Overall I love my DF54 and think it is great value. However, the ion generator for anti-static is absolutely useless. If it reduces static at all, I'd say 1%. For what you get in overall quality I would still buy it again but the ion generator is completely worthless.
Are you experiencing static?
@@NMEONES for me yes, love the grinder but the ion generator kinda hit or miss sometime depends on the beans. I always using the spoon rdt method and no static at all.
seems like they must have terrible quality control then. lots of people are saying they have static issues, but mine seems perfect. glad i got lucky with it, but feel sorry for those who didn't as it could be a pain in the butt for us people outside of USA to try exchange for non-faulty unit
@@Keigan2well yeah I don’t get any static. I’m wondering if some of the ion generators are faulty.
@@NMEONES I get a ton of static on my unit
Puck screen fell in your water tray :)
why does zero retention grinder manage to clog?
Have you tried the starseeker edge or feepie battle axe?
Please make a blind test between flair 58 vs Bianca
Hey Hoon, where did you get your water spray bottle
At which point in your video could I find a summary on this grinder and its flavour profile?
It's gonna give you a balanced flavor profile with the stock burrs that's it. You upgrade burrs you get better but if you have to do that I recommend the df64 for this. Remember this has a 150 watt motor. I feel the price for any upgrades in burrs unless you get a great price on them might be as much as the grinder cost plus upgrades burrs should be on a grinder that has a better motor. It spin at I believe 1400rpm but the motor? Especially in light roasts?
@@SuperMatrix59 Hmm... I am always so curious how this would compare to cheaper hand grinders like a Timemore C2 or Kingrinder K2. How much of an improvement if would offer, especially regarding separation of flavours and reduction in bitterness. Do you have any experiences with that? Thanks for the feedback :)
