    Their success was really not expected. As Suga once said in an interview, "I wanted to go to the 15th floor but it feels like we're on the 60th." BTS wanted to succeed but never imagined to be THIS successful. They deserve it though and as an ARMY, I am very happy for them. I am even happier to see how they stayed humble and kind and didn't let success ruin their great personalities.

    Teddy doesn't deal with BTS (he's YGs in house producer and writer). Pdogg and Slow Rabbit (there's more) are BigHits in house producers that have been with BTS from the very beginning. The BTS members themselves also have a hand in producing some of their tracks.
    The main in house producer is Pdogg he is the highest earning executive in South Korea (if you think Teddy is impressive wait till you see Pdogg, he is actually a sweet heart tbh), if I'm not mistaken in the first 6 months of 2021 he earned over 34 million USD.
    Just to add Japan is the second largest music market in the world. Conquering the Japanese market is no joke.

    • @lilacxx5461
      @lilacxx5461 2 ปีที่แล้ว +26

      Pdogg is really amazing. He has been the the number 1 paid producer in South Korea for I think 4-5 years in a row. He's called the royalty king among all producers in Korea (I saw a Korean producer on youtube talking about it). As expected, since he's the main producer of Bighit and the main producer behind the biggest band, although all the members produce.

      Pdogg is such a godsend in this company, every song he makes is my favorite (including for their other groups too). But I feel like Hitman Bang doesnt get enough credit. People associate him as their boss because it’s true but he was first and foremost a producer and has an active hand in BTS’s greatest hits.

    They just had 4 sold out concerts (over 200,000 tickets sold) at SoFi Stadium in LA, but they will probably go on tour in 2022 after they release their new album.

    BTS creates their own music unlike other kpop group who waits for their producers to give them a song to sing, BTS writes their own lyrics and produce their songs. That's why we love them, through their own created music we feel their genuine love for their fans, they are so humble even they reach such fame. They are a great inspiration especially to mental health issues and self love. Now you know why they have ARMY who supports them this much and why they are this big. Hope you will continue your journey with BTS reactions 💜

Despite their success, they stay so grounded and appreciate and love the ARMYS. 💖 Once u start to get to know them, u'd realyze how good people they are. They are a group of very talented rappers and vocal lines. So many songs u gotta check out. Their music is soooo wide. They are a bunch of good-looking, very talented, kind, humble and happy people. Yeah I can testify that I fell in love with their talent, music, dance and crazy music videos but what made me stay a permanent Army was their story, their message, their love for their fans, their real personalities put out in the world through their vlogs, vlives, and personal shows they do where they go travel as a group and do challenges. You get connected to them and fall even more for these guys. They really are the best 🥺❤

    Actually, their LA concert recently was not a show and it was in fact a full scale concert. They performed 4 days sold out shows!! It was a big concert held in SoFi stadium in LA where the next superbowl will be held.

    • @JoanneGarcia
      @JoanneGarcia 2 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      Yep. It was full on 2.5 hour show, all group songs, no solo pieces. They wanted to give Army all of them since it’s been two years since we’ve seen them live. They went hard, all four days! It was amazing!!

    • @MM-et2jr
      @MM-et2jr 2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Yup, and it sold out during pre-sales so it was never available for the general public. The 4 concerts generated about 33.3 million USD and became the biggest US Billboard boxscore in 18-years - and the 6th biggest boxscore ever (it they had added one more day they would have broken the alltime record assuming it would had sold out too like all the other dates).

    • @OT7_DopeOldARMY
      @OT7_DopeOldARMY 2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      I'll just add to these comments that "sold out" SoFi = 214,000 seats across the four days. PLUS, they added the TH-cam theater (adjacent to SoFi) for a simultaneous live stream and sold that out, too, all four days (an additional 6,500 seats). AND they live-streamed the 4th night and another 500K+ people (I think that's the number I saw?) purchased that.

    As an ARMY myself who loves BLACKPINK i would just want to advice you to not compare both of them with eachother, i have witnessed many fan-wars for silly reasons of their fan-bases, if u don't want to be a part of it just avoid mentioning them in each-other's reaction videos. Both are doing great at their own work and are in no need of comparison. I have seen your reactions on both BTS and BLACKPINK's mvs and noticed u doing so multiple times so wanted to let know, thats it

    BTS didn't just do "a show" recently, they performed 2 sets for the AMA's (1st w/ their collab w/ Coldplay). While in the US recently, they also performed multiple songs for James Corden's Late Late Show, did press conferences AND sold out 4 nights @ the new SoFi Stadium in LA (216k seats sold out before you can even think about buying a tix - just know, it's true, getting BTS tix @ original price is like the Hunger Games, without a doubt! resale tix were going for about $1,500 to as high as $30k...that's right, 3-0). And that doesn't even include the tix they sold for seats at the TH-cam Theater next to the SoFi for fans who weren't able to get tix for the SoFi show, to view live, AND they sold tix to watch their Day4 concert live online. After somehow getting my tix for a BTS concert, I walked around inside that massive stadium thinking: damn, look at these +50k ARMY (many of whom I met flew in from all across the US & from other countries just for these shows, welcoming BTS back to the stage after 2 years due to covid)... all "lucky" to be able to get a ticket. And let me tell you, BTS made it worth all the effort! Their concerts were LIT AF! Not only are they outstanding entertainers/performers, they remain super humble, kind and comedic:)

      That’s an amazing comment! Very awesome you got to see them I’m honestly still mind blown how talented and big bts is. It’s been a inspirational journey so far. We just realized there is so much to see with bts from the old to the new and to top it all off they have solo content 🤯

    • @jcasa3646
      @jcasa3646 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@nanibrothers Thanks:) I've been to a LOT of concerts, from all genres, and these concerts were hands down overwhelmingly good vibes. First, you've got the sheer number fans in attendance, and the very enthusiastic ARMY camaraderie + participation (I mean, kids and adults alike, whose first language is English, were singing along with the Korean lyrics), but that BTS are damn near superhuman energetic performers...may sound like an exaggeration, but it's not! It seriously must've taken a lot for them to narrow down their set list, considering their +300 song discography (there are plenty of fancams posted on YT too). And, they didn't need another act to open for them, they just showed their music videos on the massive screen for everyone to kick it up on lol. Day1, Lizzo was mixing it up w/ fans; Day2, Megan Thee Stallion did a cameo performance on stage for their ft. collab; Day3, Halsey danced all smiles w/ her ARMY bomb from her VIP seats right above me lol (she collab'ed w/ BTS on Boy With Love), and Coldplay showed up on stage for his collab 2.0 for Day4:)
      Anyway, enjoy the journey - it's a phenomenally impressive and fun one! As a side note, I only started on BTS during their Dynamite era (2020) / covid lockdown (they were creating tons of content + online concerts) and have been consuming all their content ever since (never done that to this extent before... it's endless, but a totally feel good one (despite my lighter pocket lol) that brings together people from all walks of life and ages, as their audience has proven:)

    For you to really understand BTS journey, I'd recommend
    1) Introduction to 7 Members of BTS by Ida S
    2) This Is BTS by XCeleste
    3) This is BTS Army by XCeleste
    4) BTS Hardships 2013-2021 by Xceleste
    I'd be careful to mention other groups (especially the 2 groups that you already mentioned) cause there are some really toxic fans that would drag you or start being very toxic. Watch BTS Hardships and you'll understand. There's a reason why BTS Army are very defensive of BTS. BTS not only have to face prejudice from the west but also from S.Korea themselves. These prejudices, unfortunately, still happened to this day. The thing that BTS have went through were unlike other groups. They came from smaller label company that was on the verge of bankruptcy, with no media power and without the big label company privileges. They got so much hate and went through so much that they almost disbanded few years ago. Luckily, they didn't went through with that. But now, with the power of BTS, Hybe is worth 10x more than the BIG 3 (SM, YG, JYP) combined hahaha. They wrote and produced their own songs and their songs mostly have deep and great messages. They do so many different genres. at this point, the only genres they haven't done are probably metal and country music lol

    BigHit/Hybe, BTS's company, has their own in-house writers and producers, with PDogg being the main producer, in addition, the BTS members themselves, co-write and co-produce most of their music. Why do you keep mentioning Teddy? Teddy writes for YG (reason why most of all BP's songs sound the same)...Teddy has nothing to do with BTS and their success. The main reason why BTS weren't big or really known when they debuted in Korea, is not because they weren't good, it is because BigHit, at the time, was small, had no money (BigHit was on the brink of bankruptcy) and the Korean media was/is biased towards artists from small companies...so BTS hardly were invited to shows to promote their music (this is normally how new groups/artists are promoted through the TV screen)...and if they were invited, their performances were cut or shortened. So with the media against them, they decided to use social media...mainly TH-cam to promote themselves and to communicate with their fans. No other Kpop artist or group comes even close to BTS's success level, or impact...none.

    16:08, they actually did 4 stadium concerts in LA (SoFi Stadium) recently (Nov 27-28 & Dec 1-2), all sold out. It was a magical time! Megan Thee Stallion performed with them on day 2, Halsey showed up on day 3 to show support, and Chris Martin of Coldplay performed with them on day 4.

The collective energy was insanely electric!!! I understand theybgot to know BP first and always made them as their point of reference, but as they would soon discover what BTS is all about, I am sure it will blow their minds and they will realize why BTS is not only different, but is at the top with a very good margin of lead.

      Not saying this to pull down blackpink or whatever (I love blackpink) but it's a fact that Bts paved the way for kpop worldwide or on world market especially for international fans.
      Big bang created the way for kpop but it's still not recognized, the song "nobody but you" by wonder girls made the world acknowledged kpop since the song became a hit in the past.... then Psy's "oppa gangnam" made the world aware... but bts made an enormous impact in which their songs were accepted by the international audience and the world... Thanks to army who made great efforts to help bts especially in streaming their music (TH-cam, Spotify and many other more), Bighit, and of course BTS for their efforts, music and dedication.
      I'm an old army so I know...
      How hard we worked to help bts get their first win on a music show...
      How hard bts worked for years to get their first win (2 years after their debut with the song - I need you on 2015)....
      How other people treated bts on weekly idol and calling them talentless ...
      How people tell them they won't make it big...
      Nicknames such as "copyboys"...
      And many other more....

      Backpink company limit their artist to explore and show natural their own talent They're controlled and groomed, No freedom .
      BTS are growned organically, they have their own freedom to express exactly what they feel on their own created music, respect each other between artists and their company work together. Humble people.we watched them grow since their debut ,honesty and transparency was there.thats why ARMY'S was so protective of them.

I get that you are comparing some artists that you like with bts but honestly? you can't compare them with bts when bts is already the biggest act in the world. We were so excited for you to see this and more informative videos of BTS, because at the end, their music and sincerity of their lyrics could help you too. Introducing BTS and their story is just a start, because their lyrics are their thoughts and feelings at those time they release albums and musics, their story about being literally from the smallest company (nearly bankrupt) and their growth to make it the most profitable company in Korea is the living proof that they work hard in everything they got now. Their humbleness and being the same as before (their personality), and being transparent about their feelings give much more sincerity. Their generosity to the world by donating publicly (mostly low-key) to charity and movements/organization to help the world get better, are the best thing they possess which is the reason why they deserve a lot of love from millions of fans, you can definitely see the growth and you can relate to them because we also experienced and still experiencing the self crisis and other social phenomenon.

    I think what makes them different to other idols is that they started from scratch like literally. They don't have any promotions at all and keep boycotting from shows. They work hard themselves cause they're company almost got bankrupt. They are successfull because they trust each other and work hard.

    *Okay listen* Tbh NO Kpop group is on BTS level. They are the only Korean act who can sell out stadiums in the US and UK and they sold those big venues in minutes. The only Korean act who reached number 1 on billboard Hot100 and they did 6x already and achieved that in just a few years (NO OTHER Korean act so far-NO shade but other acts do really rely on media play to look big 💀✌🏻 except bts coz bts has real numbers and sales), BTS is the only Korean act who have 5 billboard 200 number 1s (NO OTHER KOREAN ACT), BTS is the highest paid band in the world since 2018, their company formerly BigHit now hybe is NOW the biggest Korean agency in Korea due to bts success, BTS’ butter holds the most viewed MV in 24hrs raking 108.2M views, BTS is the most streamed Korean act on TH-cam and Spotify (no one comes close) , BTS are diplomats and is worth $5B a year to South Korean economy, the most awarded and the only Asian act and youngest on the most awarded artist in history just behind Michael Jackson and 4 other big western artists. The only Korean act who won on billboard awards, they won ARTIST OF THE YEAR on AMAs, only Korean group who was nominated for the Grammy and they had their second nomination this year with butter (no other kpop groups ever), awarded cultural merit by the South Korean government (the only kpop group who received it & youngest in history), first Asian act in history to topped IFPI (No other Korean act who topped that chart FYI only BTS.), best selling act in South Korean history (1M albums sold in 30mins with their BE album, 4.1M sold in a week with MAP OF THE SOUL:7 album) best selling act worldwide 2020 (over 10M albums sold in 1 year), their CEO is now the most bankable ceo of a Korean agency in Korea.. according to KoreaNow bts market worth $458M per member, literally bts and their company are from rags to riches-t!!!
    I know you’re a fan of other groups but if you get to know bts better and their feats? NO ONE COMES CLOSE TBH. BTS IS INVINCIBLE AND ON A DIFFERENT LEVEL. Oh that chart you see that your other fave group is at number 2? That’s only an easy chart to enter lmao it’s not the HOT100 which bts had 6 number 1s in a few years. BTS is reportedly paid $1M for two songs performed at NYRE, they are also the most expensive korean ambassadors (minimum of $5M per ad) Enjoy ur bts journey! Borahae 💜

The BTS Universe might be very complicated due to several butterfly effects happening in the webtoon and music videos, but if you will understand the whole thing, you will really admire them more, especially on how their mind works for this thing

    It all really started 2013 when they won New Artist of the year.... check that out with the performances. And yes, they did 4 concerts in LA Nov. and Dec. total sell out within minutes and it was crazy good. People flew in from S. America, Canada, Europe, Asia, Australia... just to be there. They were on stage together with no solo breaks for the entire 21/2 hours. The last night Chris Martin popped up from under the stage to sing Universe with them and it was wild.

    The BTS universe begins with BTS's music video - I need you, 2. BTS - on stage: prologue, 3. BTS - Run, 4. BTS - epilogue: young forever, 5. BTS Wings shorts film 1-7, 5. BTS - love yourself highlight reel, 6. BTS - Euphoria. there are a couple more videos, but they don't have much storylines. And to understand the whole story that was shown in the videos, you can watch BTS - storyline summary xceleste. But these clips do not touch on the relationship between a girl and a guy, they are more about friendship, self-love, etc.

    Yes they had a 4 days sold out concert at Sofi Stadium (70000 seats) each. It was their 1st concert since 2019 d/t the pandemic. I was lucky enough to get to see them 2 days at the LA shows and was able to meet a lot of Army around the world just to see them!!! Literally people from Italy, Spain, Mexico, South Korea, Japan, Canada, etc were coming to see them! I think this is so cool that they are so beloved by all the people around the world! My flight from Detroit to LA, there were tons of Army in the plane like a private party so fun 💜🔥

    Teddy only produces for YG artists and any of their collaborations. Same with Big Hit and the other companies. They are very competitive. BTS members have written and produced their own music since pre-debut on, with their in house producers. RM, Suga, and J Hope are the main songwriters and PDOGG is their main producer, but SUGA produces more than the other members. RM has contributed the most song credits. All of them write and produce their solo projects. Blackpink is the most popular girl group right now, but they don't come close to BTS at this point.
