I bolted my EZ Green to a couple foot long 2x4s. Get a couple C-clamps clamp it to any table. Easy to remove and put away in a closet, etc. I'll do the same when my OMP vise arrives. You don't really need stands at all and it's still easily portable.
Great review of your new toys. I wished every dedicated bowhunter/archer would get their own equipment. And carefully learn to use it. It makes Archery so much more interesting and satisfying when you KNOW everything is correct. The sad fact is many shops are mainly interested in selling a bow/whatever and get you out the door. Sure, they usually get you sighted for 20, but is your bow/arrow setup really tuned? Most likely not. That's why people need their own equipment. 100% peace of mind. Confidence in your equipment is Essential!!!!

As a bow shop owner, I appreciate this content. You purchased decent equipment and didn’t go the “economical”way. It will help people understand how expensive it is for an archery shop to run and validate the expense for repair work. We always appreciate a person who does their own bow work. I got the bow last year and this year it’s been tools, I bought the same arrow saw and I love it. No more depending on an employee at the shop to cut my shafts.
Like any other hobby it can get expensive. My father had a saying that he loved to say..copied and repeated by several million other people I'm sure."You can buy crap several times or you can buy qaulity once." It's only money and nothing is getting cheaper, if you want it or need it go for it, I'm currently in the process of acquiring the items for my own home bow shop, and unsure of which bow press to buy myself. Stand with loose legs. You can go to a hardware store and buy metal bar. 1/16 -1/8 thick & various widths. Get a hack saw and drill. Cut the metal bar to make big square washers that fill the gaps fully. Drill holes in two of them where the bold goes through. This should fully fill the gaps and stabilize the uprights/legs. Take some channel locks and straighten the bends so that your big plate washers do all the work and the metal does not need to be bent. Should be easy to cycle assembly and take down.
hm.. i think this is the best solution for me. my workbench doesn't have enough space for a bow press as it is mainly a gunsmithing workbench. LCA's bow press stand and the OMP bow vise on a stand can come in handy. oh also, i currently use the bowmaster. works fine for it's intended purpose, but when you gotta make micro adjustments, it becomes a pain. i would have to take it on and off and check my bows to perfectly tune them.
My home shop must have cost me over $15,000 over the past 15 years, including a string making jig, and oodles of string materials, along with my homemade drawboard/shooting machine, papertuning stand, and target bag stand that can hang 2 bags back-to-back to prevent arrow pass-through at the weak spots. It pays for itself if you're also doing other people's bows and arrows. Speaking of arrows, you should get a G5 Arrow Squaring Device to square off your arrow shafts prior to installing the inserts or shooting points.
Hello Allie, something I wanted to make sure you were/are aware of. I actually had 2 of those presses, the first one was the one that you have and the second one was an upgrade that I can press crossbow on. In either case make sure that if you ever have to press a beyond parallel limb bow that you get the adapters to do so or the fingers will slip off of the limbs and cause the bow to pop out of the press and cause damage to the bow and possibly hurt you. Just food for thought.
Hey Allie. Love your videos. It’s so much fun watching you enjoying the archery and process of getting your mobile bowshop up and running. You’re a breathe of fresh air and love your enthusiasm with archery and the outdoors. Just wanted to mention the additional items you spoke about as in bow wax and the “little things”. The other things I have in my tool box in my shop is or are multiple levels. I use a torpedo level, string level, an arrow level that clamps onto my arrow when I’m doing centershot tuning. It’s doable by eyesight, however, nothing like having your cemtershot spot on. Also, a third axis level like the Hamskea Third Axis tool is very helpful. As for bow wax, I love and use Scorpion Venom box. It’s a polymer synthetic that also scent free and I use it prob once or twice every three months. The more you wax your string is the more debris gets trapped in the threads and it’s with create little cuts in the threads of the string and prematurely cause you to have to buy new strings. And this is coming from me, a tournament shooter and a hunter. I put over close to 8000-10000 shots on my custom strings annually then I buy new ones. But just thought I’d give you some suggestions and ideas. Keep making your videos bc they’re awesome as you are!!! Merry Christmas 🎄🎁

I actually own a bow master portable press and its no e z press but it has replaced strings on quite a few bows since I got it, weather it is a came out of the cam track by accident or putting a complete string and cable set on for a friend.
The Bowmaster G2 (the cheap option showed) is a great portable option for the bow box, especially when you don’t want to bother setting up the whole press.
That $50 bow press comes in super handy. My friends strings got derailed(i think he gripped his bow to hard and twisted the string) and i had to press it back in when we were shooting.
Its there now and will last you for yeeeaaaars , buy the good stuff it lasts and performs better . Im a nomad myself and buy fast nikon lenses theres no substitute for quality
Not to play the Mr. Rich card but all this stuff is actually cheap for lifetime tools. The real way to look at it is “ how often are you gonna use it “ ? And if you can find a way to charge people for setting up their bows then even better.

Nice set up! You did great. My friends son went out and purchased a bike stand for his bow stand. He paid less than $100 and he said its sturdy and works awesome. Just an FYI should your stand fail you. 👍
I'm just spit-balling here but couldn't u buy some nice 2×8 treated wood to mount things like a vise or the arrow saw to. Then u could C-clamp said board to a structure while still maintaining the mobility issue of your run & gun lifestyle?
Just went in deep my self not as deep as you did I work for steel company and weld so was able to make my own stands but the easy green is worth every penny
Quick cash saving tips! If you want a bow scale, you can save yourself 20 dollars by getting a luggage scale instead. Literally the only difference is that they stick on a label. Yes, sticking a label on there gets them an extra 20 dollars...
Not trying to make an arguement here but the portable presses do the work just fine. Yes safety is important but they still work well. It's way better than that guy on TH-cam that stuck an allen key in his cam, let the bow down, and " pressed" the bow. I do respect that you took it into consideration, but you didn't need to spend that much on a press...

That stand for the bow press is machined so poorly. You should never have to use a stainless bolt to bend tubing. Lucky that it even worked and didn't strip the threads. Just constructive criticism. For the money there should be no complaints after assembly. :/
I used to live 3 hours from the nearest bow shop; that alone helped me justify having my own set of tools to work on it myself. Never mind the benefit of learning about your gear. I think it's funny when people drop money on a new flagship bow every season and don't bat an eye, but buying maintenance tools is "too expensive".

I have that OMP VersaCradle vise, upgraded with the wide limb adapter. Without the stand, it cost me $310.

Get a board to attach your saw, but make it longer so it can be clamped to a table. (Harbor Freight had 6” “f” clamps woodworking section )

Next time you could build a stand out of 60mm X 60mm T-Slotted Profile 80/20 material. You could totally customize the stand with this material.
