      Thank you for the feedback! I hope I didn't make the process seem more complex than it is. The initial switch to Orca with CV's additions can be made in 15-20 minutes tops you should be able to print your first test. Of course expect a few more hours fine tuning your filament settings for a perfect look. But this opens up all the Orca Slicer help videos and material, which are plenty.

      The fact that Orca talks directly to Mainsail, right in the app thanks to Christian Vick's upgrades, is what makes it beyond fantastic. I was carrying that little USB stick back and forth from the computer to the printer (it's in another room) and now, no more. Lots more screen space too on the Mainsail dashboard. Much detail about the printer.

I really tried everything (at least what I could think of) to get something printed via orca at least with mid speed but so chance. This sounds like a lot, but can literally be done in the 15-20 minutes I show you.Then expect to spend more time on fine-tuning the presets to your filaments for the perfect results. Great video! I switched to the Orca slicer thanks to you!

    • @gerGoPrint3D

      Just add a command like M220 S70 (sets speed to 70%) at the desired layer the same way as we add pause or filament change (see my M600 and magnetic chess set videos). Christian's "slow at height" macro is also worth a look, it can gradually slow over a set height so there won't be a sudden color (matteness) change in the print surface at abrupt speed changes. The "Slow at height" setting can even be enabled and adjusted during print, if you realize you want to slow down on the fly. For multi-model prints you can also control every possible filament or process settings just switch from "global" to "object" as shown in my magnetic chess set video.

    My only question for you is would you mind sharing what you changed in Christian's Process' to adapt them to the 0.6mm nozzle on the SV06 Plus? I essentially just took the line width values it had for the 0.4mm nozzle and scaled it directly for a 0.6mm nozzle but I'd love to see if you did any specific tuning for that or anything else you like to change.

    Hi. I just got a SV07+ a few days ago. I really appreciate the time you put into this tutorial and sharing orca with us. It made things very easy. I have one question though. When I turn on "Fan" through the dashboard the part fan connected to the extruder turns on and when I turn on "Extruder Partfan" the auxilary fan turns on. Is this normal? It seems backwards to me.
    Aux fan is currently set to off in variables and it stays off while printing. I'm pretty sure the extruder parts fan is working as it should. I'm just worried because they seem to be mislabeled somehow and I'm not sure if they're acting as they should. Thanks again.

      Thank you for the feedback! Most of my prints don't require top notch quality, so I usually print at 200mm/s just like in this test. I actually deleted the default mesh since I only wanted to use the adaptive one. Do I have to change in my printer config the bed config from "default" to "Adaptive" so the adaptive mesh is beeing used by my printer? Awesome video, very much appreciated as always!
    Ever since getting my Sv07+ I've run into issues with Z calibration of various types. After getting all of the additions added, I'm trying to do the "Mesh Create All Temperatures" and two times now it has failed. The first time was a probe out of range error when the extruder reached the far right side of the bed. The second time I changed the probe point distance from 37mm to 19mm and ran it with the bed at 60c instead of 20c and it managed to complete multiple rows back and forth until it reached the far back right of the plate, then it errored out with a "Move out of range" trying to go to 301.xxx-302 on one of the axis.
    I've tried changing the stepper_x and stepper_y position_max down to 300 from 302 thinking that it would solve my problem, but that hasn't fixed it either. It is still trying to move to 300+ when does the bed meshes. Any idea how to fix???

    • @QuestionReality83

      Changing my mesh_min to 17,15 and mesh_max to 278,280 fixed my problem. It appears the formula for the y-axis must be min+max+horizontal z move = 300. (15+280+5) I don't think that is the formula for the maximum on the x-axis though because I am not seeing any probe points past 278.00. No points further than 299.9 on the y-axis though, which is what was causing the error.@@gerGoPrint3D

    I do have a quick question if you have a moment. I noticed that whenever I start a new print, the printer will do the Z-Tilt probing before the print. Is this normal? And if not, any idea on how to get around it? I'm assuming it's something in the printer.cfg file, but not sure what and don't want to mess it up after getting it dialed in hah.
    It doesn't really affect anything, but just curious. Thanks!

    • @gerGoPrint3D

      Yes, it's normal. And I actually talk about this. On the SV06/Plus it is better to turn this off, since the automatic method is slow, loud and not accurate. But on the SV07/Plus it is desirable to sync the z-motors before the print, as they drift from each other as soon as the motors are unlocked. For the SV06/Plus I recommend watching my recent video on an alternative z-tilt method using a practical little Klipper macro I created.

    • @gerGoPrint3D

      Yes, SV06 with Sovol's own Klipper screen should work with these exact settings. Orca Slicer does work with the standard non-Klipperized SV06 also, but you will have to adjust Christian's presets slightly to add start g-code that marlin needs. You might be better off using the stock Orca SV06 presets then. If you have non-Sovol Klipper, this will also work, but you might need to talk to Christian (message him on Printables) since there could be a few differences.

    Happy weekend :) Just wondering, for the Sovol SV07+, what is the biggest nozzle you would use for fast prototyping? Sovol sent the variety pack of upgraded nozzles, yay, so it makes me wonder what size is best for prototypes that will have 2mm walls. Thank you! Looking at the presets in Orca. Under Printer settings -> Extruder there is a nozzle diameter field. Do any of the other things on that page (min/max layer heights, Z hop when retracting, etc) need to be changed for larger nozzle?

    • @gerGoPrint3D

      Nice! Since the SV07 is already plenty fast the bigger nozzles don't really increase speed as the bottle neck becomes the part cooling. But at the same speed we can get better strength with the bigger nozzles. How much bigger depends on the print. I found 0.6mm almost as detailed as the 0.4mm, while the 0.8, 1.0 nozzles could be useful for extra-large functional pieces. I also recommend the larger nozzles for PETG and flexibles.

Have I understood it right that its okay to use one of CV's SV07 processes with the SV06? - the only SV06 one in the list is for TPU. I'm using the Sovol Generic PLA setting, having checked that the flow speed is 15mms/sec. Now subscribed 😁

      Thank you for your kind support!!! And no, no, you should not use Orca's own SV06 presets, they are for the Marlin version. Download Christian's presets and use the one he made for the regular size SV07. The Klipperized SV06 has the same motion cababilities as the SV07, only its nozzle is not high flow, so just halve the volumetric speeds of his filament presets. At least that's how I understand, but we are all learning here!

    I found this video via reddit post in the sovol group. Can you advise me if the sv07 would be a good next printer for someone like me. I have 2x sv01s that I print PETG exclusively and have run for thousands of hours the past 3 years. They run .6 nozzles at .35 layer height and 40mm MAX on speed. That is 8.4mm volumetric flow. All I want to do it print faster. My print projects are getting bigger and more extensive and I am having MAJOR analysis paralysis. Bambu / creality klipper machine / prusa / klipperized sv06 or sv07, or just put a beefier hotend on my machines. Thank you in advance. Great content .

    • @gerGoPrint3D

      The problem with PETG, that max volumetric flow is limiting its printing speed, so you are not going to be able to gain that much speed with Klipper (maybe go up to 10-12 mm3/s), but some quality and convenience because of the remote connection and features of Klipper such as exclude object etc. PETG doesn't profit that much from the super strength cooling of the SV07 as PLA would. Still, the SV07 and SV07 Plus are great machines, and I print a lot of PETG with my SV07+, though I have the 0.6mm on my SV06+ machine.

      Sounds like you'd need to tune flow rate or pressure advance for your filament. I am going to do a video on the calibration tools built into Orca Slicer, but you can also research it for yourself. It could also just be curling at the edges? You can calibrate that with a temperature tower.It's a bit hard to tell from a distance just by description.
      Have you done any part coolig upgrades? The stock SV06/Plus doesn't have sufficient cooling for Klipper speeds, which Christian Vick's presets assume. I recommend at least a 5015 blower upgrade, until then I'd print at 30-40% of CV's speeds.

Remélem segít neked is!

    • @gerGoPrint3D

      There are if you use Christian Vick's presets (or do some research on your own, there are a few necessary lines to be added to your start g-code). But if you follow my guide to install CV's presets you will have thumbnails both in the Mainsail insterface and on the Klipper Screen itself. 3rd alternative: install Orca Slicer 2.0beta, it has the thumbnails fixed too, I think.

      @@JRChristensonNo problem :) I talk about a ton in this video ;) BTW the lines you need to include in the start g-code is this:
      ;### hack-fix to generate preview-images in Moonraker / fluidd / printer's display: Write fake slicer info here so that preprocess_cancellation can process. ###
      ; generated by SuperSlicer 1.5.0 on 2023-04-21 at 13:13:47
      Basically there is a bug in Makerbase Klipper screen that only works with this ancient slicer, so we need to trick it to think we are using it. CV's presets already contain these lines, and I've seen mentioned in Orca V2beta change log that they will now automatically add this line for you. I think Cura already does, that's why thumbnails work from Cura.

Klipper is shutting down and getting this message:Shutdown due to Klipper Printer Additions: Your printer configuration has not defined where to save variables. Nothing can work correctly without.
    If you have an SV07 with old firmware: Update the firmware (preferable), or copy this into your printer.cfg file:

    If you have another printer you probably need to adapt the path. It should be the same directory where your 'printer.cfg' file is located.
    Once the underlying issue is corrected, use the
