I cut off my half siblings. They were abusive to me all my life. Nothing wrong with chosing peace. I'm glad she's classy and doesn't bring it up. I'm proud of her growth . Thank you for teaching me some new things about her today.

I cut off the only sibling I grew up with. While we were very close growing up, we have become estranged in our adult lives. Sometimes it's a necessity to keep peace and sanity. Anyone is susceptible to being toxic, but everyone do not know how to distance themselves from toxicity. I definitely did after far too many years and applaud anyone who has the strength to do so as well.
For a woman who is supposed to be “bad in bed” she sure can get more than one man to marry her❤😂… something bitter Lisa Raye can’t relate to.

Me too I didn't know I had it the whole time and I finally found out at 32 when I had was suffering from Candida due to my blood sugar being extremly high and when I went to the gynecologist the found a lot of sugar in my urine and this is something that I didn't know. not only know how to check your blood sugar through your arm they can also check your blood sugar through your urine and my blood sugar was at 386 and I never experiecned going into a coma which is a blessing and they rushed me into the hospital because my blood sugar was very high even though I was physically and mentaly capable to go to the hospital
and before i went to the hospital I had some shrimp salad and water and 5 little tortillas and when I went to the hospital my blood sugar went down from 386 to 285 naturally with no medications and the doctors where shocked that my blood sugar went down drastically. When my blood sugar when down they changed the doses of my medications and they prescribed me some insulin and I refused to take the insluin because I know that insulin can kill you if you take too much Then God told me to eat spinach and kale to lower my blood sugar. When I started eating spinach I managed to get my blood sugar from from 282 to 78 and 78 is the normal level of where your blood sugar should be. and that's when all the symptoms went away I started to backtrack from my childhood when I had the diabetic symtoms and realized that I had those symptoms when I was 5 years old And my family never took care of thier health so it went undignosed
She is that type of strong you don't see often. She is a warrior a true example if what a black woman can do regardless of what is put in front of her.

But, her TV performances should be recognized more. Aside from Queen, I love how she nailed the portrayal of Janie for the film adaptation of the Zora Neale classic Their Eyes Were Watching God. 💕

I have noticed that Halley does not seem to be close to other Black actresses in Hollywood. I always see Angela Bassett, Loretta Devine, Alfre Woodard, Vivica Fox, Tichina Arnold, Jackee (I could name dozens more) socializing at different times together. But never Halley. I've often wondered do they dislike her? Does she not care for them? Females can be very catty and vindictive so I don't know. Just curious.

Halle is a strong, courageous woman who's been through a lot. I'm glad she finally found true love and is living her best life. She gives women like me hope. I lost my husband in 2020, and for a woman my age, almost 47, dating and finding love is risky and almost obsolete. I can relate to Halle's family issues. My mother was an abusive monster. My sister was the same way. I cut my mom off in 2015. I cut my sister off a year later. It was one of the best decisions I ever made. They were literally driving me crazy. They used and abused me, and I struggle with trying to heal those emotional scars.
It can be difficult to separate yourself from family members you love, but it's more important to keep your sanity and have peace in your life than to keep those dysfunctional, narcissistic people around. Stay safe, well, and blessed everyone
Her film "Bruised" was amazing! She did an exceptional job in her directorial debut. A must see!
