Sure, thanks for the suggestion!
Hi may I ask you is there a hidden "y" sound in this word? I understand that there is a hidden w sound. Thank you.
Hi, yes, the /w/ sound falls between the "you" and "air" syllables. The "y" sound is only there in the "Feb you air ee" pronunciation, but not in the "Feb roo air ee" one.

Good suggestion, I can cover your words in a future class.
Hi, I'll be covering your words today: th-cam.com/video/hOLwpbkTxlg/w-d-xo.html
it is february
saying February without the silent “r” us as difficult as saying “the rural juror”😂
Americans used to pronounce the r and dropping it was a mistake. Just because it is common does not make it correct.
On the contrary, language changes over time, and through use. Correct pronunciation doesn't remain static. I agree that there are many ways in which we pronounce words incorrectly, but leaving the first /r/ out of February is not one of them. www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/February www.britannica.com/dictionary/february
Thanks❤

Hi, in american accent there are two difference vowel chart IPA, for two symbol :
1 - is this symbol /e/ the same sound for /eɪ/
2 - and is this symbol /o/ the same sound for /oʊ/
or
this symbol /e/ unstressed for stressed /eɪ/
and this symbol /o/ unstressed for stressed /oʊ/
We don't have /e/ or /o/ by themselves, we only use them in diphthongs /eɪ/ and /er/ ("air"), /oʊ/ and /or/ ("or"). Different dictionaries might use the symbols differently, however, so look for the guide to symbols to see what they use for the sounds.
@@SpeechModification great reply, Thank you so much. I'm Happy ever day new videos.
@@SpeechModification I agree with /e/ but I do NOT with /o/ cuz /o/ is the long O as in go in American English. The /ʊ/ is disappearing and the schwa is being used instead the /ʌ/ and /ʊ/. The /u/ is moving forward being less rounded
Hello! Hope everyone is doing well. Anyone would like to practice spoken English with me? Please let me know ASAP.
I always thought February should be pronounced Feb-brew-uh-ry
the "a" sound in February should be pronounced as in car, not care right?
Hi, the "ar" is an /er/ "air" diphthong in "February," so like "care."
Feb yew air ee
