I remember back when we had a new G1350 propane. Terrible hot tractor to run. The entire muffler would get cherry red, lit many a cigarette off of it lol. At the time "Early to late 70s" We farmed nearly 2000 acres in Southern Indiana. I'll be 60 in a few months. Dad bought it because it was cheap to operate. At the time LP was only like .15 cents a gallon and gas was around 45 cents a gallon. I field cultivated a ton of acres with that thing SEVERAL thousands of acres. Dad bought it new around 1971 ish and sold it in 1990. Good old tractor.
My grandfather had a Minneapolis uni harvester with the picker setup. He farmed just north of Rantoul. Wish I would've bought it on his auction. 😢.he also had I believe the 705.
ANDY - At the 7 minute mark on video #4 the BIG yellow IH 4300 articulated tractor was probably the lowest production tractor you filmed, one of only 47. I'm surprised MAX Armstrong didn't add some history about it. I " THINK" It was the one I saw at FARMALL LAND about 3 years ago, it was about the first of Jerry Metz's tractors to sell. I saw a different 4300 at Red Power Roundup in 2009 in Madison, Ill, that 817 Cid 6 cyl IH engine was the smoothest running in-line 6 diesel I've ever heard. I think IH rated them at 300 to 350 hp, they were used in TD-25 dozens also.
I'm the operator of the red chevy C60 (I literally didn't even notice you filming or I'd have given a tour of it) It's a 1962 model, cab is ALL original. It was a fire tank truck originally. The box was restored
