on Instagram. It would mean a world to me! Thank you so much for commenting, it means a lot to me.
@@ShyLama No, thank You for sharing your knowledge about geology in this platform!! Its been really helpful and informative for people who wants to major in geology, keep it up! ✨ I'd definitely gonna tag you when I got one!! Thanks!
Hey... I love watching your videos. My question is that iam Bsc student now, after completing should i blindly go for further degree i.e Msc or we should try for entrance, what is ur opinion??????????????????? Please reply🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
The ‘multi-tool - thingy ‘ you show at 10:09 is horrible. My eyes are watering just from seeing it! Get yourself a nice Swiss Army knife, Victorinox or Wenger, they are classy. I have 122 Swiss Army knives ( Victorinox or Wenger ). That ‘thing ‘ you show, get rid of it. Very concise, well explained video. I go in the field on geology hikes. I’m not a geologist, it’s just one of my hobbies.
Well, I never said I use it daily or that I am a field geologist. So yes, you are right in that this backpack does not belong to any of those 🤣🤷. It is now even older than 10years old and still going strong 💪
Make a video talking about the best countries to work in the field of geology.
A hug from Brazil 💚

I call bullshit that that backpack is ten years old for a daily field geologist.
