Great demo. I recently bought this pedal and I’m loving it. Having said that, given the relatively high price, this is one of those pedals where you’re going to pay 100% more for that extra 10%. I can get similar sounds from a Rat (symmetrical setting) and a Tone Bender (asymmetrical setting). Having that variety of tones, with two different boosts, is worth the expense to me. Also worth mentioning, this pedal has a very low noise floor, even with the drive cranked, and it takes boosts really well. Overall it’s a great, versatile OD/distortion IMO.
agreed all around. Always kind of tough to find a compelling way to present an overdrive because yeah, the value proposition of a $200-300 drive usually isn't gonna sway someone who isn't that discerning or picky. But this one really impressed me for all the reasons you mention, definitely an awesome and crazy versatile pedal.
If I had room for it on my small board (that enclosure can't fit in my overdrive slot), I would've bought it immediately. Silktone are really great at making versatile circuits with simple controls.
couldn't tell ya, I don't have a functioning acoustic/electric. Also honestly don't know what acoustic players tend to look for but it has plenty of clean headroom, so I could see it working well on its own or in a parallel chain
Hard to pick favorites because I pick pedals based on whatever feels right for a project. Black Mass 1312, EAE Halberd/Limelight and Bondi Del Mar are prob my most used ones, but Overdrive+ is likely gonna spend a lot of time in the mix too, love all of them for different reasons and you can't really go wrong with any of them IMO
The break transition that occurs at around the 50 second mark is gold! Whole demo is stellar but that nugget is choice.
If ever there is a pedal I want to hear in a modern playing context, im coming to this channel, you have amazing phrasing man.
ahh thank you, that means a lot!
@@ambienttrash5234No problem at all dude, you also got a cool taste in pedals lol.
Great demo!! I so love that you add the settings on the screen for the tones you’re using. Such a classy touch.
Ordered Mine from Silktone website! ❤

Love the riffs and tones 🤘

Good job man...
Good stuff.
Is the riff that starts at 5:18 from a song, or is it your own riff just for the demo?
I just threw it together for the demo, but it's a pretty common progression and prob sounds like a lot of other songs haha
Any good with an acoustic guitar?

Just out of curiosity, what is your favorite drive pedal? You make them all sound so good that it’s hard for me to pick my next one!

:-) i was torn between 1981 Drv, Protein and a Sick As till this pedal showed up
@@waynedoherty7758 never tried a Protein but big fan of the DRV and Sick As, can't go wrong with those either!
What amp are you using?
Dude, I've played hundreds of overdrives and they all sound the same. Just sayin
Welp then your decisions on that front are that much easier
