I'm late for the video but... when I was studying Swedish in university, our teacher taught us some songs to celebrate Saint Lucia and organized a little Swedish banquet (no surströmming, if I spelt it correctly...). She wanted one of the girl to wear this simple white drape so we could have her own Saint Lucia but we were all too shy... so a metalhead with long blond hair volunteered and we had Saint Luc :D we strolled a bit around the classes, with candles and singing in Swedish because sharing the banquet with anyone interested. It was so much fun ! Our teacher was truly a woman who loved what she was doing and wanted us to experience the tradition and not just learn the language. I think I remember mentioning she made kanelbullar for us for National Day !
Oh I love that! Our teachers had a similar attitude when I studied Chinese at Uni (which is why I still do some culturally Chinese things - like right now my home is in full Chinese New Year decoré). I was thinking of getting one of every type of costume for Lucia next year and have our own little Luciatåg here on the channel featuring me, myself and I. You might get some flashbacks haha :D
