    Thril Magazines are now being shipped with the new MPXs. Thril mags are 40 bucks on their webpage. Come.e in 3 kolors and run good in the MPX-K.
    My MPX-K did not come with Iron sights.

      Thanks for that insight! I didn’t know anything about that magazine manufacturer personally. I’ll definitely look into that as I’d like to purchase couple of more magazines for my MPX.
      I believe the main reason my MPX came with factory iron sights but also was missing custom Timney trigger is because mine is LE/MIL version. I believe that plays the main role for mine to be different than most other MPXs. Thank you for watching!

    Do the metal rails on your brace rub on the upper receiver at all? Is there any contact?

    • @SOBIsHobbies
      @SOBIsHobbies  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Much like my SP5 that has channel grooves for telescoping brace rods to ride on this MPX has the same channels on the receiver. While the rods themselves contact with the receiver because of the c-shaped groove design the brace doesn’t damage the surface of the receiver. I hope my description makes sense and answers to your question.

    How has this this gun been treating you ?
    Biggest complaints?
    What do you love ?

    • @SOBIsHobbies
      @SOBIsHobbies  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It’s been treating me well. Although I must admit I haven’t taken it out for a while now. I’ve been mainly shooting my handguns as I’m teaching my son and my wife to shoot.
      My biggest complaint is the magazine prices. By far MPX magazines were more costlier than my any other PCC magazines and that includes SP5, KP9, APC9 and Scorpion magazines.
      My biggest like about MPX is that it comes with basically everything from the factory (1913 rails, iron sights, ambi controls, M-lok rails and at least 2 magazines (unlike my APC9 that came with only one mag 😅). I know it’s not necessarily a cheap gun but compared to other similarly valued PCC’s (mainly SP5, APC9) it came with everything that I could want right from the start. I didn’t spend anything extra on my MPX aside for few extra magazines and an optic. Thus far it’s been my most cost effective PCC build, meaning I spent least amount of money for extras after its initial purchase.
      Hope this helps. And thanks for watching!

      @@SOBIsHobbies how do you rank the SP5, APC9 and MPX?
      Which is your most favorite? And why ??

    • @SOBIsHobbies
      @SOBIsHobbies  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@TerenceGrier from functionality and practicality standpoint point I would rank them as such:
      MPX > APC9 > SP5
      But if I were to rank them based on my own preference then it’d be like this:
      SP5 > MPX > APC9
      That’s mainly because MP5 platform is my most favorite platform for its iconic design. But from practicality standpoint point it’s obviously an old design and lacks modern features. Not to mention it’s also the heaviest of them all. Whereas MPX is basically mini AR. If you had any trigger time behind AR platform then MPX will make you feel right at home.
      APC9 on the other hand is like a wildcard… it’s not bad. In fact, it’s very solidly built and has a very good quality feel to it. But for whatever reason I still wouldn’t take it over MPX or even the SP5. Honestly speaking not sure why because it’s a nice gun but to me it feels like it’s missing or lacking something for some reason.

    How reliable has this been for you? How many rounds have you put thru it and any issues?

    • @SOBIsHobbies
      @SOBIsHobbies  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      For the most part it’s been very reliable. I only had about 2-3 failure to feed malfunctions when using S&B ammunition (115 grain). Granted I had similar malfunctions with my other guns too when using the same ammo. So most likely it was due to the ammo than the gun itself in my opinion. Otherwise, I haven’t had any other issues with it. At this point I probably shot anywhere between 500-700 rounds through it. Probably not a whole lot to give a full verdict but 2-3 failures out of 500+ isn’t a bad result, I think. I really like this MPX, for the value it offers a lot right from the factory and the finish is very high quality as well.

    Where did you get this

    • @SOBIsHobbies

      I got mine from Proven Outfitters. Ordered online and had to fill out a paperwork to qualify to their LE/MIL program and provide a copy of my DD214. I think SIG is more strict with their military programs than FN or IWI since they required me to provide my military discharge papers. However once I placed my order since it was in back order I had to wait about 2-3 months before it became available again. But the shipping process was super quick. I got a notification that it’s been shipped and couple of days later my FFL called me and told me it was delivered. Also, they don’t charge your credit/debit card until they ship the firearm. So it’s really safe to do business with them. I’ve done business with them many times and I personally never had a single issue with anything. They’re A+ vendors in my book.

      @@SOBIsHobbies They are charging premium money for this gun, should have 3 mags.

    • @SOBIsHobbies
      @SOBIsHobbies  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @lesgarten I cannot agree more. I think, it’s more essential to have more magazines than say iron sights or some other factory add-ons. As most (if not all) users will be personalizing/modifying their guns to their likings anyway. However, with magazines there isn’t whole lot that can be changed, if at all. Therefore, it’d be nice if they could include 3-4 magazines with every firearm.
