Your last segment reminded me of a poem that I first saw at my mother-in-law's house: "In the Valleys I Grow"
Sometimes life seems hard to bear, Full of sorrow, trouble and woe.
It’s then I have to remember That it’s in the valleys I grow.
If I always stayed on the mountain top And never experienced pain,
I would never appreciate God’s love And would be living in vain.
I have so much to learn And my growth is very slow.
Sometimes I need the mountain tops, But it’s in the valleys I grow.
I do not always understand Why things happen as they do.
But I am very sure of one thing. My Lord will see me through.
My little valleys are nothing When I picture Christ on the cross.
He went through the valley of death; His victory was Satan’s loss.
Forgive me Lord, for complaining When I’m feeling so very low.
Just give me a gentle reminder That it’s in the valleys I grow.
Continue to strengthen me, Lord And use my life each day
To share your love with others And help them find their way.
Thank you for valleys, Lord For this one thing I know.
The mountain tops are glorious But it’s in the valleys I grow!

On my phone I have a Playlist of conference music & there are 3 renditions of "How firm a foundation" I was listening to my music & "how firm a foundation" started playing & it played all 3 renditions back to back. I believe that God was sending me a message when I needed it most

Direction has not always come to us so clearly but many years ago - I WAS doing dishes when I had the thought come to me that my husband needed to get his resume together and that we would be moving soon. I called my husband and he had received the same impression. Within two weeks my husband had been given notice at his work and we did indeed eventually sell our home and move after a few months. We needed that knowledge because otherwise we would have been devastated at that time in our lives (with little savings and three small children). Instead - we felt a measure of peace knowing that God was aware of our circumstances - and that He had given us foreknowledge of this difficult (for us) event.

How great are the tender mercies of the Lord. If not as obvious as your experience, how many times when we look back on a difficult situation can see suddenly see all the many instances that the Lord 'scripted' the path to make the way more clear/bearable?

I loved a part of this lesson so much that I'm making a meme out of it and posting it - I love how Tyler states that God 'could' take away our challenges etc. and why he doesn't - as I was writing this down in my D&C journal, I realised that it is the adversary's way of doing things - to control our lives, to control us. If we are never allowed to move alone we'd never walk, run, dance or go anywhere without a prop; people often refer to God as a crutch or prop but that is the wrong way of seeing Him. He doesn't prop us up - he encourages us to walk in His paths but to walk by our own mechanics (metaphorically speaking). Thank you guys, I always get such deeper insights from your videos - I love that you contextualise the text to give it that deeper impact. From today I can see clearly how such a loving Saviour wants us to use our challenges to form a bond, a strong relationship with Him based on trust and reliance. There is a distinct difference between relying on a person and using them as a prop. Hugs guys - this is such an excellent concept for me.

Thank you for a spirit filled lesson. I feel revelation like a chill that starts at the top of my head and ends in my heart. I also hear a voice speaking to my mind. There are many times when I wonder if a thought is from me or from Heavenly Father. I have always been told that I should follow that thought if it is a good thought. Good things come from Heavenly Father. I try to follow that advice. Thank you guys for diligently teaching us each and every week. I am grateful for your words of wisdom.

You guys reminded me with something Elder Bednar recently taught. Hopefully i dont fumble it too much, but he said that when we wonder and ask if we've just recieved revelation or if it was just our own thoughts, he said we need to realize we can approach it better. He taught that if we are doing the things that make us eligible for revelation (keeping the commandments, studying scripture, praying, fasting, etc), then when the revelation comes, we can trust that is from God. Its no longer a question. So we should be asking if we are doing everything we can to recieve revelation.

Thanks Tyler for mentioning how people can't seem to figure out how Joseph Smith could translate by a seer stone or other means...even looking into a hat...but I can send a photo by airdrop to my phone or any other compatible device...and my phone being a computer does so many remarkable things ..and like you mentioned...God's ways are much higher than man's ways...and God can do anything. As always....We love Taylor, and Tyler, and Zander for all they do to make these lessons so inspirational, and educational. So much work goes into each lesson. We appreciate you for it.

Another excellent lesson video from brothers Taylor and Tyler!! 👏👏🙌🙌 I love your great insights about the scriptures with the Holy Ghost. I so enjoyed learning more about the revelation from your video.🤩 “Heart AND Mind” it’s so true and wonderfully said! I’m so glad that you encouraged us to seek and also study the scriptures more than searching for any answers through the internet. I also enjoyed learning about the Holy Ghost. For me, the Holy Ghost is always the most gentle influence, too. There are so many voices and opinions in this world, but when I feel the influence of the Holy Ghost, it’s always the most peaceful so it’s easy for me to have the Spirit into my heart and mind.(I definitely love to have the most peaceful and gentle influences of the Holy Ghost, that’s the main reason for me to have the Spirit.) 😇 I just need to prepare my heart and myself to understand what the Spirit is trying to teach me though. I need to work on it carefully sometimes, especially when I’m wrong. I’m even more grateful for the Prophet Joseph Smith, Oliver Cowdery and others who truly tried to do their best to be the instruments of the Lord’s work willingly and you all who belong to Book of Mormon Central channel are also such remarkable instruments of the Lord’s work. So thank you so very much for everything you do and give to the Lord and also teach us to be closer to our Savior Jesus Christ even more each week. 🥳 I love D&C6 even more and the section sometimes helps me to keep the promises and personal revelation from my Lord more than the things in this world.😍 One thing, I was hoping that you could teach me about D&C7 more since Peter is my most favorite human! 😂🥰 I’m so thrilled to study and learn about the scriptures this week by the Holy Ghost.😁 Your remarkable insights about D&C7:7 is absolutely true! I’m so thankful for the Priesthood and the power and blessings through the Priesthood. I’ve gained the testimony greatly today. I’m so grateful for the story of Peter and John from Joseph and Oliver’ discussion. I didn’t know that and I’m so glad that they had it and I surely loved it how Jesus answered it to them.😃 I’m so thankful for the purpose of this life in the Plan of Salvation, God’s provided for. This life is truly a great test and we can learn and have many experiences by our agency and deeds. Thank you for your Christ-like ministering to us, God’s children effectively. God bless you all.

Thanks for enhancing my study of the assigned reading this week. In particular, I appreciated your ideas on the fact that we need more than the scriptures in our lives, (or just being a “good person”, as so many want to believe.) We need priesthood authority, so we can make and keep covenants and participate in the ordinances of the gospel. I also enjoyed your views on receiving revelation in our hearts AND minds. Thanks again, both of you.

Before l met the missionaries l was in a place of despair when late one night, unable to sleep l heard a voice, soft yet distinct, strange yet familiar.
The voice gave clear instructions through my heart or my mind what l was to do and told me all will be well. Not many days later the missionaries came to our home.
Writing my journal and years later many drafts of a book depicting spiritual journey and conversion, motivated by accuracy l spent much time trying to decide if the voice spoke thru my heart or my mind, this account seemingly varying with each draft. It never occurred to me it could be both at the same time. Perhaps had l been more diligent in prior studies of the Doctrine and Covenants, l might have completed the book!!!
Taylor and Tyler has done it again - 'insights' just as it says in the heading. Thank you.

Thank you very much Tyler for your insight about Christ showing his wounds. I did not understand that way and really love what you said. About being happy with what we have. A good example for me is eating at the restaurant. It has often happened that I chose something, which seemed good at first, and when I see what the others get, I question and think that what they have smells and look more appealing than what I have. Really in the end, both are good choices. I may get the other dish on another occasion...

As I said before, I look forward to watching these video lessons each week and learning more. It´s been a great and enlightening experience and I feel so grateful to our Heavenly Father for you both, for the opportunity He has given me to study English so that one day I could learn more about His Ways, His commandments, and His love for us. Thank you so much. May the Lord bless you and your families with His highest blessings.

I have found that I have received revelations on the things that I was already pondering. I used to wonder why I didn’t get revelations like some in Sacrament meeting shared. Then I realized that I hadn’t been pondering on those topics.

Thank goodness for the gospel of Jesus Christ in my life. Although I do struggle in life but I can get through with the Lord's help. He knows what's in my mind and in my heart. Thank you for another lesson. Its interesting for me to note Doctrine and Covenants 9:2 that I never notice before. Maybe that will explain how we will get other records in English some day. Just my opinion. 👍

Awesome lesson! Oh my heavens, God is not one dimensional. He doesn’t speak to any of us the same way all the time right? I hear Christ through the Holy Ghost, at church, reading my scriptures, sometimes a thought comes into my heart that I never thought of, sometimes I feel a strong urge to do something, at conference, in the temple! So many ways! The closer I become, aka the older I get, to him the more I see him in my life! I hear people say they think God is dead and I say pray for two weeks everyday! Talk to God everyday and you WILL see miracles in your life! Maybe not miracle you thought and you have to have the eyes to see them, but you’ll see them!! Many years ago my teenage daughter was having such a hard time in school she didn’t have a lot of friends and school was just really challenging for her and I gave her this challenge to pray and read her scriptures all the time......a couple weeks later she came up to me and she said have you noticed how good my hair looks!!! I turned around and said I had noticed!! (She didn’t curl it or do much she struggle with that too!😬) we both smiled bright! We both knew why her hair looked amazing! It sounds crazy, but I’m telling you! God speaks to us in so many ways and He doesn’t not show up! He always shows up, even for me to cry at his feet. I see so many miracles all the time in my life in so many ways.

Really excellent analysis and testimony. Perhaps also consider that the very impressive and large miracles can change behavior immediately and radically, but in general they are likely not as effective as gentle changes that are more about gradual realization and change of heart. The big miracles to some degree override free will, in a sense. So, Jehovah dramatically, but gently showed Elijah the wind, earthquake, and fire - but then was present in the still small voice.
Thank you for your important work.
