there is all sorts of times they do this, where Amir says something and Jake spouts it back later. like in road trip part 2 Amir sings after 1 shot of tequila "speaking of pipes i'm highhhh" and Jake uses the same verse in his song in rap teacher 3. its one of those small things that pops up time and time again in the series that makes it so beautiful.
It's so good to see them back at it. My only notes would be that a lot of the acting feels almost like an episode of J&A watch J&A or their podcast, like they're not fully committed to their characters in a way. I guess the laughter throughout kinda contributes to that. Great episode regardless
it'd be cool if they explained in an episode why they're working together again, feel like the context of them being coworkers added that much more to it
Hard to make an over arching story again when they dont have a full cast other subplots lined up like side characters. Rn they're just riffing with each other and it's great! Finding their footing. I imagine itll get even better when they hit stride.
OK, so these 3 new episodes basically had everything I ever wanted, including insecure Jake. Now the only thing that's missing is a cast of side characters in the office and this will be a complete and successful ressurection of one of the best - if not THE best - comedy series on YT.
I'm honestly curious if they were allowed to bring it back because college humour tanked. I assume they either had to wait long enough for the rights to it or they were able to buy it back cheap.

As for buying the rights, I think they mentioned it was quite amicable. It's not like CH could do more episodes of Jake and Amir without Jake and Amir, so they weren't going anywhere with that IP.
The Jake and Amir comedic outline is absolute gold, like the patterns of jokes they use are the funniest things I've ever heard, it makes it so much funnier to me that I'm able to finish their sentences with them. Hahaha nothing can eclipse my love for Jake and Amir 😹

Jake, of course, fearing his situation, throws it out the window, lands in Eater Piefell in the mouth. Rick screams in agony and charges at Eater Piefell. Credits.
J&A are always great! The last episode didn't "do it" for me partly just because it's different (and I'm different) but this definitely "feels" more like how it used to feel, and I'm excited to see where this series goes! Seems like they're kind of getting back into the groove! :)
I feel like this is more HeadGum Jake and Amir performance, than characters from "Jake and Amir". I'm not sure what I think about this, they are still providing golden lines, but this smiles throughout like i'm watching outtakes doesn't feel like real "Jake" and "Amir". It's like watching "Jake" and "Amir" that knows they're part of web series and it is like they're breaking fourth wall. I think this bothers me.
