Today we're gonna be reviewing the second installment of the Event Horizon series, which is Event Horizon: Frontier. It is a 2D, top-down, space, arcade, shooter game, that is actually quite similar to the first game. So sit back, relax, and grab something to put in your mouth, preferably something edible, and enjoy the video!

Oh thank lord, I am literally in urge for some nice isometric shooter game that doesn't just focus on gun blazing, but also some strategy and a bit of RPG content
3:08 I think why Event Horizon Frontier have less content than the RPG installment is because EHF tends to be played like an old school space shoot em up which question why it have less content with the addition of building your own ship and shooting more hordes of ship, like 200 enemy of ships or more
EH:RPG seems to be more tactical and wants the player to explore more
Exactly, both games are Arcade RPGs, but for the regular EH - it focuses more on the RPG aspect, while in EHF - it focuses more on the Arcade aspect.

Imagine fighting a chrysalis with a railgun, worse if it's a heavy railgun, thankfully the ships can't expand their slots and can't equip railguns.

plzz some tips and tricks😢 i need tips for the 10.5 level
Try to grind levels by going into survival battle, survival will give you lots of loot and stuff even if you lose, I actually picked the survival with Thor ships cause of the loot and not hard difficulty but it depends whether you just started there or your almost gonnah make it just farm a lot is my only advice in EHF.

Thankfully for me Chrysalis fight was easy because at this point my ship already had max speed and turn rate (20)
Yeah, *you* can't catch it, but me? I got a fewther slime with absurd dps and 2 clones, so no ship can out run me

If and when it got modding support like the first game you bet everything is going to go downhill slower than your GPU in vanilla
For frigates and destroyers, focus on speed and medium damage + fast reload.
Cruisers and battleships, focus on high damage and speed
For capital ships, focus on high high damage or terribly many drones.
And btw, if you want to defeat chrysalis, you must get aways from it first. It will come close to you. Or don't defeat it at all, it's a fuckin useless ship.
Actually in arena battles you can use chrysalis or the embryo as a distraction while you destroy the enemy starbase. Not saying it's useful but it does have at least some purpose. (Btw get yourself a 2x4 projectile weapon slot an put a heavy railgun you go very fast).
@@Paul3D nope, it would just be obliterated by death Ray or any Ray/ranged weapons. Choose better frigates such as slime or leech. C-weapons equipped frigates except slime are useless on later levels and strong arenas.

Edit: oh and also a faster way to kill it is to attack it fast enough before it loads up it's railgun and go very fast.
@@Paul3D yeap, I haven't misunderstood anything bro. What I mean is it's useless to use as a distraction because death Ray equipped ships can kill them in less that one second. I think ur the one who misinterpreted what I said bro

Yes, it was one of the best games I played in my childhood, sad to see it slowly become a pay-to-win garbage, what a bitter end to a legendary game.
@@ismollcheeken they actually fixed the games pay to win problem again its not really pay to win anymore and I play it more often now. (the game is a little pay to win but they made it so you can transform items from commons into rares and some items can even be transformed into legendaries)
@@hellogello7277 For new players, it may not be a problem, but for veterans like me, we've all seen the really bad sh!t they did.
I've been playing since 2012, slogged my way through the ranks and worked hard for years to get Legendary and Mythical parts, then suddenly, out of fcking nowhere, they decided to make all items obsolete. The update dropped in 2017 - with new more powerful items, it made ALL pre-update items become "Legacy items", legacy items are significantly weaker than the new items so they needed to be replaced immediately. This was bad sh!t for 'free-to-play' players like me, our mechs that we worked hard for years suddenly had to be replaced, worst part is that you have to go back to using common/rare items since the in-game shop only offers common/rare item boxes in exchange for gold. This is effectively the same as starting over again. And all 'free-to-play' players including me, would now lose their high PvP ranks (or couldn't even fight in PvP) since all of our mechs has suddenly become sh!t. Worst part, is that on later years, they went ahead and removed the in-game shop, the only thing that all 'free-to-play' players are relying on to get new items. It's just a huge kick in the balls and at that point, I've had enough with the game.
For new players, it's not a problem, all they would see is Super Mechs ruining its veteran players. But for us, it's a direct 'fck you' in our face.

tip for killing chrysalis: run from it, turn around and shoot it. it has speed but it cant stop on a dime.
That does work tho that is very slow, you have to wait since chrysalis doesn't use it's God awful recoil it instead moves using it's acceleration points which you know has bad acceleration, this tip I'm giving you doesn't make sense in EH rpg but for EH frontier it's a big issue since if you waste a second the enemy will attack forward so the tip I'm giving you is attack chrysalis only if all ships that aren't hit and run are destroyed so that the starbase won't get attacked alot.

game was recently updated, now when you die/lose a level, you can watch an ad to continue. also can watch ads to gain stars.

Nah I think 17-1 is harder due to the amount of random enemies. I got a thor, harbour, syberia, jormungandr, and crimson chronos

Also to beat chrysalis just get a slime with like a million inertial dampers

You can, the Battleship class by doing the Wormship Daily Mission, there's a chance that the blueprint will drop. For the Capital class, you have to reach level 200-1 and defeat it in a duel.

The previous update is the best but however i do not like the jugrans buff now oblivions are more powerful than ever and zonbies and oblivions have infinity stones making it almost the deadliest faction same goes to veniri it has a 2nd battle ship called the priest which has a very huge weapon slots making it very desdly to starters so yeah i do not like how parasite launchers are ridiculously fast and you cannot escape even when you have 20.0 velocity.

I think no, most mods just feature new ships, modules, factions, etc. It's basically the same game - only reskinned, I already made two reviews regarding both games and making a third one would just make it look like I'm milking the game.

Colored modules have modifiers, those are randomly obtained. In EH: RPG, you can craft them if you choose 'superior quality' when crafting modules.

@@marcelohcs9344 I'm confused, do you mean purple and gold items? Like items with +100% damage or -25% energy cost? If so, then these items are just randomly dropped, you can also craft them by going to a base you captured > select 'Workshop' > then select "Create superior quality item", and you will randomly get a purple or gold quality item.
@@ismollcheeken I'm going to explain. To create items we need to search the items before with corresponding alien technology. in the research trees has blue and purple schemes. how do I search the purple

Yeah, that's one of the major drawbacks of EH:RPG going open source. The servers for the game no longer have a reason to stay active.
@@ismollcheeken I was talking about the EH: Frontier server but they are similar but yeah the only reason I go online is to get mk 2 starbase but thankfully I did, I just didn't get Velez I only have 25 orange thingy and I need 1k orange thingy.
@@Paul3D the server host for both games are the same, hosting a server costs a lot of money, and the dev doesn't earn any money from his games + EH: RPG just got open sourced, so it doesn't make much sense to keep the servers running. So rip.
@@ismollcheeken It's very sad that I can't get Velez and golden modules that reset daily but I understand, if they were to keep their server running they have to:
A.Put annoying ads
B.Make it pay to win
C.Make downloading the game not free
D.Shut down the servers
No wonder why I'm not playing with people real time (I'm playing with real accounts, but the bots control the ships) it's very sad but understandable😔.

Yeah, it now deals 1/5th of its original DPS, it got nerfed so much that it's no longer a viable weapon at all.

Actually you can get Wormship at and between Level 9 Daily Mission, if I'm not wrong
The thing is it's just really hard to defeat at mid level
Editted: The Daily Mission with Wormship is only some kind of exercise to sharpen our skill in EH
@@TypeKK there's a different capital class wormship, you're talking about the battleship class. Also, nice that you got it that early, most players sh!t themselves trying to get it at the wormship daily mission lmao - yes, it only has a small chance to be obtained by finishing that wormship daily mission
