  • I am fast mowing with the Titan Attachments Flail Mower and the TYM T25 by TYM Tractors. I am pushing the mower and tractor hard to get done before dark, but the TYM T25 has great lights.

    Great job, from both parties. The Flail mower done great, and Tonja did a good job getting footage from the drone. I've noticed that the Standard 3 point hitch Flail and the rear Finish mower are about the same price at most big box stores. I'm kinda interested in a Flail mower. Most likely I will get the regular/standard Flail mower. I can see the advantages of getting one like yours Tony. I have two rear remotes on my tractor but for what I will be mowing I can't justify the extra costs. Great video Tony

    I just took delivery of a YT235 Yanmar tractor loader backhoe with several attachments and one of the attachments is a Tar River offset flail mower. I think the Titan mower is a little heavier than the Tar River but for me and my needs I think it will work for years. I did how ever have to set the rear roller and side skids down so it was not a rototiller, but I found the having the front edge up a little bit helps mow better. I just adjusted the center link some. Like I said I just got the tractor and it had 0 hours on it and after 2 days I have about 5 hours on it but the rain is killing me. I like your channel and you put out a lot of good tips and ideas. I have never owned a new tractor or one with a Hydro stat and pedals. I've spent the first 5 hours reaching for the shuttle shifter. LOL. I think all in all both mowers are basically the same, hell this day and age they probably are built in the same factor. And I will agree having the skill set to run this mower is going to take a minute or two. Thanks for sharing and thanks for the help you have given in your videos.

    • @TonysTractorAdventure
      @TonysTractorAdventure  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yanmar makes a great tractor. The offset flail mower has taken me a bit of time to become proficient. I am still learning. I ordered a standard flail mower for the big tractor. It seem to be easier to set the mower height. We shall see. I appreciate your comments. Tony

    I think the drone work, Tanja, is top-notch! You're doing great - don't listen to Tony! Does you drone have a programmable self-following feature? Love a flail mower, but I don't have one.

    • @TonysTractorAdventure
      @TonysTractorAdventure  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It does have a following feature. This was a heavily wood area with over hanging branches. We have not learn to trust it yet. 😁 Tanja is definitely getting better. She never really cared for the drone, but she decided to pick it up a last year. She will be a pro before we know it.

    • @TonysTractorAdventure
      @TonysTractorAdventure  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The mower requires no flow. It runs off the PTO. not much flow is required to move it in or out. I have never tried a hedge, but it is rated to 3 inches.

    PS: Tonya does a GREAT job with the drone! Also, just a few of your videos had me looking to buy the T25 tractor. Unfortunately, Virginia does not have a TYM dealer anywhere near where I live. There are a few subtle differences between the rural King tractor and some of the TYMs. Usually it has to do with a loader valves. All in all, the rural King tractor is a good tractor. I have never heard of anyone that is overly excited about their service.

    Would you prefer this over the front mounted mower to cut slopes and ditches I’m considering buying one or the other ?

    • @TonysTractorAdventure
      @TonysTractorAdventure  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I like the fact this uses PTO power to cut. Some of the front mount mower companies want the owner to run the mower off of the tractor hydraulics. Tractors don't have enough hydraulic cooling capacity, and it will burn them up. My Brush Tiger front mower runs off of a self-contained PTO-driven power pack. It will get up high, but it can't be used on the smaller tractors. Each unit has its place.

    Flail mower...for what? I got a belly mower that will cut just as good. I also have a slitter but don't use it because the belly mower does fine without dealing with installing and uninstalling. Get yourself a belly mower for that tractor or get a tractor that has one.

    • @TonysTractorAdventure
      @TonysTractorAdventure  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I appreciate your enthusiasm about your belly mower, but it will never be able to do what this flail mower can't do. The flail mower is made to cut 3-inch trees down. If you run your belly mower like this, you will be replacing bearings and belts often. Belly mowers are made to finish cut, not rough cut. Would you please reach out to your dealer if you don't believe me? They will tell you the same thing, and it will save you money. I wish you the best.
