I wish more Muslims would give dawah to people in the countryside instead of constantly doing it in city centres. I am not here to criticise Muslims who do this. But I feel as though we have a golden opportunity here and we are wasting it. I was speaking to a few farmers yesterday, now bear in mind I live in a small town near the Lake District. It can be very cold during the winter time. And these farmers have never seen or interacted with a Muslim before. The community is very close and tight knit. I am a country boy at heart. This is just one example. I think we need to get out of our comfort zones in the cities and get out there. I don't know maybe you all agree or disagree. But it is something I have been thinking about. Especially as Christianity is declining.
You come in contact with more people in the city Centre so it's probably best that way. They don't go to random people and give dawah, they place a stall and people come to them to talk. The most populous areas, for that reason would probably be best.

Doing it in the countryside could actually be more effective. Imagine putting a dawah booth in the middle of a village. All the locals will be shocked and come to investigate. Doing it in a busy city centre won't be as effective as their minds are elsewhere
You have a fair point, and this should be done. But this requires a lot of care and tact. The rural populace are likely to be much more wary and suspicious of "non-British" who have come to "change their country and way of life."

I would like to share my views and perhaps my journey. I was born and bred a London boy in a culturally Christian family with an ambivalence towards the church. I'm almost 70 so I could be seen as a stereo type of the haters. Well I was always had an innate belief in God and so naturally and culturally followed it through Christian faith. It is very easy to simply belief church creed and Doctrine but I could never come to terms with it,also so much of church Doctrine is based on Paul and not Jesus. The other problem for me is this, what did Jesus actually do and say, there is no doubt that the gospels have been embellished by there anonymous Greek authors and were written towards the end of the first century. Look at Matthew 24 and Luke 13, Jesus predicts the destruction of Jerusalem in AD70, however the gospels were not written till afterwards, so was it a prediction? So Muslims came to the West, of different ethnicity culture and religion,this will always be seen as a threat simply because people feel comfortable in there own culture. It's no different than the Brits going to live in Spain and try to make it England. Christianity has been in decline since the birth of modern science or the belief in material reductionism. The exponential fall took place after WW2 when people started spending, buying cars and the TV. Back to me then, well I truly wanted my faith in Christianity to see tangible evidence but the believe in miracles never happened and now don't go to church however I still believe in the divine. Islam doesn't try to define what Allah is, it doesn't try to personify God, it simply says Allah is one, the eternal refuge, wasn't born and has no off spring and nothing compares with Allah, this is what Sura 112 Al Iklas says. Science comes to a grinding halt at the big bang, science's can't explain consciousness. Science states that energy and matter are interchangeable and quantum mechanics believes that all physical particles ie protons ,neutrons and electrons are energy vibrations. My own belief is Allah is divine all knowing energy and that our consciousness is divine energy implanted in a physical body. We simply want to know Allah because our bodies are simply the prison of of our consciousness and we want to return to the divine. I believe spiritual Islam is just that. Some people have amazing encounters with near death experience and see a place where time and space do not exist simply because they are experience a taste of eternity. It begs the question did the prophets confrontation with Gabriel show him this eternal consciousness. Regardless of Christianity I think there is a spiritual void that most people don't realise, some try filling it with consumerism sex, drugs etc. It is very interesting that so many women in their 20s give up this hedonistic life style and search for deeper spiritual meaning in Islam. It's a big step especially for a woman to say no to hedonism and symbolically shut it out by keeping them selves in hijab. There is a very deep spiritual hunger and it always gets filled either by substitute means such as consumerism or by finding a spiritual way home to Allah All praise to Allah creator of the world's, that is the physical realm and the spiritual realm.

That's what people don't seem to realize is that the overexaggerated hatred towards Islam (Christians, Hindus, Exmuslims, media and politics etc) constantly pumped out, over time only goes to cause people to actually explore it which results in a lot of converts.
I think to draw accurate conclusions you would need to have a breakdown in where the decline in Christianity is taking place. For example if there were a loss of say, 5 million Anglicans but a gain of 2 million Pentecostals, the net Christian loss is 3 million but Pentecostals are a rapidly growing movement while Anglicanism is shrinking so it is entirely possible that the Pentecostals might eventually grow at such a pace as to make Christianity a growing Faith once again. My point is that predicting the future is always difficult. I would also add the American writer, Mark Twain’s, famous comment that there are “lies, damned lies, and statistics. “ My own thought is that theists in general are going to have an increasingly difficult with secularism and I pray that we win that struggle. Ironically, a society divorced from God will eventually degrade humanity in its so called attempt to improve it.

Do not allow yourself to be lazily misled and indoctrinated by disingenuous and dishonest dawah practitioners who will impart a profoundly subjective Islamic narrative. I suspect that the majority of those who have already converted have not followed the above advice and, therefore, do not have an accurate or objective knowledge of Islamic doctrine. Beware of Dawah practitioners, as they will certainly not tell you that the Islamic prescribed penalty for those who do convert but then change their mind and renounce the religion is DEATH.
As Muslim, I recommend his suggestions to read the Quran, hadith and interpretations. But do seeks the people of knowledge who dedicated their life to learn the deen and have knowledge from their previous scholar who might have a direct link of knowledge to the prophet.

Surely the rise in those following Islam is due to some basic factors. Islamic families tend to have significantly more children than non Islamic families, and the number of refugees and illegal immigrants entering the UK are of the Islamic faith. I do think however that people, when trying to draw similarities between Christianity and Islam, should note the rather striking difference between the way Jesus Christ and the Prophet Mohammed went about spreading their belief's and their message. Correct me if you think I am wrong, but I thought Jesus spoke of love and tried to convert people by his words. Whereas I understand that the Prophet Mohammed raised an army to spread his message ? I wish more Muslims would give dawah to people in the countryside instead of constantly doing it in city centres. I am not here to criticise Muslims who do this. But I feel as though we have a golden opportunity here and we are wasting it. I was speaking to a few farmers yesterday, now bear in mind I live in a small town near the Lake District. It can be very cold during the winter time. And these farmers have never seen or interacted with a Muslim before. The community is very close and tight knit. I am a country boy at heart. This is just one example. I think we need to get out of our comfort zones in the cities and get out there. I don't know maybe you all agree or disagree. But it is something I have been thinking about. Especially as Christianity is declining.
You come in contact with more people in the city Centre so it's probably best that way. They don't go to random people and give dawah, they place a stall and people come to them to talk. The most populous areas, for that reason would probably be best.

You are correct. Muslims have to preach everywhere in Europe.
Doing it in the countryside could actually be more effective. Imagine putting a dawah booth in the middle of a village. All the locals will be shocked and come to investigate. Doing it in a busy city centre won't be as effective as their minds are elsewhere

I would like to share my views and perhaps my journey.
I was born and bred a London boy in a culturally Christian family with an ambivalence towards the church.
I'm almost 70 so I could be seen as a stereo type of the haters.
Well I was always had an innate belief in God and so naturally and culturally followed it through Christian faith.
It is very easy to simply belief church creed and Doctrine but I could never come to terms with it,also so much of church Doctrine is based on Paul and not Jesus.
The other problem for me is this, what did Jesus actually do and say, there is no doubt that the gospels have been embellished by there anonymous Greek authors and were written towards the end of the first century.
Look at Matthew 24 and Luke 13, Jesus predicts the destruction of Jerusalem in AD70, however the gospels were not written till afterwards, so was it a prediction?
So Muslims came to the West, of different ethnicity culture and religion,this will always be seen as a threat simply because people feel comfortable in there own culture.
It's no different than the Brits going to live in Spain and try to make it England.
Christianity has been in decline since the birth of modern science or the belief in material reductionism.
The exponential fall took place after WW2 when people started spending, buying cars and the TV.
Back to me then, well I truly wanted my faith in Christianity to see tangible evidence but the believe in miracles never happened and now don't go to church however I still believe in the divine.
Islam doesn't try to define what Allah is, it doesn't try to personify God, it simply says Allah is one, the eternal refuge, wasn't born and has no off spring and nothing compares with Allah, this is what Sura 112 Al Iklas says.
Science comes to a grinding halt at the big bang, science's can't explain consciousness.
Science states that energy and matter are interchangeable and quantum mechanics believes that all physical particles ie protons ,neutrons and electrons are energy vibrations.
My own belief is Allah is divine all knowing energy and that our consciousness is divine energy implanted in a physical body.
We simply want to know Allah because our bodies are simply the prison of of our consciousness and we want to return to the divine.
I believe spiritual Islam is just that.
Some people have amazing encounters with near death experience and see a place where time and space do not exist simply because they are experience a taste of eternity.
It begs the question did the prophets confrontation with Gabriel show him this eternal consciousness.
Regardless of Christianity I think there is a spiritual void that most people don't realise, some try filling it with consumerism sex, drugs etc.
It is very interesting that so many women in their 20s give up this hedonistic life style and search for deeper spiritual meaning in Islam.
It's a big step especially for a woman to say no to hedonism and symbolically shut it out by keeping them selves in hijab.
There is a very deep spiritual hunger and it always gets filled either by substitute means such as consumerism or by finding a spiritual way home to Allah

I think to draw accurate conclusions you would need to have a breakdown in where the decline in Christianity is taking place. For example if there were a loss of say, 5 million Anglicans but a gain of 2 million Pentecostals, the net Christian loss is 3 million but Pentecostals are a rapidly growing movement while Anglicanism is shrinking so it is entirely possible that the Pentecostals might eventually grow at such a pace as to make Christianity a growing Faith once again. My point is that predicting the future is always difficult. I would also add the American writer, Mark Twain’s, famous comment that there are “lies, damned lies, and statistics. “ My own thought is that theists in general are going to have an increasingly difficult with secularism and I pray that we win that struggle. Ironically, a society divorced from God will eventually degrade humanity in its so called attempt to improve it.

Surely the rise in those following Islam is due to some basic factors. Islamic families tend to have significantly more children than non Islamic families, and the number of refugees and illegal immigrants entering the UK are of the Islamic faith. Allah Almighty told us in Quran that Islam would spread and prevail over all religions 1440 years ago.
Also, the Messenger of Allah Muhammad, peace be upon him, told us about this through authentic hadiths:
(He it is Who sent His Messenger (Muhammad SAW) with the True Guidance and the Religion of Truth (Islam) that He may make it prevail over every religion. Sufficient is Allah as a witness). [Quran 48:28].
(They intend to put out the Light of Allah (i.e. the religion of Islam, this Quran, and Prophet Muhammad SAW) with their mouths. But Allah will complete His Light even though the disbelievers hate it. He it is Who has sent His Messenger (Muhammad SAW) with guidance and the religion of truth (Islamic Monotheism) to make it victorious over all (other) religions even though the Mushrikun (polytheists, pagans, idolaters, and disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah and in His Messenger Muhammed SAW) hate it). [Quran 61:8-9].
(They want to extinguish the light of Allah with their mouths, but Allah refuses except to perfect His light, although the disbelievers dislike it. It is He who has sent His Messenger with guidance and the religion of truth to manifest it over all religion, although they who associate others with Allah dislike it). [Quran 9: 32-33].
Khabbab bin Al-Aratt (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
We complained to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) regarding the persecution inflicted upon us by the disbelievers while he was lying in the shade of the Ka'bah, having made a pillow of his cloak. We submitted: "Why do you not supplicate for our prevalence (over the opponents)?". He (ﷺ) replied, "Among those people before you, a man would be seized and held in a pit dug for him in the ground and he would be sawed into two halves from his head, and his flesh torn away from his bones with an iron comb; but, in spite of this, he would not wean away from his Faith. By Allah, Allah will bring this matter to its consummation until a rider will travel from San'a' to Hadramout fearing none except Allah, and except the wolf for his sheep, but you are in too much of a hurry" [Sahih al-Bukhari 3612]
