I was at church and they were talking about how the new marriage equality law is wrong and I was so annoyed. my friend who is gay was sitting right in front of me and he was so sad because he really likes going to church and they made him feel so uncomfortable and vulnerable. I started to cry when we left and I never want to go back there😒
There are always going to be people who don't believe that it's right but as long as you know where you stand then you shouldn't have to feel upset. There's a point when it's too hard to have people even consider the other side of things, so maybe trying to argue against them would cause you and your friend more heartache than necessary. So you should just be proud of what you believe in and be supportive of your friend especially since they're hearing such negative things in a place that they love. I hope everything works out for you two 💜
