Still nothing with 4GB ECC and 2 SATA Ports for RAID2 + 1 SSD M.2 for OS for about 50 Euro. Cheap NAS is what the people really need instead of the 10th toy project.

The good thing about Raspberry Pi is that not everyone in the world has an HDTV, ie ... you can connect to a very old TV. I see it for that part, surely raspberry over time will grow much more and bring us new hardware, I have a lot of faith to raspberry.

The 2 guys who introduce LattePanda..these are the funniest, one speaks Chinese Engrish..so u cannot understand what he says, & the other one stares at the camera like a psychopath, grandmother killer...I don t know where u found these two, but LattePanda will never sell unless u make a proper intro..BTW:jaguar board is a great presentation thumbs up.

great idea...I would be interested in mating this with hardware like samplers, retrofitted with your new chips, and then mate with existing PCs,running projects and processing power in parallel. Now I have no idea if this would work, yet it's been on my mind for a couple of years.I kept thinking, since we have the basics already, why do we keep changing the hardware, just adding small things, when we can keep the hardware as is,and go more open source to keep the capabilities wide open? For example..They make a sampler..USB port, yet the USB implementation is limited..why?...The last one i have, the case in partly empty,so it seems to me they could have placed another chip or 2 in,made some ports, and opened up what it can do..NO..Instead,we have to wait until someone takes a sampler, opens it up,and shoves something in their, like replace the floppy drives with a Jaz drive, yet then the Jaz drives are now harder to find,etc,etc...I'm not making any sense to myself because i do not know enough to provide solutions myself,so...

let me know please how that works out..Let me know if you have any tangible ideas..i have the Yamaha A4000,Lexicon jamMan,Roland MV8080,E-Mu E6400,and my favorite, the Ensoniq ASR10 rack.

4:24 I LOST it at that dood sitting down and messing with his hair like that.
Edit: Them guys at parallella know what's up. Unfortunate that they seem to not support linux (unless I misunderstood the "we'll open source all our stuff"). That's why linux is what it is today. Companies ARE limiting themselves with the whole "mind your own business" copyright crap.

I have the Pine 64 and I am just going to say this. It isn't good at all right now but I am going to wait because nothing is great when it comes out. There are so many issues right now like Android with their touch screen that they provide only works sometimes. But lets see if they stay on it and keep up with it and update it.

the only ones i would try besides the pi are the odroid and maybe the chip, dunno why any of the odroids didnt make the list
ive had the origonal pi the pi2 pi3 and the zero, the zero doesnt have built in wifi like the chip and the lack of usb ports kinda makes it crappy but it was only 5 bucks, the pi2 and pi3 are just great though and keep getting better with newer versions

I'm trying decide on a cheap board. it needs to be under $50, have wifi and easy to work with. I will go with the pi 3 if there's nothing else faster but if there's something faster that would be great.

No. Only the board is $15 when you want the cover add $2 and the shown the HDMI board (it's on top of the mainboard) add another $11.
Also it's NTFS and not PAL (That 'll be a problem in some areas) and like some others add a adapter / screen / Kboard / mouse etc.
It's also recommended to use a additionaly power usbhub there is only 1 connectionpoint. ;-)
My background knowledge / interest area:
I'm busy to plan a windturbine including local storage regulated by a small computer.

  • @johanherrera6413
    @johanherrera6413 8 ปีที่แล้ว

it seems that all X86 based AIO boards go for around 100 bucks... cool to have a fully X86 mini computer but still the price of the RPi is mindblowing (from 15 for the Zero to 35 for the Rpi3) i get why ARM kinda limited for some projects but spending 100 bucks on a DIY project? i mean is ok if your target is to develop a cool appliance for a data center or something like that.
i guess now i want all of those just to have a testdrive :D yay :)

Am I the only one laughing when they say "it can do 4000 4k screens at once and run games"? Intel atom can barely run two websites... Not to say it's not an achievement but this soooooo far from what those guys are claiming... I bought the HP laptop for like 350$ with n3710 chip so I can use in the car for excel, heroes 3 and web browsing... It only coped with the heroes part...
excel (large file) got it to overheat. Atom runs two websites the most... I bet with the limited resources of a single board it would take 12 min to get windows to start... I will wait for the improved versions in like 1-2 years...

hmmm.. I now suddenly feel I know the problem... Everyone buys an Iphone, n dont care about the work gone behind the chip, like the last infomercial, he said, he wants to make it open source, there is the problem, Apple and Microsoft did not go open source... We need to create a hype for a custom made phone. just like Google Project ARA. maybe then more people will take interest in these innovations. Well most of the world population, does not care about the backend. the coding behind the screens of their Phones... :P.. I loved the second last one PC plus mobile, now that was cool.

That's impossible. I'm positive its a typo for 4.5Ghz... a full sized cpu can barely break 5Ghz without melting (your cooling must be on point). Even with this claim, I'm even more unsure after reading the very next one that contradicts it; "low power consumption" seems a bit too unreal.

It can be real. It is not physical (physical frequencies for the used FPGA SoC series starts from 667MHz), but effective frequency, you can view that as a performance metric. It can perform like a 45GHz CPU on a PARTICULAR job, not on all of them at the same time. Reason to that is it incorporates FPGA, which means you can program your own CPU architecture that fits your needs. Programming hardware itself brings huge flexibility, more you focus on less variety of jobs, more performance that you will have. It is widely used option in industry as an IT solution.

It's not going to be running gta 5 at 60 fps, max settings, But it's about as powerful as a phone, so worth it definetly, But it's not going to work for things like gta, But it could probably do some decent things
