This is a good video. You can tell they know their products. My old Vapor skates lasted 10 years so I’m thinking about splurging this time. I play a lot.
Thank you! That's great they lasted 10 years. If you play a lot, the X4 or X5 Pro would be good options! Please reach out if you have any questions 866-787-3462 or customerservice@purehockey.com
In regard to weight, the X3 and X4 will be very similar. The X5 Pro will feel the lightest, but not a crazy difference. The key to the skate will be the materials/technology used. If you play a lot and need support, we recommend the X4 or X5 Pro. If you are more of an occasional player, and want to stay within a certain price point, the X3 is not a bad option!
My LE MX3's finally gave out on me last week (holder ripped right out of the boot, bought in Feb 2015) and I need new skates asap but I can't spend 1000 dollars again. Would these be a good replacement? I mainly care about weight, height from the ice and fit so would these be comparable to my MX3's? I'm a fast power skater and I play 2-3 games a week in higher level beer league.
These would be a good option but the fit/feel will be different from what you had. I would suggest trying on a Vapor to see how you like it because there are some differences; the heel will be a little more narrow in the Vapor than the Supreme.
I'm a beginner, but I really interested in hockey. Which one will you recommend between M1, X, M3, and X3? My feet are flat & I always get sores below my inner ankles when I use rental skates.
As a beginner, the M1 is a good option. It has some good features and would provide comfort for someone just starting out. They can also be heat molded, which should provide a lot more comfort than rental skates. If you are close to one of our stores, it would be good to go get sized and try on a couple of models/product lines to see what you like best.
When will you be uploading the vapor X3 skates breakdown video? I'm interested in buying the X3 skates and i did some research about it, but i still dont know enough about that model so I've been waiting for a breakdown video for quite a long time😅😅
Hopefully soon! The biggest difference between the skates will be the stiffness and materials used. The X4 uses CURV Composite in the boot, which is a big upgrade for this model. The X3 uses Digi Comp, which makes the boot softer. The X4 will also have an upgraded liner and runner. If you are someone who skates occasionally, the X3 is a good option but if you're skating a few times a month in more competitive hockey I would suggest moving up to the X4.
Hi! We'd love to help, but have a few questions to help us better answer you. - Are you in skates right now? If so, which ones? - How many times do you skate a week?, - What level of are you playing? for fun recreationally, competitive adult leages, monthly tournaments?
Vapor skates are designed for speed and agility, while the Supreme skates are designed for power and stability. There isn't a specific skate based on position. They are more geared towards the type of player and personal preference.
Really?? I thought they'd be really stiff like around 170ish and up. When I gave them a squeeze at the store, they felt like they were much stiffer than my jetspeeds at 160.

Thanks for the video. Would have preferred a bit more "head to head" comparison with the 3X to clearly see the differences. Good video nonetheless.
The 2X Pro model from 2019 will be closer to the current X5 Pro as far as construction and performance, so if we were choosing between that and the X4 we would go with the 2X Pro model. However, fit and skill level do come into play when buying skates. If you are able to we recommend visiting a store to get fit. Thanks!
The X3 skate is the lowest price point in the 2023 Vapor line, while the X3.7 is the second lowest price point in the 2021 Vapor skate line. They have some similar features but a big difference between the X3.7 and the X3 will be the stiffness of the boot. X3.7 will be a little stiffer and recommended for players who skate occasionally, while the X3 is more for new-to-hockey players.
The Bauer Vapor 2X is a higher model skate, so has a few more upgraded features. It will have a stiffer boot, upgraded liner, more foam inside, and more protection in the tongue.
Did you mean the Vapor X3? We are hoping to get a review up for that but if you have specific questions you can reach out to customer service (866-787-3462, or if you wanted to read more about the line please check out our 2023 Bauer Vapor Skates Blog - www.purehockey.com/c/new-bauer-vapor-skates.
The Vapor X4 and Velocity are very similar. The Velocity is an exclusive skate to certain retailers. The boot is constructed with 3D lasted flex composite, while the X4 features 3D lasted Curv Composite making the boot a little stiffer. The runner on the X4 is also upgraded with the LS Pulse compared to the LS+.
The 3X Pro is a higher price point skate but Bauer included some of those higher end technologies in the X4. The biggest upgrade is the 3D Lasted Curve Composite quarter package. The outsole and liner will be slightly different as well. Both are great skates depending on what you're looking to spend.
3X Pro skate is the second price point skate from 2021. The replacement of that skate is the new X5 Pro. The Vapor X4 skate is the 3rd price point skate. Hope you like the 3X Pro! It's a great skate.
The X5 Pro skate will have a little more padding around the ankles, with a stiffer boot to give you more support. This will make these skates a little more comfortable but depending on how much you play, the X4 wouldn't be a bad option.

Would you mind doing a review on the $299 X3? Very interested in the total weight in grams on X3 vs X4 and X5. Light weight is my absolute priority.

@@purehockey I see, thank you for the information 😊
Which skates would you recommend? The X3 or X4? Considering the price difference (approx $200), is there much of a difference for the average joes?
Hi! We'd love to help, but have a few questions to help us better answer you.

In ccm 570 tacks
Skate 2-4 times a week
Playing first year pewee AA
I’ve been playing a while
Wondering what ones I should get
as I am a defenceman, do you recommend this skate? is it appropriate? do you recommend supreme or vapor line?
Vapor skates are designed for speed and agility, while the Supreme skates are designed for power and stability. There isn't a specific skate based on position. They are more geared towards the type of player and personal preference.
I would look for a skate that DOES not have a foward lean. Flat feel is best for d men.
Bob, what’s the stiffness rating on these?
The stiffness rating of the Vapor X$ skate is around 155-160.
The biggest differences will be the stiffness of the boot, what the boot is made of, the runner. Thanks for watching the video!

Can you tell me the difference between the Vapor X3.7 from S21 and the Vapor X3 that just released?

Is this almost the same as vapor velocity skate or what is the difference?
The Vapor X4 and Velocity are very similar. The Velocity is an exclusive skate to certain retailers. The outsole and liner will be slightly different as well. Both are great skates depending on what you're looking to spend.
@@purehockeywhich one is better though. Should I buy 3x pro or 4x because there is a sale and they are basically the same price.
Are they red or orange because online there red but in the video there orange?
The slightly orange color may come from the green screen when shooting the video, but the pop of color on these skates is red.
Boot material M4 and X4 same level? Their weight is the same?
Yes these 2 models would be comparable. Similar materials and weight, just different performance aspects.
@@purehockey Thank you. What is the difference between Curv Composite (X4) and 3D Lasted Flex Composite (M4)?
aw man. i just bought 3x pros.
3x pros are better lol
@@HYP3DSNIP3R i’m so glad to hear that

Whats more comfortable the x5 or x4?
The X5 Pro skate will have a little more padding around the ankles, with a stiffer boot to give you more support. This will make these skates a little more comfortable but depending on how much you play, the X4 wouldn't be a bad option.
