Thank you, Shirley! We've made such wonderful memories in our little camper! I just posted another video of our trip to David Crockett State Park, it's so pretty there! Video: th-cam.com/video/4WiZfCB407Q/w-d-xo.html
I really enjoyed your video as I get to see a more original setup than my hacked up Shasta. Lol. Nice choice of music and I like your mellow personalities. Thank you!
Thank You both for your cozy trailer. The older one's are the best they just have a warmer feeling to them. You both did a excellent job on your's... Wishing you both safe travel's be safe...Till next time!!!!👍🇺🇸
This vintage camper is so cute. I luv vintage, if u will, things, because they always seem 2 have more character than the nonsense they make these days. U guys did a fantastic job! I appreciate ur ingenuity! Great craftsmanship!
Thank you! We wanted to keep as much of the original design as we could while adding some updates to make it more liveable and stylish. We'll be doing a whole renovation video soon with even newer updates. Thank you for watching!
That's amazing! I'd love to see the final product. I also love that you go to the vintage camper rallys, we love them and have been to a few. Happy to swap tips and tricks if you ever need them!
Thank you so much! Oh wow, what a great find! Would love to see what you do with that. I actually just posted another video today on how we set up our campsite. I hope you like it :)
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE LOVE LOVE ❤️ your camper ... it feels like Home... I wonder how mines will turn out??? The differences between overly modern/done-up or the HOME Feeling with tons of character... i hope yall keep it the way it is ... it is its OWN!!! Also the vintage truck ... PERFECT!!! 👌🏾
You're so sweet, thank you so much! Best of luck on your renovation too, it's a labor of love for sure! Happy to help if you have any questions along the way :)
Hey! So Denton usually does this alone. We have a little step stool he uses, and slides the awning in a little bit at a time. Once he gets it halfway on, he can then grab the edge of it and pull it on the rest of the way. He then puts some steaks in the grout and puts the tent polls out and pulls it up with the tent poll string. Ha, hope that’s makes sense :)
Hey! Just wanted you to know that we filmed how we put up our awning step by step in our newest video : th-cam.com/video/4WiZfCB407Q/w-d-xo.html I made sure to include it this time around since you had asked about it. Hope that helps!
I am disappointed. I was hoping to see a restored camper…not renovated. When you eventually sell it it would be great if you sold it to someone who can restore it to its former glory. It looks great on the outside but on the inside it was clear that you could not decide whether or not you wanted to modernize it or keep it vintage. It would be great if you would do some research regarding the colors, patterns, and style of the era the trailer is was built in. It’s not that expensive to shop around at thrift stores or on eBay to get the decor correct. You could have bought a retro hot plate, and at least covered up the ugly modern refrigerator, or found a vintage one.
Hi Emma! Like the title said, we renovated , not restored the camper. When we bought her, she had already been updated, complete with the refrigerator, and without the original kitchen, bathroom, flooring etc. I would love to have an old stove in there! However, for us it's expensive -- and renovations quickly added up when we found lots of water damage. We did just get a retro style toaster oven for the camper, and we can't wait to use it! I appreciate the love for old things and keeping them original, and someday I hope we find one with lots of original details. It's the dream, right? We were really intentional with our decor, so no confusion there! We love the updates we did, while it's not for everyone, it suits us perfectly. Thank you for watching!
@@judycook4314 It’s nothing personal it’s just a difference in taste. When I see a vintage trailer I realize that it’s a piece of history and am taken back in time looking at the outside, of course I want to see what it looked like on the inside back then. Why are you buy a vintage rv only to make it look like 2022 on the inside? If you destroy history you don’t get it back.
OMG... You're such a cute couple. Thanks for sharing.
Great camping fun. Good job you two. Have many happy trips.

Nice camper. I'm redoing a tiny fiberglass camper. There's always things wrong that we didn't expect. Like you, I'm learning as I go.
That's amazing! I'd love to see the final product. I also love that you go to the vintage camper rallys, we love them and have been to a few. Happy to swap tips and tricks if you ever need them!

I have an awning similar to yours and can’t put it up alone. Any hints?

Joli !
Iron skillets are great for camping if you know how to cure them to not stick. Just saying.
We suuure do! We just used in our newest video I posted today. It cooks to perfection 👌🏼

If you food is sticking to those pans, you need to turn down the temp.
Agreed! It was a learning process with these second-hand finds and new burner. Now we have an induction burner we love!
@@LostandRemote I have induction burner too. Love it
Is this that rock island place?
It's not! It's in Benton, TN -- where I went white water rafting this summer!
