I must have gotten a reverse lemon. First time I tried (the 9") this at a "range", I've never owned any GBBR that shot full auto like this gun, it was like a laser beam of consistency, perfectly hop BB like I'm using an AEG, but with very snappy recoil and all 30 rounds with a constant rate to a (very fast) metronome. My Rattler was nothing like this.
I saw some people try to file down the hopup arms to fix over hop issue, is that a good way to fix? And... Any issue while the first time of disassemble? Do they really contain so many super glue and a heat gun should be a must to finish the job? Thank you!!
Hey Chay! Love the videos as always man. Been scouting and pondering about getting a "one and done" Airsoft AR for financial reasons, and this may be it. It appeals to my senses, as to say. Happen to ask if the uppers and lowers are the same on the 11.5" and 9" versions and if they're interchangeable that they work properly without compromise. Mainly because the store here has a Spear LT 9" with lower engravings but the 11.5" does not. I'm a sucker for engravings so I'm willing to make a deal with the store owners to swap the guns so I can get the lower with engravings with an 11.5" upper, I'll pay them like 30 bucks more as compensation. Also how many shots and long have you had until you needed to replace the weak Hop up chamber? Thanks!
@@JC360XL Hey JC, thanks man! The 11.5” and 9” are interchangeable and should go on each other’s receivers with no problem. Note the hop up system is longer on the 11.5” since it extends out longer, but this doesn’t matter for your case. I did not need to replace the hop up chamber, ever since they stop making the barrel steel, the problem is not common anymore.
LOL. I was literally watching your 9” mcx review (again) when this notification came. Was wondering if the fitment has changed between the editions. VF-I mean APFG usually makes iterative improvements with each run, but several of the issues still exist it seems. I wonder if their Marksman IX or A Plus models are better implemented. Proact or WGC getting some biz because of you. That shipping though…
Just a question, in your video on the 9 in version, you said sanding the inlet of the air nozzle should keep the mag routers from getting damaged. Are the 9 and 11.5 different in this respect?
Hey Chay, how big is the difference in ball accuracy and range compared to the VFC HK416? Is there an overhop problem when using heavier BBs (0.4g+)? Can APFG perform 2-2.2 jouels at room temperature on powerful gas (Guarder Power Gas, for example). I have a choice between the VFC HK416 CAG and the APFG MCX for my first GBB (not counting pistols and KSC MP9) for playing airsoft. I am a big fan of SIG, but in my country it is not so easy to buy and no one has experience using it. I'm just afraid to spend a lot of time and effort and end up with something that's not what I expect. I don’t care about the recoil difference, but I want to get a functional rifle that will give me a lot of positive(!) emotions and cool photos on Instagram
Not that big if you are using .32s and up. The APFG can definitely perform well at room temperature with green gas so any stronger will do even better, the steel internals should last too. I would go with whatever you like the look of more, both are very good platforms. I love both my VFC HK416 and APFG MCX, I did sell the MCX and kept the HK416 though.
@Airsoft_Chay I watched your newer Rattler LT video and now this one, i now own a rattler lt and I thought about buying a Spear but not the one from the video but the 9“ one - from the both reviews I get they have pretty much the same pros and cons also with the overhop anything under .30 or .32 at least for the rattler lt - is it with the spear 11.5“ the same?
