What app do u use to record yourself reading a book! I would like to record books in my voice to listen to it again later ( personal use) but I am looking for an app to use where i can edit easily
Hi, Sir. Where could I find some good musical and sound effects for my audiobooks? I haven't found any website that meets my purposes so far. And do you explain how can you work with music and sfx properly in your paid courses? Thank you in advanced!
I already have the audio files done. What I need is to figure out how to make a single file with chapters in it of all the audio files so I can sell it as a digital audiobook on my website. I cannot find this information anywhere! How can I make a file that will have chapters in it so it can be downloaded from my website without the customer having to download each chapter?
I can tell you how I have done it so far. The easiest way (that I have found) would be to convert them into a video format (by either editing the files into such, or by pairing it with a pre existing video) and to put it into a video editor, and to clip all of them together (the one I use is Xsplit Video Editor, but I'm pretty certain they discontinued the product). Once they are all together, you can switch it back to an MP4 file if you wish for audio only, or keep it as a video if you plan to have the pages in the backdrop. I'm certain there are other, easier ways, but that has been the method that I had come up with when I first grasped an interest in recording audio books.
I ended up hiring a sound engineer to put the thing together. The narrator kept sending me files. They were a mess and then the sound guy had to even it out and put it on ACX. One thing I will tell you to is to pay attention to the intro-outro clips. They are very specific as to what they want.

Very interesting presentation. Just wondering wouldn't AI voices or other speech software be more feasible than hiring multiple narrators? What are the advantages and disadvantages of using the same?
That is what I was thinking but the best voices I have found so far are on Speechify which is like $30 a month which is crazy imo. I also use Readaloud extension and it's okay and many voices to choose from. I have found like the Google standard voices the best so far.
@@brianSalem541 You'll be surprised. There are already voice-overs that can be "given" different emotions, in addition to setting the pace/speed and it's very close, if not the same as humans. Of course, a human needs to be in charge of generating this. It is not like automated voices that used to read scripts in a robotic fashion (like how it was a few years ago).
Unfortunately on Audible if they catch you using AI they are likely to pull the book down and repeat offenders can have their account closed down. Be very careful using any kind of AI on the audio side.
@@jeffkikel7910 Noted and thanks for alerting about Audible but these are not your average AI voices that you may be thinking of. In fact, I am not sure whether to categorise this as AI (maybe a form of generative AI). It is in fact, existing human voice-overs that are processed to read the scripts with emotions and tones. There is a lot of labour and creativity that goes into doing this. The reason for doing it in this way is that it is not always feasible to do take the traditional route because of cost, availability, limitation of time, resources, etc.
Yes, and wait 5 days until amazon kindle is blocking you for your whole life for unknown reason 😄 at amazon you never know when you cross the wrong line 👏👏👏
Yes, they are the worst. Once you become an author, they block you from accessing your account and you can never get a hold of anyone to fix the problem. Whatever you do, make sure it is not amazon!! And do not get me started on the formatting issues. It is a trick, "free " when in fact they will not accept your perfectly formatted book and want you to use one of their paid services to reformat at a huge cost.
Adverts don't provide information on how to do something, this video informs viewers on the 5 steps they need to take to make an audiobook. If the viewer feels that they would like further in-depth step-by-step training then that is optional.
As a complete beginner to the world of Audiobooks, though I listen to random TH-cam videos as Audiobooks with my phone in my pocket for many many hours, I found this video incredibly helpful!! Clicking this far exceeded what I was hoping to get out of a video and I feel lucky. It taught me of, or exposed me to many things I had not thought of before. I subscribed dude, what I would like to see next would be how to find a popular area of content to transcribe into an audiobook. I know that sounds too simple and easy like I'm expecting you to give me a Million Dollar Idea for free lol, no I don't mean that! But what is your thought process when you start something like this? In particular there is an audio book I have listened to many times recently, all on TH-cam. *Darren Shan's Demonata series.* I read this book when I was young and now listening to it as own of my very first audiobooks I ever listened to I was straight away hooked onto audiobooks. But there's 10 books, so 10 videos on TH-cam. The actual voice actors only recorded the first 6 out of the 10. The last 4 were left uncomplete for many years, but now someone has gratefully done a Fan recording. I don't mind it but it's got mixed reviews, I would like to do my first audiobook attempt as doing my own version of filling in these last 4 books. Not trying to make them identical to the first 6 because that's impossible but finding a few enjoyable matching voices as voice actors I pay and doing the last 4 books. It's not my book right, I want to make this just for fun to complete something just for fun that I really like and post it on TH-cam. Do I need to be afraid of like Copyright? Can I make any money off the audiobook and if I do anyways, can I be like sued... As you can see I'm a bit new to this whole side of the world, but thank you for reading. I hope you will not turn back now, without having left an reply and answer... 🐉
Have you published any audiobooks yet? If so show all the checks you got from them and how much money you made. Lot of scammers on youtube right now are you one of them
Step one, have enormous talent. Step two, nothing else matters
Sometimes you make a video that I'm not specifically interested in seeing, but I open just to hear you 🤣👌, great content btw!
Step 1. Have a voice like Peter Baker.😉👍
I’m definitely enjoying your video! Thank you for supplying this info.
Thanks for the great video. I checked out your course on Udemy. Well done, thank you.
hey :) If I record myself reading a book that is not mine and upload that to youtube, does that count as copyright infringement ?
Yes.

One thing AI can't do (yet) is speak with human-sounding emotion.

@@OpentoTruth11 what's your favourite alternative?
I want to hear him say Thriller...
First time i ever heard your voice was with the character call Orville Elephant from Five Night At Freddy's Ultimate Custom Night
And your act as Orville was what he would say " MAGIC "
thank you so much!!!!
Question please.. Can I create audio books of other authors books and post them on my youtube channel? Or is it illegal
If you don't have the rights to the book in writing (from negotiations with the publisher, or whoever holds the rights), no you can't do that.
v good video
This isn’t a how-to video!! It is a class advert!!!
