I mainly stalk/still hunt in NH. A grunt call is easily one of the most valuable pieces of equipment to me. I've had great success using it and don't find calling too much is detrimental. Deer are naturally curious and often times will come closer to investigate. You're right, you have to know when to use it. It's all about experience and learning from failure. Great channel!

What part of NH do you live in? Just moved to Stratford county 5 months ago. It’s truly a beautiful state!

The most organic meat you can get! Watch as many hunting videos and read some good books. Also try to find a local mentor to take you out.

Last November I fell asleep and must of been lightly snoring and or breathing loudly, I woke up to the sound of aggressive snort/weazing sounds. I repeated his sounds the best I could and after a few minutes a nice 4x4 stepped out from the brush 60 yds away. He`s hanging on my wall now. Go figure!

If you think the deer are stressed or on edge, you can do some turkey calls to relax the deer

Honestly I’m sick and tired of not getting a deer and I never call so I’m looking into calling this year

I know the feeling. Just have some patience, and put in the time scouting and you'll get one.

@@InformedOutdoors well sadly I only get to hunt 2 days out of the year and that’s on public land so I haven’t got a deer in a decade but I jus like being in the outdoors

Do you use estrus bleats or just a regular doe bleat?
