    This is amazing. I might try this diet for my quails. I only feed chicken starter feed, budgie seed and a few mealworms each day. I never tried them on grit or vegetables. Mind you they do well enough, as they are healthy and perfect feathers and coming up to 3 years old.

    I love how well you take care of your cute button quails! They’re very happy and healthy. It pains me to see pet owners mistreating their button quails, and I hope that I’ll be able to take care of my own again some day.

    Thank you, that was great! My one pet quail likes watermelon. I also mix mealworms in with a nut mixture & gamebird feed, along with wild bird & parrot seeds. I did not know they couldn't have tomatoes but he must've known because he wont eat them. I'm worried he's been eating a lot of chick grit. Should I take that out once in a while? I will hang weeds & grass with seeds upside down in his rabbit hutch today. Great idea! Thank you for sharing!!!

    hi i really like your videos and im learning loads from them. i need to make a new quail hutch for them will you give a video of your quail habitat so i can see what kinds of things you have provided for your birds? i have an old rabbit hutch with a lifting roof and a door and a wire door. wire door locked shut, roof blew off in a windstorm so now they are back inside my house in an indoor rabbit hutch. i want to make them a natural habitat for them outside. please show us a video?

    Hi , I'm egyptian
    I like your video so much because I did not found any information in Arabic about how to feed the quail ?
    Can I feed it sorghum or crushed corn ?

    • @MrAviary
      @MrAviary  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you mean sorghum the grass species, the answer is definitely yes. The love grass seeds. Also corn is a very nutrious food for al kind of birds buy not to much it can contain some toxic substance. The best is to buy corn made for birds this is tested for these toxins. Corn for humans still have some pesticides, boiling it can already remove lots of these toxins.

      @@user-ww9yd2ig1n Don't know this exact seed. What I can find is that it is very bulky seed. Which for such a small bird is not recommended, I think they wont eat it.

    Omg I give them tomato they love it too much

    • @MrAviary
      @MrAviary  6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Tomato is a very acidic fruit, too acidic for most birds. It is not very healthy for your birds but most often you don't see it immediatly. However, some individuals can be hyper-sensitive to the acid in tomatoes with dead as result. So I would suggest to stop feeding them tomato and replace it with other vegetables or fruits.
