    About me (bio) :
I am an artist living and working in France. I learned the techniques of the Atelier of the Nineteenth century and now I try to share some of my knowledge with the rest of the world, because I think that beauty still has an important role to play in artistic creation. I do mostly drawing and oil painting, and my goal is always to provide techniques and explanations that can be useful to anyone, from beginners to more advanced artists.

Ok but I just want to let you know that having a mistake in your work can make it a lot more beautiful. If there's a stain on your Aquarell painting, or you spilled tea over your drawing, or the colors you used are too dark etc, you just have to integrate it into the picture. Outline the stain. Spill more tea on the painting. Create a contrast between dark and light. It always gives the picture such a unique beauty. Like if you fuck up something in your work, there's a 99% chance you can make it even better.

All it takes is *one great teacher* to make a world of difference.
As an artist who struggles with OCD, attention to minutiæ & line detail from the get-go has often led to paralysis from being overly-committed to unrealistic 'perfectionist' ideas.
These pressures were instilled at an early age by misguided parents & frustrated teachers who said, "If you can't do it perfectly the 1st time around it's not worth doing at all..." ~ terribly destructive advice.
Fascinated by ciarosciuro, I taught myself to draw at age 4 by studying & copying works of Leonardo da Vinci and Rembrandt. It upset many people around me for some reason, although I don't fully understand why- even to this day.
*Thank You, sincerely* for this brilliant approach which circumvents all the nonsense stuffed into my head.
I've started artwork all over again, fresh at the age of 65.
It's given me the enjoyment I once felt as a child.
You have a new, enthusiastic subscriber.
    Bless You!🙏✨
